PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hi Guys, Just wondering why the fuel crossfeed valves don't turn amber when in transit & white when close when performing the >FUEL TANK/ENG procedure. [MOD: Please do not link to bootlegged videos. Hi. I have a problem with this aircarft. Fmc freezes when the plane is flying. Without apparent explanation, pressing any button on the fmc freezes and does not allow selecting anything. The rest in the VC works normally. Please, can you help me? I use FSX

When I was having problems with setting up the throttles for the 747 with FSUIPC, I was advised to assign with P3D's default assignment and callibrate with FSUIPC, which I did. However, when I want to fly another aircraft, I need another throttle handle configuration, but when I create a different profile in FSUIPC, with a different configuration, the default assignments are still there and are messing with the setup through FSUIPC. How do I turn off the default assignment for every other aircraft except the 747?

Good afternoon, So, I have finally decided to post up a video of the PMDG QOTS II. My admiration for the flight dynamics just will not end. Also, the design, both internal and external are just to die for! Just a few hours ago I decided to take a closer look outside and noticed effect of the exhaust system in action. Phenomenal!!! The documentation suggests that the 747 v3 uses about 800mb of VAS. Using FSUIPC's VAS counter, I can load up a default flight using either the Trike or Cessna as an example and make a note of the VAS counter. This is using a default airport, say KLAX, no add on scenery enhancement. If I then load up the PMDG 747, the VAS counter shows that it is using approx 12-1500mb of VAS, well in excess of the 800mb expected. Just wondering if anyone else was having similar higher than expected VAS?

I have the following issue, when i change the sound device in the fmc from my headset to my normal speakers P3D crashes, if i do it the other way around everything is fine.. also when i do restart P3D it will be on the speakers so all good right, i wished because when i line up for take-off and the engines go full throttle i start hearing a weird crackling/clicking sound i did reinstall the sound drivers to see if that would fix it but it didn't. any clues? i will be trying to see if i can fix it myself in the meantime, oh yeah i forgot to say this crackling/clicking sound doesn't occour when everything gets pushed to the headset.

Has anyone chnaged to 381.89? I read at FSElite that they said it was supposed to have fixed VAS issues and leaks. Anyone have any thoughts on this or tested it? I'm still using 376.33 on a GTX980.

Alitalia Cargo has always had a special place in my heart as my Late Aunt worked for them out of KJFK for 35 years before losing her battle with cancer. I used to visit her there and got some memorable views of their fleet from her office window. (I was too young to own a camera back then, hehe). Anyway, Atlas leased this beauty to them and I just had to paint it. (She registered N409MC) I may also do a fictional green stripe with the "Cargo System" red insert too as I remember them being all over the ramp (mostly 747s and DC-10s, some DC-8s). I fly my 747 v3 on P3D and I've been experiencing a somewhat annoying event where if I use my hat switch to move my view around, it runs very slowly. But this has nothing to do with fps as I run at a constant 40 fps at default airports and 25 to 30 fps at addon airports and fps does not change when I try to move my head around. When I use the spacebar to move my view it is very nice and smooth, but not with the hat switch. So is there just an easy little fix in the settings menu or would it be a good idea to invest in chaseplane?

I'm sure I'll get flack for this because I've seen it before on a website or a readme text and can't find it but how do you get the NG FMS loaded on any of the 747 planes? Can anyone tell me what the default one is? Thanks. Matt

Dear friends, I'm almost new to PMDG jetliners but I nevertheless already purchased both the new 747 and the 737! I was never expecting such a change from other (even payware) aircrafts and that not only about system depth simulation, but in the very bare hand handling of them! Thank you for your hard work! My question is about the 2nd tutorial that is mentioned as upcoming in the 1st one (and unique so far). Would it be possible to know if and when will it be released? Hi guys - In the process of finialising my latest paint, and noticed that the 400ERF looks to have the gear hubs incorrectly mapped on the left 2 boggies and nose gear? Having trouble linking pictures - I can email better comparison shots to whoever wants them... Cheers.

Has anybody else had this same problem? I did a full auto-land, disengaged reverse thrusting, disconnected autopilot, started to raise the flaps and drop the speed brakes, and the steering goes crazy. It does not allow me to steer in the direction I want it to. It always tends to pull either right or left, and I have to fight it with full opposite rudder to go somewhat straight. I never use the rudder trim, so it is completely zeroed out. Cheers, Chris

Since FTX Orbx is having a May sale, can some of you tech savvy folks tell me if I add FTX Global Base + FTX Global Vector + FTX Open LC, will that be OK for my system. I run primarily aircraft add on's for PMDG 747 and 777 with FSX-SE, along with Active Sky 2016. Good day guys, I'm probably going to get a smack in the teeth for this but here it goes, The queen is not saying V1 rotate callouts even though I got it set to PNF makes calls in the FMC. I've got everything set up right and I've even reinstalled the aircraft set the takeoff speeds on the FMC but still no call outs. Any help please?

Did 747 airliners updated there EFIS panel where the Minimums Reference Selector shows RADIO/BARO instead of DH/MDA? I see some 747 operators have either DH/MDA or RADIO/MDA options but PMDG only has the RADIO/BARO selector. This also seems to be in PMDG's FCOM (page113) but I can't replicate the DH/MDA. Dario

Howdy... Having a great time zipping along in my QOSII... An interesting ocurance.... After a normal ILS landing at slightly lower speed ste reverse thrust, applied spoilers, and when slowing down added brake pressure to finally slow to taxi speed. While shutting down I notice a tire pressure warning in the MDU... I went LDU to look at pressures and yes, had issues with a bunch of tires.... I then went to maintenance to reset the failure.... and when I applied it it would only release the air until empty again.... Thought this to be kinf=d of weird.. Folks, have you ever noticed that after touch down and reversers open the inboard and central leading edge Krueger flaps retract, but not the outer ones? I have seen that first time in some YouTube 747 landing videos. Of course we are all fully concentrated during our own landings keeping the bird centre-line to watch this happening, but check it out!
