PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

I have read that this is a problem with loading the PMDG saved states that ship with the 747. My question is why is this not fixed yet, its been quite some time. I don't often get on you guys but come on, this is a $140 addon for P3D v4, I should not have to be messing around to eliminate this problem. Second, what is the actual fix if you want to keep the panel states as they are, do you just load them and re-save?

For creating products that I enjoy so much. Tried flying different planes and same old conclusion in the end... let's load up one of the PMDG's. AND with that being said I just purchased the QOTS II just to support you guys. I don't even like it. Big fan of the 8F but whatever. You need food don't you? :D Simworld without you would suck.

Fellow freight dogs, I haven't seen this mentioned here yet, but Anchorage Professional for P3Dv4 is out. AeroSoft. It looks like Anchorage X updated to 64Bit and P3D. It is awesome. Hope it is ok to mention this here. You might have to run Make-runways to correct the RAAS callout. But the runways are correctly numbered 15 - 33 as well as the other runways. I'm always through there to and from RJAA, VHHH or ZSPD to name a few. Hope this is useful information. Rob

I tried the short turn panel state for the first time but couldn’t start the APU. I couldn’t see anything obvious on the overhead panel that wasn’t as it should be. Ground power ext 1 and 2 were connected and on. Packs were off. Nothing happens when I click the APU start. What basic step am I missing? It works fine from cold and dark. Thanks.

Good evening! I’m trying to create a panel state that is essentially cold and dark with external power already connected and available. With the battery and Standby Power off all CDUs are dark and so I’m unable to access the menu to save this state. With PMDG in FSX there was the option to load and save panel states from the Add-Ons drop-down menu but of course there is no provision to do so in P3D. I opened the panel state file and considered editing it but I’m concerned that I’d miss some detail and word not allowed up the panel state file and possibly crash the sim. Any idea how I can accomplish this otherwise?

Hello everyone. So far I have only made 2 flights with this incredible product. On both flights appeared the yellow GPS LEFT alert. I did not find anything in the QRH on this alert. Am I doing something wrong in aligning the IRS? Thanks Clayton Araujo

Search didn't bring anything up. I installed everything today for the first time and everything works nice apart from that noseless avatar (which never goes away from me) in the free flight preview and the fact that I am unable to change the Enable Splashes In Daylight in CDU. I click but nothing happens. I went to PMDG folder and changed the value in the settings and everything works fine. Dunno if it's a bug or what but figured I'll post if somebody else has similar issue.

P3Dv4.1 No idea about that, I have never noticed it... The aircraft works fine. Is this normal for ground shadows vs performance etc? Seen as wing view the textures are fine. this is the Lufthansa livery and as I have just done a 45 min preflight I'm not eager about testing it with other liveries right now ;D

Hi, a question I have about the FIX page that I couldn't find the answer for in the FCOM: in the NGX, after you select an approach procedure to a specific runway, you can enter that runway designator in the fix page (for example RW08L), which can then be used with the options below to create green distance rings on the ND. I always configure 25, 10 and 5nm rings to the threshold of my runway for situational awareness. However this technique does not seem to work on the 747 v3. Normal waypoints are accepted but runway designators do not seem to be working, so I was wondering if this is indeed normal behaviour and a limitation of the real 747 FMS, or if this …

Previously was working fine but all a sudden, no call outs. I checked the FMC settings, all call outs are set to 'yes'. Please help. Thank you. Jay

Hi, Just installed the Quuen on a fresh P3D V4, I've a big prohblem, every 10 - 20 seconds I have a lag during 3 - 4 seconds. I have that just with the 747, I also run the TFDI 717 (which on my rig was harder to run than the 747 in P3D V3) and with the 717 I don't have those lags My drivers are up to date, I use W10 with P3D V4 <ith an I5 6600K and a GTX1070 + 16gb DDR4 I did a new install of Windows last week end so everything is pretty new, the fresh P3D V4, Windows The only addons I use are Chase Plane, ASCA and FSUIPC

When I load an aircraft from the 747-400 QOTS II, the external textures do not load in either the preview pane or the simulator. When I first loaded the PMDG 747, I had problems with the external textures not displaying for the 747-400F, while the other liveries loaded fine. Today, no 747-400 exterior textures will load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Please help. FYI, my 737 and 777 external textures all load properly. Chuck

All, I am getting this weird behavior out of the airplane that I discovered when I got a failure. Can any of you see if you can replicate or is this my issue? With APU AC PUMP 3 (under fuel failures) failed, my fuel load goes to 203K and will not move. If I have 70K on there, it will jump to 203K. Also, despite fuel dumping, the gauge never comes off of 203K. For continuity sake, I am flying the Delta livery from PMDG. *Also, this is with FSX and even trying CLD and DRK start to make sure my panel states weren't corrupt.

Hello Captains When PMDG released the DC-6, SIMBRIEF updated there fleetdate with the PMDG DC-6. I was wondering if there is somebody here who can make the date for the BCF for SIMBRIEF. Regards Ronald van Ingen

I am working my through the Introduction for my new QOTSII. When I opened the FMC for the first time I noticed that the rego number, N747RR is not the same as the livery rego, N744PM. The Introduction makes the point that the FMC rego and the livery rego should always be the same. ?? Can I correct this? Rob Stevenson

Hi everyone. I have been flying the 747 with no problems at all. But for my last 2 flights, I have been seeing the following EICAS messages. I am using fs2crew so the preflight procedures are always the same. The strange thing is, the body gear steering is working normally helping the aircraft around corners. I'm not sure about FUEL RES XFR, I checked fuel system synoptic on the lower EICAS and everything was ok. Same for the other system pages as well, everything normal. Please ignore the TCAS OFF message, that was actually turned off. Thanks.

Hi Installed p3d4 and 747 with fs2crew but the right click in the instruments are not working for example I cannot start the apu. I literally reinstalled the windows and only installed p3d and pmdg 747 still the same behavior.

Using FSX Steam in free play mode 747 version 3 will perform 20 second initialization. When trying to fly online using FSX Steam 747 fails to perform 20 second initialization. All gauges black, unable to click on any items, and no landing gear. Both when trying to join a session or creating one same problem no installation. In online play if I disable FSUIPC 747 will perform 20 seconds initialization. I need FSUIPC for my Saitek gauges, I use SPAD.next to control mySaitek gauges. SPAD.next needs FSUIPC. I have the Multi-Panel, Radio Panel, Pro Switch Panel and they all work in the 747. At one time this all worked in online play but after updates from Steam, FSUIPC…

All, Two quick questions please: 1. How do I turn down the standby pfd (little guy to the right of the two main displays on the captain's side_) brightness? I know this topic was discussed a couple years ago in the B777 forum (link), but the solutions given require several extra steps to get the loaded aircraft into the state you want to start your scenario. I like to start pax variants with a modified startup state I created for a short turn at a gate, and conversely, startup a cargo variant on a ramp location with cargo loaders, stairs/power/lavatory AI attached to simulate loading activities ongoing when I arrive at the aircraft. Good day. Reverse thrust as well as nacelle anti-ice should not be available if PRV is closed. Today I got bleed air overheat, as a result the PRV closed, engine bleed valve closed, NAI was unavailable but reverser was still working. It happened on RR version, later tested the same failure + PRV failure on GE it behaves the same. from fcom from qrh Am I missing something or it is modeled inaccurately? Thanks

Dear PMDG, Are you going to modify the wingflex on the 747? I know it gets talked a lot in the simming community but is it to be addressed? Alternatively, can anyone find any footage of the wing behaving like this in the real world?
