PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

When reacting to ATC speed restrictions in the climb, is it preferable to input the target speed on the VNAV climb page or use MCP speed intervention? I find it hard to edit the FMC quickly since you have to enter an altitude as well as the speed you wish to climb. So I'm wondering if speed intervention would be better. Any advice on the pros and cons of each method?

Hi, when I install the 747 the installer creates a raaspro folder inside my P3Dv4 and registers the raaspro.dll That is not funny, because it installs the 32bit version of RAASPRO.dll (2.6.14.3), and I get a CTD. WIth deleting of the entry in dll.xml al is fine. Same for 777

Typical route for me EKCH - KMIA About 1/2 way through I get steady rhythmic "stutters" where the whole sims lags and lurches using the latest version. Things are okay in the first hours.

I've had two flights recently with the Queen that have failed to pause at the Top of Descent even with that option selected in the FMC. Both flights continued until they ran out of fuel. Anyone else have this happen? Prepar3d 4 by the way...

Hey guys, Quick question about the aft cargo heat, what temp is it supposed to maintain? I thought with the last QOS it was around 60-65F or whatever the C equivalent was. With QOS II, I can't seem to warm up the aft cargo hold. I have packs on, aft heat on. Am I missing something? There doesn't appear to be a magenta thermostat setting in the aft cargo deck on the ECS page. Can anyone else confirm aft cargo heat working or not? Don't want Fido to freeze his paws off. BTW I checked the FCOM but couldn't find the right info there either. Thanks TJ

Took a flight with the latest update to the 747 made saves with proatc as usual .Resumed flight only to find panels are dead .Any one else experienced this. Tested with a normal save and all was good. Will try again may have been a temporary glitch. Never had issues before with proatc save before panel state has always loaded fine.

Hello, having just purchased QOSII from PMDG a few months ago, and recently transitioned to P3D V4.0, I'm wondering if I am authorized to sell my FSX version of 747-400 QOS II to another person? I looked over the EULA and I did not see anything preventing resale of my software and license. I am going to be purchasing the P3D V4.0 version of the 747-400. Obviously, I will de-activate my copy prior to selling the software. In any case, I am not looking to violate any terms of the license agreement.

good day to you all, since I started flying with the QOTSII on IVAO there has been this issue where in the sim the frequency might be set to eg. 119.6 (EHAM_W_TWR) but it wil jump back in IVAP to, and this frequency is always the same, 136.970. This is according to Flight Data Recorder from FSUIPC. I have gone the whole flight on radios in 122.8, and got messages too on that frequency, and still FSUIPC picks it up as 136.970. This causes that i miss some clearances because randomly my radios to change to a non existing channel Any ideas on what this problem could be? Thank you

HI ALL. i seem to be having problems with my 747 and not finding the route and wondering if anyone out thee could help me every time i try to load the route in the fmc it just doesn't work. it looks like it comes up in the legs page but it doesnt want to find the next way point or the purple line on the screen on front of me and when i take of there is no light path to follow. i have tried with both PFPX and simbrief and i have tried to put the flight plan in to 2 different flight plan locations but nothing is working and is really frustrating as sometimes it even says there is no routes found aswell. i cant fly anywhere after paying over £100 quid for a…

Ever since the last two updates, my 747 has been virtually unflyabe. Everything seems to be working right at take off but seconds later its struggles to climb. With auto pilot, VNAV and LNAV enabled, the aircraft can barely get to 100fpm, then soon after begins a very slow nose dive to the ground and loses power badly. I've never seen anything like this. Before the last update, I was able to somehow get out of it and continue a smooth flight, but the last update, I cannot get this bird to maintain a steady climb with LNAV and VNAV enabled..Had to quit the sim. Anyone else having this problem?

As i am trying to configure my Saitek Switch Panel (with LUA scripts), i meet some issues with landing gears. - When I send these values : ipc.control(70400, 0) or ipc.writeUB(0x65D8, 0) --> (GEAR UP) --> GEARS won't move ipc.control(70400, 2) or ipc.writeUB(0x65D8, 2) --> (GEAR DOWN) --> GEARS won't move Why ? Values are from officials PdF ... - How can i get the different gears status ? if one of won't retract, its light should be red, and not green ... I didn't found a value for this .. Hi chaps I'm not one to pick holes in PMDG aircraft as they are superb and I'm loving the QOTS II at the mo - but I just noticed that the standby ASI (analogue) has no plastic bugs for setting speed references as backup/aide memoire. Has this simply not been modelled or am I missing something in the plethora of options in the FMS menu?

Ever since getting the PMDG 747v3, I have noticed this. It's not specific to P3Dv4, as it happened in v3 as well. Anyways, after turning on the packs and establishing AC, I set the Pass Temp. Controller to set a Master temp. of approximately 71-72F and it works beautifully on the ground as soon as turning on the packs after APU start. After a few hours in cruise, I will pull up the ECS Page, and notice that the master temp. command and also the ambient temp. is now 75F, without having touched the controller. Now, this only happens with the passenger cabins and controller. I can "reset" it by turning the Pass. Temp. Controller by 3-4 notches and then retur…

Hi all I just purchased, downloaded and installed the PMDG 747 V3 while my wife was out. Shhh, don't tell her, please! Upon opening the PMDG Operations Centre (hey, I'm Aussie so I'm gonna spell it the RIGHT way!) I noticed that in the expansions list of the V3, there is the 747-8 but no option to download or purchase it. Is it still in development? Hi, I've been searching through all the manuals and I can't find all the stats for all the variants, things like weights, etc. Can anyone point me in the direction? I saw a YT where someone said it was in section 10-xx on the 777 but in the 747 chapter 10 I see three different numbers, page L-10.2 I see 109, 405, and 570.. what do these numbers mean? Thanks.

I downloaded the micro update last night, I fired up p3dv4 and I noticed that the beacon lights do not work. I only see the ground spalsh effect on the ground. Any one else experiencing this? Eric Moser

Ever since I started using the 747 in P3D v4 I have been having an issue with the autopilot disconnecting during the approach and sometimes during the climb. I have read posts from other users who had similar issues and have tried amending the null zones, recalibrating as suggested, etc but to-no-avail. In addition to disconnecting it is also impossible to lock onto LOC or ILS during the short intervals the autopilot is engaged before it switches itself off. Have also calibrated the Yoke, Throttle and Pedals in FSUIPC and they work beautifully. Have never experienced this issue before on any of the previous P3D and FSX platforms and basically I have run out of ideas on…
