PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello all, Should my 747 be illuminated by ground lights of the airport in V4? the lights of the 747 do illuminate the ground and buildings but not the other way around. thank you!

My 747 seems to sink into the ground when I spawn in. This happens at all airports. It also starts going faster and faster when spawning in and the parking brakes don't work. Here's a screenshot:

Hi all, Bought the PMDG 744V3 yesterday, installed it, everything seems okay in the sim, but when I go to start the operations center I've had a few issues. Firstly it said 'MSCVP100.dll' and 'MSCVR100.dll' are not available, so I downloaded those. Now it says 'PMDG Operations Center was unable to start (0xc000007b)'. A support ticket has been submitted on PMDG's system, but thought I'd check here in case anyone had similar issues. Operating system: 64 bit Windows 10 Thanks

Interested in any feedback on VR performance in P3D v4 with QOTS II. I tried Flyinside with P3D v3 and the NGX/777, and wasn't satisfied with the performance (not really usable). I spent a lot of hours using the native VR in v4 yesterday with my Rift DK2, and found that it was pleasing from a performance point of view as long as the aircraft was a decent performer. I'd be interested in any reports from people who've tried VR with QOTS II/P3D v4 hooked up to a decent graphic card (I'm using a GTX 970, but have a 1080 Ti coming in the post that I hope will improve my VR experience). Hi, When I was looking for any information, that B748 has taxi cameras, I found that it has taxi charts. Will that be also in PMDG's version? And finally, will it have taxi charts? Thank you

I used idle reverse when i heard the wheels touching down, auto-brake lvl 2 and so far i haven't notice it on the other aircrafts since it doesn't happen every time. Hi guys, when loading the Queen into the free flight screen the aircraft skin textures are missing from the leading edge wing root to the nose. It happens no matter which 747 aircraft I load to the free flight screen... all the same. Once I load into the cockpit and select an outside view the aircraft is fine with all textures loaded. I have checked the aircraft.cfg file for the correct texture folder etc. looks ok, no sure what to do next? Hi I've just updated my control centre and seen that p3dv4 is on there I've redownloaded the 747 package again but when I try to install it into v4 I only get the options to remove modify and repair Do I need to remove the 747 from p3dv3 first so I can get the path for v4 or how do i install it into v4 Thanks

Hi guys, I was setting up for a long haul Santiago-Sydney and after entering 168,000 Kg I received an eicas message "fuel stab xfr" meaning fuel will not transfer from the stab tank to the cwt. With no failures selected and fuel pumps on and all systems serviced I can't understand why I'm getting this message. I completed the flight without using the fuel in the stab tank. Regards Jeff

For this version of the 747, there is a procedure NOT covered in detail in any of the manuals. The procedure I'm referring to has to do with landing the 747 with the autopilot and autothrottle disconnected, and none of the manuals DO NOT make reference as to the procedure of when to reduce power to idle and WHEN to initiate the flare. This is the procedure used by pilots in most all landings, and I find it hard to understand why that procedure is not covered in ANY of the manuals. Hello, I'm having a strange issue with the 747. Whenever I'm stationary on the ground, the plane is wobbling around. I've played with the scenery settings but they don't seem to change anything. Here's a video which shows the problem: I guess this issue is being generated by FSX and not PMDG? Does this problem also appears in P3D?

Based on the message I saw in Ops Center, it implies that I can install the 747 into my new P3Dv4. Do I have to uninstall the 747 from P3Dv3 first? When I tried to use the installer, I only got options to modify, repair or remove the 747 from the current P3Dv3 installation. I don't see how to modify the installation path...am I missing something here? Thanks.

Loading a flightplan via PFPX, yet I get this message occasionally at some Add-on Airports, and as a result do not get the Take-Off Ref speeds, nor do I see any FLs in the Legs Pages. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, so can anyone assist, kindly, and put me right?

Hi, please apologize this possibly very often asked question ! I'm interested to hear what is the common practice when hand landing the 747-400 as you have to do e.g. at St. Maarten (TNCM) using auto throttle or not. My experience as PC pilot is of course that it can be very convenient because you get rid of some workload. But I want to know when it is recommended to do so or are there some issues maybe because safety is affected to be advised manually control throttle settings. Hello I'm just curious if there are any repaints of the new PMDG 747 in a military grey like color scheme or unmarked white plane without the Boeing logo. I want to simulate doing a secret test flight or something similar and want a good livery to fit the flight. Thanks

Late last night, flying a BA variant 747-400, EGCC(Manchester)-FSIA(Seychelles)all lined up to land at Aerosoft's Seychelles X, AS2016 weather, runway visible, all looking good, hand-fling approach, 154kts, flaps 30, then all of a sudden at 500ft just before the threshold, the whole scenery starts spinning in an uncontrollable fashion, and there was no way to stop it. Aircraft was by now on the deck and still the whole airport scenery was spinning clockwise. Had to exit the flight. Has anyone ever experienced this weird behaviour before? Has never ever before happened to me.

I'm having an issue with my cockpit night lighting, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is a bug. My captains FMC keyboard does not stay backlit, all other pedestal lights are on and work fine, including FO FMC, however the captain's one is dark. Additionally, this is only in the VC, the lights appear on the 2D popup. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi all, i am really hoping that pmdg make the decision to make it for x plane aswell. cause right now the flight dynamics (5 procent of the actual airplane) is such a shame. all things are simulated but the flight dynamic isnit fully 100 procent of the real plane because of FSX . X plane could make that more possible. has anyone heard if pmdg will make this plane come to x plane aswell?

I can't get the internal FSX ATC anymore, either using the autotune function when the ATC window opens or putting the frequency in the pedestal radio. I know its fairly basic AT but its nice to have some sort of interaction or hear other aircraft. Am I missing something obvious in getting it working or is it not an option in the new PMDG?

I don't normally "plug" things like this but these series of videos that this KLM / Martinair Cargo 747 skipper is posting are phenomenal. I wish my airline would allow us to do similar things (video - social media posts from the / of the flightdeck are prohibited) - but they don't! To top it all off, he hand flies most of his approaches from a decent altitude and the same can be said for the departure. This part is interesting to me because going in to or out of busy terminal environments, it really does load up the PNF (pilot not flying). Energy management, radios, MCP adjustments to name a few really load up the PNF. Anyways - cool videos none the less
