Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I've been having a look round the various screens, but I cannot find where the current version I have installed is shown. Can anyone point me in the right direction Thanks

So much agreed that the new simulator is tremendous as far as lighting, scenery, sounds etc etc etc ... Can someone confirm that FSUIPC works to save flights in the air or ground? The spawning of the simulator is pretty good, and am now getting used to setting up the GA planes from c+d all the time, but sometimes I may want to save a scenario in the air etc for time and or training purposes. The game save option is buggy; can fsuipc aid in this now?

I wonder if someone might answer a question for me: What is the purpose of announcing products that are in development months and even years before they are ready? This has happened literally hundreds of times with several announcements and "pre-announcements" being made every day. They are invariably followed by dozens of posts applauding the announcement as if it were, in itself, an accomplishment. Set Launch Options Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties. Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button. I still have the same problem keeping the plane on the runway even with adjusting the sensibility several times and trying the x52, honeycomb, xbox controller, all separately. Does anyone have an idea of what to do? Thanks Bernd

So as I get to know the new sim better, I thought I'd save a couple of flights for later repeats. But to my surprise, now the flights are aircraft specific. I don't want to save similar flights that are aircraft specific. Is there a way to save a flight that I can use with any aircraft ?

Guys anyone knows a trick to make the CPU load terrain further ? i am locked 40 FPS and everything is smooth its just the terrain loading to more finset level very close to the airplane. I tried even locking at 25 FPS and still the same. I got terrain load up to 200. Any possibility that external FPS limits choking the CPU ?

I have installed the FS 2020 on a comuter that doese not run it due to not meeting the minimum requirements. Now I want to re- install it on a new computer with the new requirements. Can I use the porduct code again for the new installation? Or do I have to buy simply a new simulator? Can someone help me? Herman Meyer

How do I lower the brightness of the screens in the TBM?

This radial flickering image appeared in the Welcome screen and doesn't go away despite a reboot. I don't recall making any changes to anything but it appeared this morning right out of the blue. What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

When i load a saved flight all is well except that my flight plan is no longer loaded into the Garmin 530 (flying C172). Any idea how to get my plan loaded back in or is this a fun feature? Thanks Andrew 🙂

Hey simmers, does anybody can advice a good alternative for the foreflight app on IPAD ? It is great, I love it but for a casual simmer like me it is quite expensive I heard about FLTplan Go, but I live in Belgium and the app is not available on the european store even If i mainly fly in US and Canada 😞 What I love about FF is the moving map and the ability to have all charts directly from the app Thanks

I do a lot of landmark bush flying. No compass, no GPS, just Bing maps and what I see in FS2020. This works really well 99% of the time using water bodies, roads, cities, settlements, shapes of fields/forests and so on. I noticed though that Bing maps and FS2020 does not match colors of fields sometimes. See the two images with typical orientation lines marked. In FS2020 the two fields are autumn-like brownish and in Bing maps they are green. I always thought FS2020 feeds images directly from Bing. Can anyone make sense of that? This has sent me off course two times now because in North England fields are your only friend :) Flight Simulator Bing Maps

So, I decided to try out night flying. Man did I have some issues. First was finding how to illuminate the dash, took me forever to find it. That was only the second time I started dark which was interesting because it was an imported flight plan from Little NavMap and I was able to select a parking spot without it resetting the entire flight plan. It was SO dark once I took off. I ended up cutting off the lamps around the room so I could see. I felt totally blind, at least until the moon started rising. Oh and the moon! OMG it looked amazing, so red when it first popped up. The atmospherics in this sim are astounding! I used ATC in full this go round as well. Vectored me…

I've always piqued an interest with flying, whether that is virtually or in real life. Have tried my hand at micro light flying although found the turbulence was no good for my stomach - similar to racing cars actually with the insane G-Forces found at the track Always found it far easier to find a virtual racing game I can settle into, Gran Turismo Sport being my choice at this present moment. So mine was working perfectly. Especially after the Radeon update. Had support for 3 monitors and it was running great. The mandatory update ruined it all. How do I get my money back?

Does anyone know? I see some people extracting landmarks from Google maps and inserting them in msfs2020 scenery, so does that mean Bing is more basic?

Is there a way to set an aircraft’s default POV at startup so that the cockpit is zoomed in or out a certain amount? In the aircraft .cfg or equivalent perhaps? Thanks, Steve
