I am having numerous problems with the PMDG 747 for P3D V4 autopilot. First was the problem of the autopilot tripping out continuously. I solved this by widening the null zone on my CH Products yoke axes beyond the default via the Prepar3d controls calibration (though I've never had this problem with any other other simulator or any other PMDG product but the controller is getting long in the tooth). My next problem is the autopilot not following the FMC flight plan. I set up a flight from KJFK to KSFO on the FMC. Hi I am not seeing any lights of the PMDG 747 being thrown on the ground for P3D V4 even with Dynamic lighting on. The P3D v4 Carenado Bonaza's light is working ok. Seems like a year for new sims. FSW, Laminar, LM, and Flyinside. It's PMDG's decision to decide which to go, or not go, with? They are all 64 bit, some are capable of multi core usage. New head mounted displays are coming soon! But VR is the future IMHO. It's possible a new age of flight sims are coming to us free of VAS problems etc. Of course some will make it a bit harder for developers like PMDG to integrate their aircraft. Flyinside's new upcoming simulator should not be confused with what they have now, it's a whole NEW sim! Not sure of any discussions between PMDG and other sim developers however, I am able to use PMDG products well enough to make fligh…

Hello, I know this has been discussed already, but I never saw a solution for this. So is there any way I can get rid of it? I also used to had it on the outside, but that is now gone with the dynamic lights. The same issue also applies for the 777 and the NGX. I have FXAA disabled, AA is 4xMSAA and I have a Full HD monitor with a GTX1070. Thanks for your help.

Hi all, I had to format my computer and wipe everything off. I have since reinstalled everything and just reinstalled the PMDG 747, When i go to select the aircraft i first notice the engines don't look right, Then when i click fly now the aircraft displays are all black and the yoke is turned to the left. I can't click anything nor does any of the controls work. I did not get a reactivation window to put my licence key in either. I have looked around for help before posting this and a lot of people said run the simconnect files located within the FSX:SE folder. I have tried this and installed all of them but still don't get any option to put my serial in. …

Hi there, first of all, congrats to PMDG to this aircraft - works very well, is a real beauty and at least with my setup, needs much less VAS then the 777 or the FSL 320. I have one problem though - I have a hard time engaging the Autopilot, say after Takeoff in about 400-1000 ft with VNAV and LNAV. Even trimmed out and the Flight Guidance centered, it keeps popping out right after engaging. Anyone else have this effect? Could it be, that the joystick is too sensitive? Best regards Adrian

Hey captains, i've recently noticed that after the last patch of the QOTS II for FSX:SE the transponder is in TA/RA at the default cold and dark state. I've also looked around on YouTube and I saw that I'm not the only one. (Also in P3D v4 streams) My question is: is that supposed to be like that? Or it is a bug? Hello everyone, maybe someone can help me out here a little bit: I have recently flown a route form UTAK to LOWW with a Cargolux B744ER (LX-JCV livery). As usual, i put the panel state to 744-Long. Certain messages appeared on the Upper EICAS, which have not seen before on any other flight: 1. SATVOICE AVAIL (according to QRH, this means that SAT com has been reeastablished but how do i remove it from the EICAS now? It is written in white letters btw.) 2. I cannot get the landing lights to work using "ctrl+L." Switches do not move and lights do not appear in external model (spot view). Not a game-breaker but wondered if anyone else sees this? Thanks.

Hi all, first of all congratulations to PMDG, the 747 is truly one of the best addons I ever had! It worked perfectly in P3D V3, but I have a few issues in P3D V4. I wanted to do a flight out or EHAM with the KLM Livery, started the sim and loaded the panel state “short”. It loaded and worked fine for about one minute. Then the APU GEN1&2 became disconnected, although the APU was still running. The white AVAIL lights were also extinguished. It also didn’t provide bleed air. I turned it off and on again, but same thing. Worked for one minute and then I got the same errors. Any clues about that? Another thing that happened, about 5-6h into the flight (wit…

Im looking in my operations center and its showing I have the 747 installed for v3 and v4 at the same time. It says also theres an update for both. So do I need to update both or just do the v4 version? Or is there a way to get the operation center to only see the v4 version?

Hi guys, I was only wondering why we do not have the same option in the 747 on terms of fuel loading. When I enter planned fuel in the 777, call a GSX fuel truck the fuel is getting steadily loaded. It adds to the immersion of the sim. However, when I try to do the same in the 747 I get N/A Manual Ground Ops notification. Does anyone know if PMDG has provided the same option of fuel loading in the 747 just as it is in the 777 or has it yet to be implemented? Hello, I have come across a problem at EHAM (Amsterdam airport). The CLEARANCE DELIVERY frequency is 121.97, when I try to tune the Captains Radio panel the decimal places go up in 25khz increments. I can only tune to 121.950 then 121.975. I cannot tune to 121.970. Is there a setting I can change to say, reduce the decimal display to 2 places i.e. 121.97. Hi, I know this is PMDG (so as real as it gets!) but I'm quite surprised of the time it takes to refuel the 747. I'm currently at YSSY with the -400 loading fuel for a 14h flight to Johannesburg and the time req. to load 156.1T (uplift fuel) is 1h43 + 7:30 to hook. IRL, is it so long? And second question, in this case, do the crew join the aircraft 2h before the departure or does the refueling start before the crew arrives on board? And it also means that the amount of fuel required for the flight is also blocked and requested at least 2-3h before the departure well before the actual amount of pax is confirmed (event though I know that airlines have st…

Hi everyone, Since completing the 747 update the other day i'm certain that the Virtual Cockpit now looks blurry, It also seems that the switches appear with jagged edges and overall it just doesn't seem as HD as it was before. I have all the settings turned up for the VC but it doesn't seem to change anything. Has anyone else noticed this or am i just going mad? haha. Thank you.

Dear all, I am finding there is a huge amounts of ground friction when taxiing the 747 in v4.. After landing with say 10 tonnes of fuel, the aircraft grinds to a halt if the thrust is on idle. It takes about 35-40 percent I feel to keep the aircraft moving along. Alex

Hey, After many hours of troubleshooting a nasty stutter I had, I finally figured out why. Basically, every time I ran my mouse over anything clickable, whether it be buttons, switches, MFDs, it would stutter. If I did it quickly, my FPS would drop down to sub-10. Then I realised, Rivatuner was the cause. Never had any problems with it before but this time, it was the culprit. Closed it down and stutters gone. For anyone unaware, RTSS is used for capping framerate. It's usually less performance intensive and more accurate than something like Nvidia Inspector but this time, it wasn't the best tool. I have been flying 747 in P3d v4 for the last week and have noticed that the flaps are not returning correctly. If you have flaps 10 and you push the button for flaps 5 the flaps seem to retract to flaps up however on the console and the flaps position they show as flaps 5 and then when you push your button again you hear the flaps going up but they are already in the up position on the wing. Not sure why this is happening as my switches are set to retracting incrementally. I can live with it but just wondering if PMDG are aware of it and if anyone else is having the same thing happen.

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the 747, which is absolutely fantastic by the way. First one of the panels to the left of the captain and right of the first officer have a hole in them at the corner towards the back of the panel, is this intended? On aircraft with the RESETTABLE SIREN option set to NO, pressing the master warning button on the glareshield will not stop the alarm – this goes for any master warning in fact, not just the autopilot. despite this it does stop the alarm with resettable siren set to NO. at least in case of autopilot disconnection. is it ok?
