Any practical advice appreciated.

Im pretty new around here and I hope my question will not sound too dumb. 

I recently had a 747 v3 and I handle it as best as I can but I have an issue with my FMC i configured it normally with my route, departure airport arrival airport runways ... but my aircraft at one stage let say I'm level FL15 at waypoint A , and need to descend level FL10 at waypoint, well my aircraft will stay stuck at level FL15 but the speeds chance lets say i'm 250 at WP A and asked for 220 at WP B it will change.

I dont know what I configured incorrectly.

If you guys have any idea dont hesitate to let me know.

After a break of a few months, I decided to fly it again. However, when I did my flight plan on Simbrief , I was informed I would have to reduce the load due to weight restrictions.

I went ahead and imported that plan into P3D v5.4. When I set up the plane and loaded the flight plan, the FMC told me that I had insufficient fuel to complete the flight.

What could have happened to change the parameters to something which is obviously wrong?.

I cannot see anywhere to increase the fuel capacity.

IRL, this route was flown for years.

I am trying to get PMDG P3D version of B747-400 to work.

I downloaded and installed P3D V5 and restarted my computer. I then tried to install PMDG P3D version of B747-400 and it just comes up with a window asking ‘Search for App in the store’, if I select ‘Yes’ nothing is found and if I select ‘No’ then the installation exits. 

What am I doing wrong please?

The landing lights and taxi/turnoff lights do not illuminate on the runway/taxiway at all...

The Captains PFD is not selectable to pop out to a bigger display...

Anyone have any ideas how to fix those issues?

I've been reading the FCOM that comes with the 747 and also some others I found online, but none of them include an explaination of the automatic anti-ice, it's just mentioned as an option. On smartcockpit I found something on the automatic Ice protection system, something about the number of sensors that need to detect ice in order to get the NAI and WAI to turn on. 3 detectors for the NAI, 10 for the WAI.

I'd like to know more, like if I'll get the WAI and NAI green indications on the EICAS when it automatically turns on. I'm asking because when I took of from UNNT, Novosibirsk a couple of hours ago I didn't get any indication at all. The weather was definitely what one would call Icing condition:

How do I know if the Automatic NAI kicked in? Is there some sort of feedback? If so, why didn't I get any on my takeoff and climbout through the soup? I've been sitting for about an hour at the cargo ramp before taking off and the weather was like that all along. Manually forcing the NAI to on gave me some warnings on the EICAS, I guess due to the engines sitting at idle thus making the duct pressure too low for it to work. I flipped it back to auto and took off without any problems.

I've seen someone get an Ice Detected warning in another topic, but I think he had manual anti-ice with detectors. It means that the simulated aircraft can recognise icing conditions then.

Since the installation of the PMDG 747-8 and the 747-400 V3 updates, all my 747-400 V3 PAX versions, 747-400, -400D and -400M, have a big Payload issue.

I also posted this issue on Facebook (Will leave al link so you can see the screenshot) but without success.

Before I open a Ticket at PMDGs website, I`m gonna ask about a possible solution here. 

In a nutshell, the aircrafts Payload is all over the place. It`s insanely high. 

Here are the numbers:

GW: 12755.1 tons

ZFW: 12581.5 tons

Load Level: 18423.9%

747-8, neither version is affected. They both work. Also the 747-400 Freighter versions, no problems there. Just the PAX versions have this issue.

I got this warning on the EICAS on 2 occasions just after take-off. It's really weird that such a warning would appear during the initial stages of the flight.

Both flights were done on heavy payloads with GW of around 380000kg. Flights with lower weights are uneventful and the warning does not appear.

The warning that stays during cruise and doesn't go away. I'll report back during landing if it clears itself.

Any ideas?

It would seem as if the release signal from GSX is not being interpreted correctly by the 747.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a work-around?

(Brakes are released, chocks are away and there is no failure registered).

I have not altered any settings

I have tried a re install but the sounds are still not active.

Can any member help me please?

I updated my 744 with the PMDG operations center. Once I startup a flight with the 744, it gives me this message: initialization of licence failed PMDG

I just installed the 747 and when I tried to fly first flight I realized the engine sound it's the same for the rest of the flight. Like, I am increasing power, for take-off for example, the engine sound it's the same, no hearing of „increasing power”, just the idle sound of the engine, Same sort of problem it's happening in outside view, no increasing or decreasing power sound, I can hear the bleed sound, warnings sound etc.

I hadn''t pay attention at  the start up and shut down procedure, I mean if the specific sound of the specific procedure is correct. I dunno what's happening, same sound problem occured while using the freighter version of the 747.

I've seen this issue being reported previously, but only on P3D. Sorry if this is a redundant post, I did not find a matching response though for FSX. So here is my problem:

I've been running QOTS II with the 744 and 748 on FSX and Win10 all the time without problems. Now today all of a sudden,  they do not load properly anymore. No matter whether I load a saved flight, or create a new flight, or just pick the aircraft and launch it on an airport, always the same happens: when the scenario is loaded, I sit in a dead cockpit, all dark and black, nothing can be clicked. Engines are running. In the outside view there is no gear visible.

I know the situation that the panels don't load just from saved flights, that for whatever reason seem to get corrupted over time. But I never saw this happen at startup of a fresh new flight.

I did not change anything lately, latest I did was installing FS2Crew weeks ago, but it did run properly all the time with that. Also tried to deactivate FS2Crew, this had no effect.

Any solutions available for this issue?

As a side remark: Also my ops center behaves strange, it frequently tells me about livery updates, but when I ask to show them, it never shows anything. Did not care about that too much, however, maybe another indicator what might go wrong here?
