Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Has anyone run into losing an installed airplane? The Carenado C337 still shows up in the Content Manager as installed, it is also in the packages folder, but it no longer shows up on the World screen, nor is it selectable in the Developer mode airplane window... Help! 🙂

they said we would now be able to edit the extra flights in the log book. does anyone know how to do this?

So I am using the AIG traffic models for model matching on Vatism but I am not hearing any sounds. Not hearing anything from inside my aircraft or just going into drone mode and zooming across the airport up close to the traffic. After a little bit of looking through files I found there are no sound files located in this directory "Microsoft Flight Simulator\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta\Sound\AI". It is just an empty folder. I am by no means adept at using the AI Manager, there could be an installation step that I missed. Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

Hello; I am curious about the update procedure of MSFS 2020: Every time that I start the sim it automatically installs world updates. My real question is...does the sim always install necessary updates automatically?...or do we also have to check and install updates ourselves?... how does this really work?...because if i leave this updating proces entirely up to the sim thinking that all will be ok...and then if things start going wrong within the simulator because I forgot to update things myself. So...can this updating proces be left completely to the sim...or do we also additionally have to update ourselves also?...

I thought this was just a VR issue, but just checked and the same in non Vr but whenever I fly In North America., e.g. New York and surrounding area, Florida, the houses look like they are out of a post apocalypse movie. Strange shaped, squashed roofs, very dull walls with marks on them. Places like London, Spain, any Uk , Germany , Netherlands , France and even South America they look great. I have not installed any scenery add on 's only MSFS scenery. Tried deleting the rolling cache, and just updated to the latest version of MSFS, still the same. I am trying to map elevator trim to my hardware using Spad.next but the usual suspect I use for so many other aircraft "Elevator Trim PCT" does not work. I cant even see the Elevator trim up/down, is it on the stick in an RV-14 aircraft? Also trying to map the Autopilot button (the one from the switch panel) to my Honeycomb Alpha, Does not seem to be as easy as mapping the "Autopilot Master". Is it perhaps a Circuit that should be mapped to this button for it to move? Thanks

Hey all, I was having a thought the other day about what would be a perfect sim addition as far as both traffic and ATC that controls the traffic in the sim. Bear in mind that this is perfect world stuff here so some may just not be possible currently, just more of a thought experiment. Also no preference on if this is Asobo or a third party, however ideally I would want one 3rd party to do both ATC and traffic as they are so intrinsically linked. So far, this is happening in the Asobo C172 Classic (the one with the steam gauges) and Just Flight's Arrow 3. It may affect other aircraft too, so I'm interested to know whether anyone else is experiencing it. In the Arrow, the radio panel illumination is fine - it's only the lighting on the gauges. Similar with the C172. It's not a regular flicker, more like a loose wire - irregular, starts and stops etc. Anyone else got this ?

Hi, lets say i fly IFR low altitude airways to Orlando International, the ATC tells me i will have to land on 18L (RNAV 18L) and they tell me im clear to proceed to ZANTI. Thing is, in my original flightplan i would still have another Waypoint loaded, im on my leg to COZMO. I currently have no Approach loaded in the G1000. What do i do now? Load the approach and activate it, going straight to ZANTI from my current position? Or do i keep flying as planned and finish my leg to COZMO and then to BITHO (last waypoint before KMCO airport in my flightplan) and then proceed to ZANTI? Same goes for a missed approch. Hi, i seem unable to find a good tutorial explaining proper Turpoprop handling. Im just started to switch from the 172 to the Cessna 208 Caravan to learn a bit about Turboprops. Now my question is: How do i handle certain Situations when it comes to the engine? Takeoff: I set parking brake. Condition lever to high and prop lever to full. Then i increase throttle until the plane wants to go, then i release parking breaks. During Takeoff and initial climb i look that no engine parameter gets into the red. On the Cessna 208 Caravan with the WorkingTitle G1000 the Torque shows a blue "thing", looks similar to the Heading selector. Does any…

I fly a lot with REX WeatherForce, but I just did a flight with Live Weather and was amazed at some high level clouds above a cumulus layer. Some of them were almost cirrus like and others cirro-stratus looking - even some looking like cirro-cumulus. I have never seen formations like this in Live Weather before so I'm wondering if some cloud work is going on in the background? I have been critical of Live Weather clouds, but credit where credit is due, these looked great! Either that or some of you have seen these clouds and I have spent too much time in REX WeatherForce 😁

Not a big fan of MSFS Live Weather. Rex Weather Force seems to be the only weather add-on. Is it a significant improvement over Live Weather? Is it a recommended add-on?

Okay, I just landed with the FBW A320N at Brussels (Aerosoft) from Bristol (Pilot's). Everything worked very well with SU9. I was expecting worse from everything I read here recently. I did move my LOD settings back to 100 and that seemed to cure any FPS or smoothness issues, for me at least. However, after i parked at the gate, I took the drone to look inside the terminal and was amazed to discover moving walkways inside the terminal. Wow, that flipped me out! Lee

I am using the Logitech M705 wireless mouse. It has two additional small buttons on the left side buttons that you can push in with your thumb. They are used to go forward or backward one page when looking at a website like this one for example. Does anyone else use this mouse and have figured out what we could use those buttons for in the sim? Thanks

Is there a place in the sim that lists the Photogrammetry (?) detailed cities/areas in the sim so we can start at some of those airports. I know major cities like New York and London, I think, are in that category, but there are supposed to be many others. If not in the sim itself, maybe an addon mod? Thanks

Just returned after 2 years away now I have a PC that will run MSFS. I am no expert and am struggling on the Jetliners , Boeing 747, 787 and Airbus A320 (Default) to engage the Autopilot for the heading. I can get VSI to work, Altitude to work , , and Auto throttle, just cannot get any of them to turn to the heading I dial in. Its probably something really simple I am not doing. Any one give me a 1,2,3 of what buttons to press ? For each of them. Driving me insane (er) Many thanks for any help
