So I have had a history with my RAM and MSFS 2020. In a nutshell, when I bought my computer, the computer shop set the RAM frequency in my BIOS higher than what my CPU could actually handle: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/622877-any-gpu-overclocking-results-in-ctds/#findComment-4823993. So when I lowered the RAM frequency, all the tests in MemTest then passed, MSFS 2020 stopped CTDing on me (as well as the odd CTD I got in Age of Empires 4), and all is gucci, right? Fast forward to MSFS 2024. MSFS 2020 is generally stable for me, and Age of Empires 4 is way more stable for me. However, when I started using MSFS 2024, the CTDs start in MSFS 2024 again, and wor…

Not sure why I'm getting screen tearing, even though I have V-sync ON. I am currently using the latest DLSS 4 (preset K) with NVIDIA drivers 572.16. These are my settings. I'm playing on a 4K TV 60hz. Don't ever recall having this problem when using autofps app.

It looks like NVIDIA has fixed CTD during loading MSFS 2020 with Directx 11 and NVIDIA app installed. 1 Download Nvidia Hotfix 572.24 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5624 2 Uninstall the current NVIDIA driver using DDU in windows safe mode. 3 After the restart, install the downloaded hotfix driver. UT25 is exceptionnal and unique for your pilot’s eyes and your pilot’s skill. The approach cockpit views are stunning. It’s the only airstrip in the iconic Monument Valley, Utah. It’s runway is one-way-in and one way-out facing a 700 ft mesa. You’ll land uphill on runway 16 and takeoff on 34 which is also a very narrow sloping runway. All this in a desert altitude-density environnement. A real challenge for pilot, perfect improvement for MSFS compared to the default autogen airport. My little freeware is available for free: https://flightsim.to/file/55726/monument-valley-airport-ut25 Features New custom made buildings: restroom and hangar Add wire ro…

I am gonna setting up my new rig next week (if I find time and get in the mood), however, I am not sure if I should install MS2020 and MS2024. So far I haven't flown a single flight with the new sim and still fly FS20. But since I want to save some space on my SSD I am wondering if I should just skip it. Another question: How to organize the drives? I have one 2TB SSD and one 1 TB SSD. Should I seperate the partion for MSFS and Windows? Some people say windows belongs to it's own SSD and software to another, what do you think about it? Would you use the 1TB for MSFS or rather the 2 TB? I am also doing video editing, so will need some storage for that too.

Hey guys, i have this strange issue with MSFS. I’m running 3 x samsung TVs all in full screen and when using front TV full screen i get slight stutters on my right side view. The left side view and front is smooth. Using DLSS also. If i exit full screen on the front the right view doesn’t stutter anymore and its smooth? So I don't know if this will come across as clearly as it does on my machine but I tried to grab a couple of very quick videos as I was climbing out of KEWR this morning. This is with DLSS4 AND Lossless Scaling running LSFG 3.0 in x2 mode with the PMDG 777 displays. I've found the best combination for me is LS for Takeoff and Landing to help with the odd FPS drop and then Native FG so LS off in cruise to prevent the jitter from over-generated Frames. I am really zoomed in with my phone because this looks pretty darn clear and sharp to me... Much better than any DLSS technology I have seen before and with the benefits of DLSS and FG. I mean th…

Any idea what is going on here in the pics? (aside, I see the SC.7 Skyvan is still broken and immediately runs out of fuel just sitting there) https://i.imgur.com/GDLtPF9.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/8OahZsB.jpeg

Hello, I have gone back to MSFS 2020 to fly PMDG 7378. I have reinstalled MSFS 2020 and PMDG 7378. The last update that I have installed for the 737 is 3.0.39. But there is a last update which is 3.0.112 and it says its too old to installed. Is there a way to be able to install the lastest update even thou it says is to old to install?? Thanx for the help. I appreciated.

I am trying to install AIG flight models into my PC. With UPS/JetBlue/JeJu Air/Philippine Air and Air China certain aircraft type models models hang and don't install and there is no way to get around it. Is there a way around this. It appears as though members on the AIG Forum are not familiar with a workaround and they have no Tech support ticket system either. Thanks in advance.https://www.flickr.com/photos/202244039@N06/54308681027/in/dateposted-public/

In settings I am trying to set up a 32gb rolling cache. Lower right rotating circle seems to be working. Yet, even after 30mins it is still not completed. How long does it take ?

For a few days now, at the start of a flight with the PC-12, I am no longer placed in front of the aircraft, but I am immediately in the aircraft and I cannot leave it by pressing SHIFT-C. Problem: I cannot remove the pitot cover and engine cover. No problem with the Vision Jet or the C172. Empty community folder (exept Navigraph) I have five PC-12 in Carrier Mode and can not longer earn money.😪 Anyone any Idea ???? Achim

I am disappointed to find out that MSFS 2024 still have those ugly floating light orbs. I was hoping that they would actually attach those light orbs to an object, like in that other sim. That's an immersion breaker that I wish they would address already. Has there been any word about this at Asobo/MS? Has the issue even been addresses and brought up? Don't get me wrong. I love MSFS 20xx, and especially with 2024, it's shaping up to be an incredible and visually breath-taking sim, but that's one issue they seriously need to consider fixing.

Well, I remember a Youtube video of MSFS 2020 averaging over 200 FPS with a 4090. But this is new. Looks like you can get over 300 FPS with MSFS 2024 at 1440p using an NVidia 5090: I don't think the author of that video is using any add-ons though. I suspect add-ons like Fenix, FSLTL, GSX, BeyondATC, etc, would lower the FPS drastically. But anyways, here you go, MSFS 2024 at over 300 FPS without any add-ons.

I just learned, that in the new iniBuilds OMDB scenery, some gates are again permanently blocked, even if you disable static aircraft. This is a show stopper for me and I'm quite shocked that iniBuilds still does this, even though most other developers move away from static aircraft. But I don't just want to complain, but solve this problem and I'm willing to learn the scenery editor. I would like to know, is it possible to import a third party ground layout into the scenery editor and add the missing gates or would I need to start from scratch?

Can we use this post to talk about MSFS weather. Does anyone else notice just how much improved the weather is? I did a flight yesterday out of low lying fog in Santa Barbra which when I broke out and was at 3000 feet was above the cloud tops. It was such a beautiful formation how the cloud tops looked as I skimmed above them. Then arriving in Van Nuys it was haze. I could see the haze bank filling the valley and how it dispersed into the foothills. Never once did the clouds flash or break. Then on a prior flight getting into Big Bear, coming around the mountain range in a C152, getting bounced around pretty good from ridge lift and turbulent winds. I am truly enjoyi…

Is there such a thing? I can't find a Black Square web site, support forum, or Discord server. What I'm wanting to do is remove the co-pilot from the Shorts 360 cabin. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
