Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Ok, i have serious issue here after SU9, sim is not crashing or freezing but flight is not going to start even blue progress bar reached the end. I have removed all content of Community folder plus deleted and disabled rolling cache. Computer restart also done. Any help please?

Apologies if this has appeared elsewhere. Yesterday I started the sim, very briefly a message appeared 'syncing with xbox' during the initial splash screens. This was very brief, since then I do not get the 'checking for updates' screen and when flying I do not now get the spinning wheel. Is this the new norm or is something going wrong? My internet connection is good. I am using the store version.

I’ve seen in various topics that you should do A and B before updating. Like deleting some files and such. Can someone help me out and list those things before I update and where I can find those certain files, please? I have MS store version.

I had hoped that the problems some have with live weather (see thread below) had been solved with SU9, but alas, it didn't. Unfortunately REX WeatherForce also seems to suffer as the program crashes. I hope a solution is imminent.

So I have updated to SU9 and noticed that the custom tail numbers are not showing on my aircraft and cant seem to find an option to enable. Was this feature removed? I can see my Tail Number on the number plate in the cockpit but not on the exteriors... And also is the TBM just really hard to trim or am I doing it wrong? Thanks....

Upon launching i get this error message...and then the only option is to then quit...nothing else...so then i quit and restart again with the same error message...its like a continous loop. I have MSFS 2020 installed on my pc with windows 11. Help is appreciated.

So, at SU8 i was able to fly at around FL350 and the sephia effect was at the very far horizon. Now, at SU9 again the detailed night lightning are at a very close radius from the plane and sephia effects is all around. Anyone else ?

I just can't seem to find the right setting. But I'm still seeing cases of the weird colored stock msfs planes or even planes stacked upon each other. Multiplayer traffic is off for the moment. Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks.

I logged into Simmarket yesterday and out of curiosity I put the Boeing 247D into my shopping bag to see how much it cost. The answer was 17 Eur. Anyway after conversion to AUD I saw it was 10% or more cheaper than the marketplace price and as that plane has been described as the greatest thing since sliced bread I hit the buy button. Hi all, since the last mandatory update of last night 26/04/20 I have not been able to input any airports reference into any FMC, just getting Not In Database message, Navdata is from Navigraph and installed via Navdata Centre, I have today spent most of the day trying to cure this issue, I have deleted my FlightSim.cfg, Content.xml and my Scenery Indexes in order to get a clean sim, but alas its not worked, anyone got any ideas?.

I have the filters all on, but in the planning map, airspace doesn't show or navaids and fix and rnav position? Was with SU9 yesterday. Any ideas anyone?

Su9, well what can I say. The frame time is atrocious. Dropped frames all over the place. 3090, i9900KS 5ghz. 4K. 75% of time mainthread limited. Should really be gpu limited. My main cpu core is around 85% loaded so 15% to spare, so there shouldn’t be any need for stuttering. Yet the amount of dropped frames is unbelievable. Using trackIR, looking to the left or right = dropped frames. Turning a fast plane = dropped frames. This is tested with and without g-sync, the internal Limiter with/without. External lock to 30/40/60 using RTSS. PG off/on. LOD 100 and 200 tested. Doesn’t matter what setting is changed to alleviate the CPU, it drops fram…

As the title says. Everyone being forced to update when every release breaks more than it fixes is just creating way more frustration than we need. I hope some clever modder can figure out a way to turn off/on auto upgrades.

Hello 🍻 I had several requests in the past to improve a bit the 'launch program' in Addons linker because the current options were a bit too cheap 🙃 . It's now possible to set parameters specific to each programs indivudually (little 'edit' button on the right or 'edit' in the right click menu), hopefully it will make it more user friendly and useable (or not 🙈). Hi guys, I'm learning to fly the c172 g1000 and downloaded the working title g1000 nxi mod. I've been googling for an hour but cannot figure out how to tell the mod is indeed working/installed?
