Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Without TrackIR the mouse hides after 4-5 seconds, which is really nice. Any idea how to do that with TrackIR? The mouse doesn't ever hide. It would be nice if it hides after the same amount of time, if I have not touched it. Thanks.

I got the HondaJet. I always bounce it. The manual says to only lightly flair. Is landing a jet different than landing a prop plane. Any advice?

Since last two days, I have a problem with Fenix A320 external EFB. MY in sim EFB works flawlessly and can connect to simbrief, download flight plan and OFP. However, my external EFB on samsung tablet does not recognise simbrief flight plan. When I start flight, it say that no flight plan found and when I try to download OFP, it says no plan found under username. I can control ground action, load aircraft, download navigraph charts through external EFB. All ok except simbrief connection. I tried starting in sim EFB before external device and vice versa. No difference. All was good till last week. Simbrief name on both EFBs is same. Anyone else is hav…

I have bit of a porblem must have pressed some wrong keys when setting up flight. In exterior view, on the bottom of my screen have circles showing airpeed, fuel flaps and altitude. I really don't need this stuff, never used this before. What setting do I need to get rid of these circles about the info above. just forgot, in the past year and half never had them on my screen.

I use fslabs A320 in my p3d v5. I also use msfs2020. Fenix has released A320 for msfs2020. FSLabs will also make the same for msfs2020. Also fslabs will do A320 neo and A330 for both p3d and msfs2020. Now, I am totally confused whether I should go for Fenix or wait for FSLabs! Haseen Ahmad.

I have been very busy with work, family and other "stuff" so I haven't been flying for the better part of a year, except for a few brief occasions. I decided to update everything and see where things are with MSFS the past few days. Overall I think a lot of progress has been made, both with the sim and the add-ons that are available for it. First, the environment looks much better. The clouds, lighting, trees, grass, ground textures...it all looks much better to my eyes. It is a very believable world to fly in now. This airport has tons of hangars that are exactly the same color and look, maybe some are a different shape. Wonder why an airport would do such a thing, maybe a bulk deal they got for purchasing the hangars? It's a really strange looking airport near Missoula (Missoula Intl is just 35 miles north), and since it's so close and I'm releasing a version of Missoula soon.... If anyone has any knowledge, info, or pictures of this airport, please let me know.

I have a strange issue where I have problems now with the 414 after updating. 1) The TDS GTNxi no longer lights up after the avionics master is switched on. The A/P and Transponder work but not the GTN. The normal GTN program is running and showing connected to MSFS. 2) I no longer have any liveries that were for the 414 in my Community folder showing up on the livery selector. Did Flysimware change something that is disconnecting these two things and does anyone know how to fix it ?

Hi all, First off, I apologize if this has been covered; I did not find any related posts. This is not the first time the issue below has happened but it is the first time I cannot seem to fix it. Recently, I installed FSLTL (freeware AI traffic package). Breaking the cardinal rule of adding one thing at a time, I also installed the Carenado PC12 and the Aerosoft Twin Otter. FSLTL was CTD so I uninstalled. Evidently, something went wrong and many of my gauges have become corrupted/no longer display correctly (no color, half the gauge missing or screen completely blank). I have version 1.2.2 which I believe is the latest. Just getting back into flying this beauty and I notice the ECS screen is not coming on when I activate the Avionics. I have never noticed this before, but is that normal? Could it be an issue with brightness adjustment somehow? Maybe I need a re-install. Regards

Hi all, Ive jumped in and purchased GSX Pro but have a few questions. I know FSDT have a forum but I am waiting to be approved so hoped someone may be able to help here with a few basic questions: 1. Does GSX clash with any other pushback modules or can I still have the FS2crew one or one from flightsim.to for quickness? 2. I have found that if you select deboard without setting the jetway first, I get people walking through thin air. Is there no way for GSX to insist you have a jetway connected first? 3. I haven't flown in probably 2 weeks but today went in to fly the TBM as I always do and I get this weird cockpit view (99% of the cockpit is misssing). Has anyone else ever experienced this. I haven't added anything or changed anything since the last time I flew the TBM. I'm at a loss how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Since the last (small) update FS 2020 hangs for well over 6 minutes while loading and always on the same spot (at around 85% loaded). Game load blazingly fast from an NVMe drive but hangs at the spot in screenshot for well over 6 minutes, then continues to the main screen. While it hangs there, the CPU activity goes to a minimum and in Task Manager Flightsimulator goes into a Non Responding state. This last part made me think something was wrong/corrupt after the last small update yesterday, making me uninstalling with lots of MS Store throubles to get it back installed. Good afternoon, I haven't flown the sim in several month. Did a VFR flight today in the C172 and tried to enter a destination using the Direct To button in the G530 but it didn't work. I couldn't get the GPS to let me enter specific letters nor numbers. Is this now a known problem using the GPS in this aircraft? In the past it worked fine. Any thoughts? Mike

If I try to set up cockpit cameras using the CRTL+ALT+a number combo I get a CTD, is this a known thing?, anybody else? I have emptied my community folder and tried rolling back to an earlier nvidia driver but that didnt help

Seems odd to see 79% for SIP and 17% for MSFS. Right now I'm having great performance but I get the odd brief judder or shake and wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I was at ground zero for hurricane Ian (Punta Gorda) and still do not have any Xfinity/Comcast cable connectivity. I do have a 5 to 6 Mbs LTE connection thru ATT/iPhone. I setup the iPhone to be a personal HotSpot and Windows recognizes it as such. Windows 10 recognizes the iPhone-USB-PC connection as Ethernet 4 and everything works as normal - just much slower than my 600Mbs Comcast cable(which is online three blocks from here but not in our neighborhood) However - MSFS says I am online and I see it talking to the internet via Ethernet 4 but nothing loads and all my scenery is just dismal offline stuff. Hello, maybe one of you have a similar issue and probably a solution: I have just EDGE browser and this forever. It started some weeks ago (maybe with SU10 release, but it was not the case with Su10 versions before 1.27.21.0) that MSFS freezes during loading. I tried a lot but finally I could nail it down, that this just happens when I have hardware acceleration enabled in EDGE browser. So, does anyone else see this also, or does anyone have a solution for this? thx

I have a 500 GB SSD as my main drive.It is getting kind of full with MSFS stuff. My question is, if I set up add on linker, can the files that are in my community folder be moved to my D drive which is almost empty? If so, is there any downside to doing that?

Trying to land the Kit Fox and after touch down, plane goes squirrely all over the runway. Can't seem to keep it straight down the Runway. I know when taking off I have to give it some right rudder. But the landings are giving me grief. Coming in at around 40/50 kts. Tried flaps and no flaps on the landing still hard to keep under control and keep it in a straight line. Anyone else having this problem? Or any suggestions? I've played with the sensitivities. Helped a little bit I think, but not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Walt

Not sure if this problem is isolated to just the fenix but I believe it's an Asobo issue that has to do with their eye adaptation feauture and it's really annoying. I have posted 2 screenshots for you to see. I've tried turning eye adaptation off and on but don't really see a difference. This is taking in the peak afternoon with the cockpit screens turned all the way up to maximum brightness. The problem is it's either the outside view is properly balanced and exposed while the inside cockpit is dark and difficult to see OR if you pan down the cockpit is well exposed and easy to see, but then you give up the outside view as it is overly washed out!
