I have created a tutorial on how to fly the Cessna Citation Longitude. It covers elements like using the autopilot, setting frequencies, etc. It is now available at: https://youtu.be/i5-QCyGDia0

I noticed landing in John Wayne last night all the taxiways were designated same letter. Now flying out of Manchester and all intersections alongside 23R are labelled C???? Is this just me or......offensive initials not allowed

Not sure if this is how it supposed to work, a bug or Pilot error . I have set the required altitude, taken off and have armed Nav on the AP but not engaged AP. I trim to the vy speed and manually fly to intercept the GPS. Whilst still climbing I engage AP to capture Nav mode but all hell breaks loose and the aircraft nosedives, trimming all the way down. On the flip side if I don’t engage AP until I reach altitude then everything is OK. it may be that’s it’s all or nothing on the AP front but that’s not what I’m used to. Could someone enlighten me? FYI this is in Cessna 172 but it’s the same across the board.

First my computer specs: Intel Core i7 7700 @3.60 GHz Graphics Card - 2047 Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 48GB RAM 34" LG 60Hz Monitor (2580x1080) Spectrum Internet 400 MBPS Toshiba 4TB external Hard Drive After gettting MSFS 2020 set up, it recommended "High End" settings. My first 3-4 flights went great. Then it started stuttering. Stuttering continued to get worse. I cut back on all of the settings. Stuttering contnued to get worse. Now no matter what airplane, or airport I go to MSFS 2020 is totally unusable. I'm sitting in the Cessna 172 at Honolulu, as I just sit there the stuttering is so bad the engine litterally quits and starts…

I am planning in the future, after things calm down a bit after the launch, to purchase the sim. I read that in order for the sim to work you need to have the current version of windows 10. I installed version 2004, the current version, and it just about broke my computer. After hours of trying to fix the problems, I finally had to reinstall the prior version. I don't know if or when I will be able to use version 2004. Does this mean I cannot use MS Flight 2020 ?

Based on below benchmarks, looks like existing computer hardware don’t have sufficient juice to handle MSFS on ultra high definition and with the graphics set to very high. The 2080 ti and 2080 super struggled to keep up with MSFS during the benchmark. Some of the stuttering could be the result of GPU bottleneck and not necessarily MSFS. Will the 3080 ti or 3080 super be able to crush MSFS? It’s possible that the game is ahead of hardware technology.

Just a little nudge for asobo, lands end airport / UK - needs some updating. It is a tarmac runway IRL, the grass is overlayed on top of the tarmac satellite imagery. Taxi sings in the middle of the runway etc was much better in p3d true earth this is my local airport I always fly from so just a nudge in case it slipped under the radar. thanks

I am enjoying reading the ranting here: https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/microsoft-flight-simulator/user-reviews, is sad but funny at the same time 😅. So let me summarize most of the negative comments : 1- boring, they thought is an arcade, it turns out is a sim not game. 2- Ranting about the installation problem. Face flap 👀

The 'active pause' feature does not halt the elevator trim during altitude-set in the autopilot. At least in the Cessna 170. You can watch the trim wheel moving while paused. Not very good if large corrections built up during your "break" . Update: There are unassigned (not in keyboard) commands which operate a bit differently. I put them on my flightstick just for test. They are: 1. 'Set Pause On' 2. 'Set pause Off. They appear to halt autopilot activity. We'll see... Dave

  19. 1. Partner with Google Earth to get global scenery implemented. This needs to happen for P3D and XPlane 'Immediately'. Microsoft has a history of upping the game with moving the franchise forward causing other competition to step up their game. Without global scenery at this point any competition is out the game. 2. Leminar Research, Lockheed, and others needs to understand understand the community needs competition. Simmers need somewhere to go should Microsoft get difficult as they've done in the past. With FS2020 they hold too much power over us now with the global scenery. Satya Nadella is a great CEO and visionary which is why we have FS2020 now. Steve Ba…

Hello! I'm very much new to simming so my questions may be absolutely absurd, and it's possible I've just not read enough into this particular topic. Apologies in advance if it's a bit cringe-worthy! So, I set a flight route - Glasgow to Donegal in my Cessna 152. Beautiful route, for what it's worth. I left some of the in-game navigational aids on, whilst also getting information from ATC about what heading to take: https://imgur.com/a/hvuyA2U As you can see, the marker is nothing like the heading i'm supposed tobe taking according to ATC. If that is the case, what exactly do these markers relate to if not my heading? If flying in real-life, I assume I wo…

  21. Please bear with me... To get my cockpit camera just as like it... I have changed the default zoom and height in the options (both to 65). This improves my view out, but doesn't let me see as much of the instruments as I'd like. So I've set up a custom view (alt 0) which is a slightly looking down variation of this default wide cockpit view. This is the just how I want it view, that I want to be my main view. So, I jump to it pressing alt-0. All good, and I'm one happy camper. However. I am also using the quickviews as required (ctl-arrow). When I release the quickview, I would expect to return to the custom view, but am instead returned to another v…

  22. Hey guys, I'm sure a lot of you use sims to keep current on your IRL skills, and if you're like me you had enormous hopes that FS 2020 would improve on the legacy FS and X-plane flight dynamics which are not very accurate in many areas of the flight envelope. FS2020 looks gorgeous but as someone who really needs fidelity to the real thing, their physics modeling of aerodynamic forces on light piston singles is a letdown after so much anticipation. I have not flown a 748 so I can't compare that to IRL but I am a CFI and hold an ATP and have sat in a 172 and 152 for a few thousand hours over 20 years and all I can say is that I am disappointed in FS2020's inaccurate fl…

  24. It doesn't appear to be all rivers, but at least the Missouri River near St. Louis appears to be elevated above the terrain about 300 or more feet, creating a very weird look. I am wondering f it is a setting or my graphics card driver. If some one wouldn't mind looking...if you go to KSUS (Spirit of St. Louis Airport), just to the north and west is the Missouri River, you can see that the river is crazy high...its like this from where the Missouri meets the Mississippi River north of St. Louis at least all the way west past Jefferson City. Has anybody else seen something like this and been able to correct it with a setting or something. I updated my drivers to the latest…
