PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

After many hours of trying, it is now clear that PMDG 747 is stopping P3d from running. It got so bad that I un-installed both P3d and PMDG 747 (according to recommendations). I re-installed P3d and it runs fine. Then installed the 747 and P3d won't run. The only thing that is weird is a message during the program load as follows: PMDG debug. Warning: Unable to create work files. Run ad Admin (which it is) N.B I normally let these programs find their own paths and don't interfere with the downloading. When I was using FSX it was advised to have the program folder at the top of the tree (C:\FSX) which I did. Does P3d need to be done the same ? Glenn Hutchin…

Hello All. Over the past couple of flights, I've been receiving a message telling me there is an FMC Message. But nothing to see on any of my FMC's on any pages that I can see. I have been doing my normal start up procedure and then the message pops up when I am doing my engine start up and stays for the duration of the flight. Hi, after install the P3d V4.1 the 747 gives my after release the Parkinbreak for Pushback a warning that i had FMC Massage but there isnt any Massage in the FMC. The yellow Caution light is active to and i can no cancel this Massage. I have over 500 flight with the 747 before this issiu and i do the same like before. Anybody can help??? Thanks a lot Tobi

I recently purchased Trackhat, which seems to work fine with p3d aircraft, but will not work at all with QOTS. I have no idea what the problem is, any suggestions from Trackhat or Trackir users would be welcome

Hi all, I'm really loving flying the new -400 on P3dv4 but I'm having a problem with one function of the FMC. Before I explain, I have done the tutorial, read the FCOM and searched the forums and known issues list but can't find the answer. If it is there and I have missed it, I apologise. The problem I am having is with "Manually Entered Along-Track Waypoints" as described on page 11.31.17 of the FCOM. I am currently doing short flights out of Moses Lake, and if I enter one relative to a fix, such as UPBOB using the format UPBOB/-10 it works. Ezdok is not responding when in the PMDG 747 QotS II using FSX-Steam, DX10 preview and Steve's DX10 fixer. The Ezdok control panel opens but if I try to click on any part of it the panel just "blinks" and will not accept any mouse commands. The FSX-Steam, DX10 preview and Steve's DX10 fixer setup works fine with all other aircraft including the PMDG 737 and DC6; it's only the 747 which causes problems which is why I've posted the problem here. I have noticed that when initially loading an aircraft Ezdok uses about 25% CPU and then quickly drops to <1% but with the 747 it remains at around 25%. Can anyone offer a solution please? TIA …

Hi all: For some reason when I start up my 747F in P3D v4 my cockpit view isnt showing any of the virtual cockpit panels now- its been working fine forever but now all I get is the external view from the pilot seat..Is there a toggle or something I may have hit?

Hi - Updated the Queen with this past weekends update. In two consecutive tries, I found that when clicking the FMC window I received a crash of FSX with a dialog that I think that said "Unable to Open Daughter Window"? I may not have that exactly right, but FSX seemed to be referring to a sub-window. Thanks, Scott Robinson

Good day all users Does anybody know why FSX keeps crashing when trying to fly the B747 queen of the skies v3? It works great to fly the 737NGX but as soon as I want to fly the 747 FSX crashes. My system is: Intel i7 processor 16GB Ram 2 GB video ram Windows 10 Pro (updated from Windows 7) Looking forward to get this problem solved.

So i have narrowed it down to the 747 being the culprit to the CTD when loading in. I have tried ALL aircraft to include other PMDG products and all work fine. Sceneries were changed up to see if maybe that was it, no joy. The 747 was just purchased today so I understand there are always kinks to work out when getting new prouducts, So i am all ears. I just finished reinstalling and updating my entire PMDG suite (737,747,777) and have noticed a weird visual 'glitch'. When I look over the nose in the VC from the captain side, there is a weird greyish texture anomaly in the bottom left side of the glass that looks like a clip or something. Can anyone confirm they have this too? What is that?

Hello I have a big problem with my 747 v.3 when i climb above 10.000ft the autopilot disconnects, and I cant engage it Again. when I try to update nothing happens and it remains on version 8415 rather than the latest v3.00.8466 av is turned off as well as user control. any suggestions? nick caldwell

Hi.Since the latest operation manager update ALL of my 747 liveries have become corrupted.ALL 737 & 777 liveries are ok? Anyone else having the same issue? I cannot add pic as I do not have a dropbox. Regards M.Hamilton

Hey guys, did anyone figure out a good PTA correction for the rather dark PMDG version of the 747 cockpit? I'd really like to brighten it up properly, but whatever I do I can't really get it to look good. Either the colours loose too much of their intensities or I loose my shadows. Maybe someone of you had the same idea and figured out a good PTA VC tweak which he could share?

Hello, After updating P3D to v4.1 and updating PMDG aircraft to be compatible with v4.1 I get this error showing up on the upper ECAM: I also get a "Caution" light that I can't cancel. Thanks in advance! Regards Andreas Manum

Hello pmdg I expected QW787 after pmdg747-8, but I am disappointed and waiting for pmdg747-8 again. In previous p3d v4 update documentation, I saw an article saying that we need to finish pmdg747-8 So I'm curious about the current situation.

Hi folks and hi PMDG! I need your help please :) Currently flying in my Queen with the latest update in P3Dv3 and I received this messages the first time on EICAS. I read the FCOM by Boeing and did not find any reasonable explanation for this messages in my fact. 1) I fly with the freighter, so no STAB TANKs are built in at all 2) checked all hydraulic fluids and pressure. cant steer the 747 after 4.1 update, uninstalled and reinstalled and have the 747 up to date, not sure what is going on, just goes straight, all a message saying HYD RSVR_PRESS 2 in white, also fuel lo stab R in yellow, I use fs2crew aswell

My question is how to change default zoom ? The only option i have found is in panel.cfg ( 747-400 / Panel folder ) and there is something as VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8. However even i change value 0.8 to 0.6 i cannot see any change when 747 loads. Any way to that ?
