PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

hi I have the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II but when I taxi for a bit the plane is only just moveing even on full power dose anyone know how to fix it thanks

Thank you for all the good suggestions I received when I experienced problems in my 747 simulator! Special thank´s to John Price! I have performed 7 flights yesterday and today without any problems. The weather software AS16 was set to max wind turbulence, max wind shear, max wind updraft and downdraft. When I lower these values, my 747 followed the route form gate to gate. I have also flown the Tutorial without any interference. It is uninteresting to fly without disturbance. Maybe I later configure my AS16 to a higher level of turbulence again.

Hello. I know there are several threads concerning VAS usage. I also know PMDG rather staunchly asserts there is no VAS leakage with the 747. However, I thought I would start a new thread and toss in what I have discovered. I tried four times to fly from KABQ to LEST. All four attempts failed in an OOM at about three hours into the flight. I finally took the 777 and successfully completed the 10-hour flight. I got to thinking about the major differences between the 74 and the 77 and wondering why, despite PMDG's assertions to the contrary, the 74 seemed to be leaking memory. During my second flight, this happens. The 747 changes course for no reason. I disconnect A/P and steer it in to the right heading, connect A/P and again the 747 follow my flightplan input in FMC.

Anyone know how you go about making a custom control column checklist?

In the real 747-400, if you are in HDG mode, then switch to LNAV mode and your current waypoint is "Vectors", pressing the heading select knob in will result in the removal of the "vectors" waypoint and it will automatically turn the aircraft to the next waypoint on the list after vectors - the aircraft will NOT go to the heading selected in the HDG window. This is a bit of an unusual feature but it is there on the real aircraft and it reduces the number of FMC inputs you have to make with the mouse. Any chance of having this implemented in the PMDG? I have tried it but it doesn't work. It's modeled in the Aerowinx software and full motion sims.

Hi I saved a flight at Gate 58 at flytampa yssy as the default situation in p3d v4. When I launch the sim, it goes blank and it is running minimised, can't open up the window. Task manager shows p3d running, but not able to go full screen. Has anyone had this happen ?.

I own FSX:SE I have PMDG 74v3,777,737ngx, and other add on planes and sceneries. 747 for me is by far the most heavy on performance. I have MSI GE72MVR laptop with Windows 10 64 bit, Nvidia 1070, 16GB RAM, Intel I7700HQ, 1TB +256SD. FSX is installed onto the hard rive. I have micro stutters every time I fly the plane. But in General, does FSX: SE runs poor and lags even on high end rigs? IS it that time to switch to P3D? My settings are not even set to Ultra. Scenery and weather are set to medium. Thank you

I noticed that after the latest update the captain's PFD does not pop out like it used to with a mouse click. Actually there is no mouse clickable area on it. All the rest ND and FO's ND & PFD do pop out. Not that I use it ever but just felt like reporting it. P3D v3

PMDG 747 Queen fighting with heavy turbulence.

I'm really admiring the attention to detail on this old girl.... After turning the seatbelts to 'On' during flight I notice the 'PA in progress' lights up on the PA system a few seconds later. Presumably that will be my virtual flight attendant telling my virtual passengers to return to their seats! Love it! Searching around for all these nice little details is a great way to pass the time on those long flights

Hi! When I perform a take takeoff, I nearly reach Vr. speed. Then when I get into the air, the speed decreases to Stall speed. And yes, I hit the ground a little bit to hard. Take a look at the attached photos from this particular flight.

Hi! I use flex.temp 58 in the tutorial #1. If I use flex.temp 65 , will the aircraft use more or less power at T/O? I believe that if I use a higher assumed temp my 747 will use less power. I do not know if I get it right or wrong.

Hi! I have some minor problem with my A/P. When I activate A/P at 10000 ft it follow my flightplan but only 2 - 5 way point then it starts to descend fast and change heading. My flightplan and FD shows accurate value. Some idea about what I do wrong?

Hello, the plane from time to time show a warning for engine 4 oil temp, if I don't cut off the fuel, the engine 4 not only will fail but also cause the engine 3 temp problem, and then 2, 1. So I cut off the fuel 4, and I will at least have 3 engine to land. But the engine 4 has totally failed. This problem usually happens just after TOD after long haul cruise, even though I don't activate any service based nor random failure function in FMC. So what causes this happen? And does the aircraft track my maintenance record such as fluid quantity only when I active the service based failure?

Hi, just to know, would it be very hard for PMDG to implement an option that changes the 744 lights from dynamic to the standard non dynamic? In big airports at night with clouds I get a slideshow... Thanks.

I just saw a video tutorial of cold and dark start of PMDG 747. The guy who explains the startup is able to move sideways through the cockpit. I don`t think he has something like ezdok as this is not mentionted in the comments under the video. Is this possible in the standard pmdg 747 v3 ? Or are there still addons neccesary for this "camera position" You can see the action in: (5:27)
