PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello all, I have a problem with p3d v4.1 and PMDG 747! I used this bird P3d v 3.4 no any problem until "child window error" After this problem, I start to use V4.1urged by necessity. Now I don't see range ring on ND! How can I eliminate this issue, Any idea? Regards. Serhan

Just question I have failed to find a solution to. In the GE engined 747's I can not get any V Speeds set during the pre flight. Exact same pre flight in a RR engined 747 and the V Speeds are there? Anyone any idea what I am doing wrong? Cheers.

I have just attempted my first autopilot controlled flight in the 747-400, and I noted some differences to the 737 NGX (which is to be expected). The 737 NGX seems to automatically enter ALT HOLD mode when reaching cruise altitude, but it seems like I need to press the ALT HLD button on the MCP to switch from VNAV PTH mode to ALT HOLD mode in the 747-400. Is this correct? This is not mentioned in the tutorial....unless I missed it. In addition, do I not need to enter the ILS approach frequency anywhere when preparing for the approach (like I do in the 737 NGX)? Please don't bite my head off here. I thought I had this sorted out, but after reducing my Envtex texture levels, the situation returned while flying the Queen. The error dialog that froze FSX was "Error creating child window." and occurred when I was selected the FMC for enlarged direct entry view (2d). This follows the update to the latest Windows 10 version and update of all PMDG in the Ops center. Thanks for any ideas. Hello, I have submitted a ticket through the main PMDG webpage but no one has gotten back to me yet. It still shows as “Waiting for Agent” so I’m posting here. Maybe someone can help me figure out how to fix my problem.. I was setting up a flight in the QOTSII and noticed in the Payload page, the Pax numbers are not right. It shows the following: UPR BUS 28/8 MAIN 1/BUS 37/33 MAIN ECON 215/28 When I try to enter a different number of passengers, for example 150 in MAIN ECON, it tells me "INVALID ENTRY". If I hit the RANDOM button, it only loads PAX up to the max number. Up to 8 in UPR BUS, 33 in MAIN 1/BUS and 28 in MAIN ECON. I have never bot…

Have technical question - why outside bogies hang differently to inner ones ( angle ) and what is the reason to keep outside bogies under such high angle ?

G'day All I recently did simulations with arrivals into Singapore and Penang. On both occasions I ran into some nasty weather on final approach (thunderstorm activity - AS for P3Dv4 real time). Both resulted in Go Arounds due to vis and severe turbulence. My real life experience had me believing that I should have received a 'Windshear' warning given the noticeable RoD on final. Bottom line is that there was no aural or annunciation warning in either case. Two questions: 1. Does QOTS incorporate a windshear warning into the EGPWS? and 2. Yesterday I purchased and installed Queen of The Skies. No problem with installation and during installation the Operations Centre appeared with update notifications for both the QOS and my 737NGX (which I have had for some time) and I updated both. When I went to read the QOS documentation though, PMDG has disappeared from the Start menu. No 737NGX, no QOS, no Operations Centre. I can find the documentation by going into the PMDG folder in FSX (Steam edition in my case) but how do I get the Operations Centre back? Rob Stevenson.

I have a Samsung CF 79 34" monitor and I'm running P3D v4. Resolution set at 3440 x 1440 x 32 in P3D I've changed the panel.cfg to the provided 21_9 file. The right and center CDU's pop up in a perfect aspect ratio. But the left CDU pops up too wide, same as when I had the default panel.cfg running. In other words, changing the panel.cfg fixed all the popups, including the ND and PFD EXCEPT the left CDU. hiya there I buy pmdg 747 in January and it had been working since January and this week I keep getting error message unsupported. I have tried to update it by pmgd operations center I go to update it I get blank screem with writing then flashes off it doesn't update no more some odd reason. I turn off my virus so updates it still doesn't update and I would like to know how to get this update working on operations center to update 747 v3 queen of skies thank you colin

Hi! If we do not take into account that LOWI may be too small for the B747. Which is the best and safest way to approach and landing at LOWI? LOC, RNAV, VISUAL? There is no ILS on this arpt.

Hello, I was wondering if PMDG will be supplying a new panel.cfg for pop up panels similar to the the 737 and 777. Everytime I view FMC or any other pop up panels they are 3 times the size. I know this is not an issue with a single monitor, but I am using 3 monitors using Nvidia. I did receive new panel.cfg in the past from PMDG and they worked extremely well. Cheers, George Ingram

Is anyone else excited to be going into the holiday season where both UPS and Fedex upgauge a lot of their regular cargo flights? Given that this is our first holiday season with the new QOTS, it will be a fun opportunity to fly the 747 into a lot of places it doesn’t normally go, both through UPS up gauges and Fedex wet leases of 747s. I remember last year around this time (when we were still in preview-mode for the Queen) looking at the interesting 747 flights that kept on popping up on flightaware and wishing I had a way to fly them...the next month and a half will be fun! Hi! Have completed about 90 hours of trouble-free flights with my B-744 license. Yesterday I got trouble with the flight planning. When I enter the route in CDU, "HOLD" is added automatically. "HOLD" is programmed both at departure and arrive. I have not intended to use the "HOLD" function. As usual, I use Simbrief for planning the route. Why is "HOLD" added automatically? I appreciate all the help I can get.

My operating system: Intel i7, 2.9 GHz Windows 10, 64 bit 16 GB RAM 2 GB VRAM, 2 monitors Active Sky 2016 FDC Live cockpit 2011 Scenery: ORBX and some airports like ENGM, EKCH, ESGG, EDDF, KMIA, KLAX, KSFO. No other software used and same configuration has been present now when I have perfomed test flights below. Route I have been flying many times now is the same, only one way to make sure where and why it crashes. ENGM - ESGG, very short flight but perfect for test flight. Hi all Just fired up the 747-400 for a flight but upon selecting Request Send I get the message in the FMC of 'No Routes Available'. Pretty sure this was how I accessed a list of routes (which are definitely in the correct folder) before. Think I should alternatively be able to enter the route name into CO ROUTE, but that doesn't work either (Not in Database). Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Luke

Hey Everybody, Hope y'all in the US had a nice Thanksgiving! I was flying JFK-DEN - I don't have the METAR but I set up some custom weather which was very rough (at DEN). After flying through about 80 miles of weather, at 20 miles from DEN the sim stopped stating "Crash - Aircraft Over-stressed." I am curious about the following points and looking for insight: Does PMDG internally record stress - as in, does aircraft stress from weather, or any sort of movement, negatively impact the aircraft which can cause damage/faults (that would show up in the FMC Failure section)? Alternatively, if I uncheck "Aircraft Stress Causes Crash" in the P3D settin…

So i know on what is now the "Legacy" 747, PMDG had the -800 and LCF varients. Are there any plans to bring it back for the current version? I would love to be able to fly a BLCF flight in an actual LCF not the Atlas Livery.

Hello all. I'm having a problem where when I turn the IRS's to NAV, as each one starts doing it's thing I get >FMC RUNWAY DIS, then >GPS LEFT, then >GPS pop up sequentially on the EICAS. I've tried to search for this issue but I get posts with either a problem displaying FMC Runway Dis or GPS, never all three. I'm hearing that it most likely is broken panel states, so I loaded the flight up in default and made my own panel states, but I still get these errors. Hi, I have just performed a two engines inoperative landing at KJFK due to several failures and I'm wondering if they are relative and what could be the reasons behind a repetitive failure on engine 4. First, while I had started the descent from FL390 after 14h00 of flight (from VHHH) I got the Elec Gen off 4. I tried to switch the gen nowcont on and off as per the QNH to no avail. Then at FL250, I saw both engines 3 and 4 oil temperature rising above the red limit and had to shut both engines. I declared an emergency and configured the aircraft for a two engine inoperative landing as per the QRH (once again) and landed safely on rwy 31L. When I checke…

Hi! When input FL340 in FMC the CRZ LEG's shows FL410. In ECON CRL page 2/3, CRZ ALT, I find STEP TO FL410. Can anyone here explain why? When I change STEP TO, the LEGS change to. My aircraft follow STEP TO FL410 if I not change the value. Are there a TRIM digital display in the B747 like in the B777?

While I have no problem with the 777 (with my new version of" iautomationcore.dll") , now it's the 747 that stops after about 30 minutes into the flight it locks up, and remains stuck. Only one solution: Ctrl Alt Delete.
