I just installed the v3 of OERK from AZRSIM in MSFS 2020. Very disappointed, a number of issues: - when downloading the installer, it also downloads a separate file, OERK-lkt89z (which I believe is a config file). However, no information on what to do with that file, where to put it etc. - the scenery is really bad with performance. I can run iniBuilds EGLL, KJFK, KLAX all fine with traffic. But OERK is a stutter and FPS drop fest (that's without adding any traffic!). There doesn't seem to be any way to turn off the very detailed (and nice looking) interiors. Most hard core simmers don't want detailed terminal interiors...just decent scenery with good performance. Doe…

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some help troubleshooting performance issues I'm having with MSFS 2024. I recently upgraded to a high-end system, but I'm still experiencing significant stutters and lower-than-expected FPS, especially compared to MSFS 2020, which runs flawlessly. Here are my system specs: * CPU: Intel i7-14700kf * GPU: Nvidia RTX 4080 Super * RAM: 64GB DDR5 * Storage: 2TB NVMe SSD (where MSFS 2024 is installed) * OS: Windows 11 * Nvidia Driver Version: 572.42 My MSFS 2024 graphics settings are mostly on Ultra, with DLSS set to Quality. I've also tried experimenting with DLSS Swapper and different DLSS versi…

I was flying at 2pm EST yesterday on the East USA server, Multiplayer turned on, & only 1 other aircraft's tag appeared. I then cycled through all the other Servers & nothing appeared on them, so I am wondering if Multiplayer is actually working in MSFS 2020? T45

I know they are from the career mode, but I don't have time to play that mode. I just want to take some free flight for sightseeing. I can recognize the monument valley, Yosemite valley, and Uluru, and I'd especially like to know the locations of the following scenes: 1. Cypress trees. Might be somewhere in Italy? 2. An airstip surrounded by coconut trees. 3. A beautiful lake. 4. A high bridge, or Rome water ducts? Thanks in advance for your help!

I always opt into all beta versions of the flight sims and windows. It seems like about every week or so something updates and breaks something I have setup. I have an old slow pc and run the sims as high as they will allow just keeping above the slide show. My pc is an old 390 mb, 9600k with a 2060 super sporting 32gb of memory and a bunch of drives. All on high with a few Ultras like clouds. FPS locked on 30 running 3 monitors 1440P. Other hardware includes the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo along with an Xtouch Mini, a MIAP Pro 24, and a Stream Deck 16. Lots of control possiblities to drive me nuts. I am retired now and have used sims since the Sublogic day…

Took the Cirrus Vision Jet G2 out for a spin but noticed that I needed "a lot" of forward stick input to keep the plane level, much much more than on other aircraft. Added quite a bit of down trim to easy of the power needed on the stick but still the plane would go up into a loop if I let go. Thought that there was something wrong with the calibration of the stick but that wasn't the case. Switched to other aircraft for comparison, but there it was all fine, just a little forward push on the stick was needed for level flight if not trimmed. Switched back to the Cirrus Vision Jet G2, same story, if not trimmed "a lot" it just loops the loop if no stick input is us…

Hello, for instance, C172, C208, Vision Jet, I didn't try all, but they look visually great. While others, like Cessna Longitude, looks like has been made in one afternoon. CJ4 is even worse, looks like a cockpit from FS9 - or was it FSX, where VC became reality. What's up with that?

Hi, In FS2020 it was completely normal to set your time to whatever you want and still get live weather data. In FS2024 however, the weather always seems to fetch historical data of the time you set in the sim. I sit in Zurich at the moment. In real live it is snowing there. When I sync the sim time to the real time, the weather is correct. When I set the sim time to morning for example, the weather immideately changes to how it was in real life in Zurich in the morning, even though "Live Weather" is still selected. Is there any chance to get really live weather even though the time is set differently? Kind regard Martin

I have an old iPad 2 with 64 GB of memory and a 3060 TI gpu and 32 GB of RAM. Can an MSFS 2020 window (the tablet or the built-in VFR map in MSFS 2020) run on an old iPad 2 in a two-monitor setup with MSFS running on a desktop? Thank you.

MSFS airliner for me Is 1. Fenix 2. PMDG 777 3.Just Flight RJ and Ifly 737 4.TFDi Md-11 ( This plane is still not ready for awards, I am not sure why its nominated) The best freeware is of course A-380 FlyByWire and the WinWing should get a nod for their amazing MCDU and FMS

I work from home a lot and tend to do flights "around" my workday so I like flights around 10-12 hours. That way I can depart prior to my first call, monitor the flight as I work, this is my current flight viewed from my work desk. It's on the other side of one of my Deskpro Conferencing systems so all I have to do is tilt my head to see it LOL. The soundbar with the 3 cameras is a full room conferencing system but the simulator is hidden under it if I move the Overhead so no one else can see it 🙂 With that said, today is my "longest" long haul in MSFS to date. KSFO-NZWN direct. I know NZWN has had 777's before so I know it's capable and I remember NZWN even i…

Hello everyone. I'm new to flightsim but I'm really enjoying the learning process so far. I have been watching youtube videos and recreating the flight plan and landing approaches etc. from the video. But I have noticed that even though I plot in the exact same flight plan as the videos, then my travel distance and travel time is not the same, it actually fluctuates quite a bit. The top part of the pictures are from the youtube videos and the bottom part are from me. I choose the same plane, runways, parking spots etc. as in the videos. I'm sure the sim is correct but can someone help me understand. I know that the winds will of course affect the flight t…

Hi. I had always thought that damage was not allowed to be shown in MSFS, so that the age rating (suitable for all ages?) could be kept for MSFS. But in the latest iniBuilds A350 stream, they model bird strikes, and they show the bird strike damage on the A350: Is this something new to MSFS 2024 only, or maybe MSFS 2020 + MSFS 2024 are allowed to show limited damage? I'm pretty sure iniBuilds knows what they can and can't do in MSFS since they are one of the closest partners to the MSFS team (iniBuilds isn't 1st party, but they're as close to 1st party as you can get, given that they get so much work contracted to them by MSFS). That's awesome though …

So I currently have a Saitek Multi Panel unit and have been using Spad.Next snippets that others create to get it working. I'm finding it more and more difficult to get it to work properly with newer aircraft (I fly mostly commercial payware). Seems like you have to be a fairly serious programmer to customize Spad, and I'd rather spend my time flying than trying to figure out LVARS and BVARS. (Btw, tried AAO's and that didn't work with the Multi Panel either). Thinking of investing in a WinWing FCU and leveraging Mobiflight and flightsim.to profiles. While not completely plug and play, from what I've read it seems like a much easier solution to implement. …

I've noticed that in my MSFS2024 community folder I have 3 FSLTL folders fsltl-traffic-base fsltl-traffic-base_CVT_ fsltl-traffic-injector Is that correct as I only remember having two folders in MSFS2020 or has that CVT folder appeared or come out of another folder for some reason?

I have been experimenting over the last few days to get the best smoothness in MSFS2024 - particularly since I am using head tracking. One of the things that seems to work well in general is frame gen (using an 4090 here) but X2 lossless scaling, where I have a good balance of clarity and ultra smoothness when moving my head. However, only issue I have that this seems to only work when the mouse cursor is active - as soon as it goes away it looks as if lossless scaling does not recognise the FG generated frames anymore. Initially I thought this had to to with the screen losing focus - but also if I click the middle mousewheel to pan around (and the cursor disappears) I am…

After successfully completing a route and landing, I'd like to use the same runway and go to a new airport without turning off the engines and without changing the panel state or refueling. (Basically, just doing a U-Turn at the airport but taking into account the direction of the wind. I still have lots of fuel and no passengers or cargo to load or unload... just doing a joyride. 🙂 ) After programming the FMC with a new origin and destination airport, how do I reset or re-arm VNAV and LNAV ie. clear the FMA which is now showing VOR/LOC and G/S because I did an ILS autoland?
