PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

I apologize if this question has already been posted... I absolutely love the B747 Queen of the Skies V2, but always have an issue climbing out due to very low N1 setting with auto throttle engaged. It appears that the auto throttle t is almost cut in half during climbout, making the plane stall. I almost always have to kill the auto throttle, and manually manage the throttles to get the Queen accelerating and climbing. I have all the latest patches installed. Does anyone have any advice as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks for the feedback! Gary

Hello! Getting a very strange issue with the 747. I have green/blue backlights on the radio panel and on the clock. Tried resetting the color in the FMC but that didn't work. If I lower the brightness of the lights a bit it goes back to normal.

Hi, As soon as I load any B747 QoSII I have a EICAS message: "NO LAND 3". I can cancel the message but it will reappear with Recall. The A/C still performs a AutoLand 3 if required. Ho can I eliminate this EICAS displayed message? Also another question: How can I receive an audible signal of the selected ILS frequency - what do I need to set on the radio stack? Thanks for help

Hi! I have a graphic issue that only appears when I´m in my B744 (when I use the PMDG-B777 everything works fine). The wing flickering fast approximately 0,5 cm upwards and 0,5 cm downwards when I am at the gate and the engines are on. I'm using ChasePlane. If I disable ChasePlanes Gimbal function the B744 wing flickering. If I enable Gimbal the terrain starts flickering. It stop flickering after 2-5 minutes but it starts again when I change cam from cockpit to wing or from any outside cam to inside cam. The problem occurred after I reinstalled all my F.S. programs dues to a forced P.C reset.

When I try to load the 747 all I get is a black screen. Has this happened to anybody else? I have registered and have tried to reinstall.

I'm following the tutorial, and everything works perfectly up to the point where the glideslope should be captured. Any ideas for troubleshooting this? The only thing I can think of is that when I save the flight immediately prior to descent, the aircraft reloads with something missing. The aircraft, aircraft , flight plan, and all switch settings match the tutorial. Thanks.

Bought the bird yesterday for my windows10, p3dv3.4 rig. She hand flies beautifully, but , I am having an issue with the command autopilot which continually disengages every4/5 seconds after deployment at around 800/1,000ft. if I hand fly her for a while , then re-engage the command the issue is resolved, not an issue with the 737ngx or the 777 which I've had since they came on the scene,. I tried a solution offered by a recent contributor who also uses CH yoke and pedals, of changing the USB ports, but without success. Can anyone have any suggestions? Michael King

Hi! Do I have to manually empty the default fuel in the A/C before I start, for exemplar, a short turn? I used the Auto Ground Operation for the first time today and no fuel was added automatic. In real life operation it´s impossible to fill an already max fueled tank. In the B744 simulator, I have no idea how it works.

As title suggests I am currently on route to EGLL and noticed the lights on the keys for the left CDU are no longer lit, is there a knob for this? As far as i'm aware the aisle stand panel knob is the one that controls the back lighting for that section, am i wrong? Just an update had to reload P3D before I OOM'ed, when it loaded up the lights on the left CDU were on again.

Hello guys! First of all, sorry, it took a long time until I recognised that the ACARS-function in the CDU 3 is functional... Now I've got a little question regarding the date. On the INITIALIZATION-Page I entered below UTC DATE the 23rd. (today, 23.11.17). That's working, but on the ACARS STATUS-page now the 23rd DECEMBER is selected. What am I doing wrong, respectively what can I do to get the actual date into the ACARS-Page? Thank you very much in advance! Kind regards Matthias

I've recently gotten the PMDG V3 (a friend gifted it to me) and I began to fly it, I've noticed, shortly after takeoff, all of the PFD's would go black, and I am unable to get them back. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

So whenever I make videos with the PMDG 747 v3, one half of the landing gear wheels and tires disappear as I touch down on the runway. Below are two screen shots illustrating the problem. Above: The left-hand set of gears are visible, but the wheels and tires are not. This is during touchdown, with the right main gears touching down first to compensate for a right crosswind. Question about real world procedure regarding fuel reserves for 747. In the PMDG Manual it is stated that 747 needs to keep min. 13608kg of fuel only for the purpose of cooling hyd. pumps. If so then i understand that during landing 747 needs 13.6k kg + reserves coming from normal route planning like holding, alternate airport etc... As can see YT movie ( ) LH 747 made her flight with fuel reserve less than 10TI believe that guys at Lufthansa know how to plan fuel and less than 10T is not a planning error, but how does it fit to above given fuel requirements ?

First time user to the 747. After planning the flight and routing through FMC then using the pushback function through the Menu of FMC, the engine Start is normal and pushback is complete. The real issue is when Park Brake is off, I have to have throttle at full to then have the aircraft taxi at a speed of around 8-10 knots and that's all I can achieve. This is with new scenery YBCS Cairns Intl.

Hello I have an issue after touching down this bird and waiting till about 50 or 60 knots, I see a red color break under left handside, when this happend I could not taxi further to the gate this 747, I know something wrong, can anyone tell me why this happend, FYI I checked if I accidently press a break but in this case no, and it is nothing to do with 747 PMDG it self as everything works just fine.

Hello all. First I want to thank PMDG for a magnificent aircraft in the 747-4. I love it like many of you. I do have a question about the FMC message that I keep getting. As suggested, I have saved my own Panel "State Load" And this seems to do the trick for a couple of flights. Then I get its FMC Message light again. Two things. 1) Will this be fixed so that I can just load up a desired panel state that we use to be able to do and not get a phantom FMC message? 2) What and I doing wrong so that 2- 3 flights in on my saved Panel Sate I get the same FMC message? As I climb out on departure, betty shouts at me "altimeter setting". She repeats this a few times, and then shuts up. I'm not familiar with this call out during the previous iterations of the 747 by pmdg, or even in the ifly. Im not sure why she is calling it, because I've set my qnh to standard as I go past the transition level, and the TL is set correctly in the fmc on the init and descent forcast pages. The standard qnh is marked with green STD beneath the vertical speed tape, and at no point is the qnh yellow (marking that local pressure is set above TL). The altimeters are synced in the pmdg options. What am I overlooking?

Hi! Do not take into account that LOWI may be too small for the B747. When I am at final at LOWI LOCR26, I get "terrain" and "pull up" warning. I have the right baro set with regard to AS for P3Dv4 and a valid route with STAR TULS3A. I catch GS but not the LOC. What am I missing?

So which add on European airports are Captains using for our Queen? It struck me today that we have a superbly detailed simulation of the mighty 747 here. Yet I only have one European add on airport that actually looks like it deserves the Queen of the Skies.....Fly Tampa Schiphol. The "others" all look like fs9 port overs made to work in P3dv4 and re named "mega"? I know Flight Beam are all high definition and very worthy, however there is none for Europe. Hi everyone, I am at eg. FL380 and 2 Min. Before TOD I change ALT to next way point ALT. Am I supposed to left click the ALT knob at TOD? The reason I asked is because the aircraft does not descend at TOD, it just keeps flying level. I am following the tutorial and it does not mention if I’m supposed the left click the ALT knob or not.
