Hi need some help I have previously been using the ngx in vr I was able to click on the fmc and it would pop up as a 2d panel I was then able to move the panel where I wanted it and program the fmc this way, I have since done a reinstall of p3d and the ngx and now when I click on th fmc it pops up as a 2d panel but it looks out of proportion and I can’t drag it anywhere and none of the click spots work, I can’t remember in the past if I had to make any adjustments anywhere for the fmc to work in vr, I really would like to use the fmc in vr and would really appreciate any help on getting this to work. Thank you,Jim

When I tried to use FlyInside, I learned about the Leap Motion, to use simply my fingers for switching knobs. Well that's theory. Until now I didn't got it working as I expected. I ordered a Leap Moption Controler and also an expansive piece of plastic, called "Leap Motion VR Developer Mount for VR Headset" Unfortunately this adapter for the controller ist curved, while the front of the Rift S is not. So using this adapter seems not to work. Trying to fix the Leap Motion Controler somehow to my Oculus Rift S never worked out, as the backside of the controller is made of some "rubber". So no tape or other glue didn't last long on that strange surface and th…

I see no mouse in P3DV4.5 with the Rift S (installed it today), only a moving white circle. Am I supposed to click with that? It only moves with head moves. And does nothing when I click my mouse.

For one reason and another I haven't used DCS for several weeks. When I left it, it was performing beautifully in VR. (Rift S) On returning to it I got the old 'shimmering wing leading edges and watery looking windshield/canopy in my Mustang. In the past it would be because I'd forgotten to start the OTT (ASW Off as default and in the DCS profile). I've tried changing ASW to Auto and 45fps neither of which make any difference. Are you keeping up? In the meantime I updated W10 Pro to v1909. a couple of niggles but not too much drama. Also during that time there were numerous DCS updates which I religiously applied. Now the question. Could either of these events h…

I spent the weekend trying dozens of demos/games of all types with my new delivered HP Reverb. MY observations and views: Crazy, ridiculous 4 programs are needed to run 1 game. Things are somewhat glitchy but mostly work ok. Wires are kind of annoying; not sure weighted pack would be better? More design thought for glasses wearers is needed. The voice activated ‘flashlight’ feature is a god send. It’s what you think it is, VR is quirky 3D with head tracking and odd touching. The constant ‘looking through binoculars’ FOV is immersion detracting. Uncanny valley and overall obvious fake-ness is 10x worse in VR. A rol…

Hi, I have a question about communication in virtual networks eg. Vatsim and Co. here communicate exclusively in English, which keeps many avid pilots from joining these communities because they do not speak the language and feel insecure. The standard phrases are often not enough and fail already at the gate. It is possible with the help of an automatic translator software with selection of the language to be translated to eliminate this language barrier. The communication between tower and pilot could be transmitted in speech as well as in text in the simulator. Always good flight Gerd

Can anyone tell me if the HP Reverb works OK with USB 3.1 ports on a motherboard. The reason I ask is that on the Oculus Rift S forms there are numerous posts saying that the Rift S doues not work with USB 3.1 and you should use an addon PCIe USB 3.0 card. So I wondered if that was the case with the Reverb.

until FS2020 have VR build in this is something to check out next year too: https://www.valianteffortgame.com/ unlike Fs2020 this is World War II related tho, but we VR addicts know such a simulation is perfect for VR, the ultimate immersion. Greetings

I started simming with FS98. At that time I really just flew the Lear Jet and flew IFR for navigation. Help me out, correct me where Im wrong. When FS2000 came out and we got our first GPS I believe. At that point I know we had POI not sure about roads and rivers. So as best I can remember VFR was still not easy to do until FS2002. I know we had a better ground reference then. City areas could be seen, roads, rivers etc were there but shorelines and Lakes were still not accurately defined in great detail. Dont think FSX was much of an improvement in the shorelines and lakes area. As best I can remember Misty Fjord, Tongass and Glacier were some of the addons that star…

Hey Guys, I have one problem which is really anoying and want to find out if any other user has it too. Once it becomes dark in P3D or is not fully bright day, I have problems to bring up the ATC window or the GSX window. No problem in daylight conditions, but as soon the sun sets I need several attempts or even need to switch views, to bring it up. I use chaseplane for views, so it might be a contributing factor. Anyone else seeing this?

Seems like this might be a good contender for a Vr "Killer App" https://www.roadtovr.com/half-life-alyx-trailer-views-mainstream-gaming-spotlight/?fbclid=IwAR25vWT_JmOrV6iQRg5_bNdtb7UxteQa0K5guzOvEcnBjiiL0VhChgD8bBM

Hoping to draw some opinions on setting up a vr rig strictly for sims- cars, heli’s and airplanes. Because of that use, especially for the heli stuff, I’ve decided that I want a very wide fov, and evidently pimax is really the only option. Looking at the 5k+. I know there are some downsides to going with pimax, and that it would require pretty much the best desktop pc you could put together. But is this a good time? On the hardware side of things, will there be any big improvements coming up in the next year, like newer graphics cards, other pc improvements, or better pimax models supposed to get introduced? Is the new MS sim going to drive the hardware manufacturers…

Oculus Link is an update available now for Oculus Quest that allows you to play full PC VR games from Oculus and Steam VR on your Oculus Quest. It remains an open question as to whether this option will provide acceptable performance for simming........

I have been VR flying all weekend (what day is it?) with Flyinside, Aerofly FS 2, and DCS world. At first I thought I might only fly VR for VFR and use my cockpit build for IFR, but IFR in VR is actually better! So I will be moving my yoke, rudder pedals, and throttle quadrant over to my VR setup today. I will wait for MSFT to release a VR version for MSFT Flight Simulator 2020. Adios cockpit builders...it's been fun. 🙂

Quick curiosity vid by the VR flight sim guy for anyone wondering how the Reverb depicts the sim. As always, through the lens vids rarely convey the true quality, but this one is ok-ish if one ignores the tendency towards blurry edges.
