PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello guys, This is a small suggestion of something I found today: I assign key commands (linked to my hardware buttons) for external lighting. The 747-400 has three positions for the beacon lights (off - center, lower - upwards and both - downwards). However, the key assignment only cycles them between lower and off. Is it possible for you to modify them so that the key commands toggles all three positions? E.g.: if they are off, one press moves it to lower, a second press down to both and a third press back to off. This is in order to reduce mouse usage to the minimum as having the cursor active greatly affects frames-per-second. Thanks in advance!

hi, today I got the pmdg 747 queen of the skies v3 for p3d v4. I installed it and updated it to the latest version. I flew once with the default condition of the aircraft around and everything was ok. several hours after, I loaded the plane, I went to the central fmc to load the cold and dark condition and while in the countdown procedure, at 4 seconds, the game stuck (not responding). since then every time I load the plane, p3d crashes and gets me to the desktop. any ideas pls? thank you

Yesterday I flew the RNAV RWY RWY 32 into Dover AFB in QOTSII. Wind was 320/14, visibility 10+ so I hand flew her down from FAF. Touch down seemed kind of hard (love the cockpit racket and rattle sound package). Watching the replay I touched down a few feet short of RWY threshold on the overrun area and bounced up about 5-10 feet before settling. There was no indication of damage to the under carriage, no busted tires and brake temp was fine at the ramp after taxi in. 2 all around. This raised questions of curiosity to me. 1. Would an aircraft with a LGW of 508652 IBS bounce like a 172? Is that realistic? 2.If so could this happen with no damage to the airframe…

Basically, the first thing is, I have noticed issues in P3Dv4.2 with sound, for example engage full throttle, then pull thrust to idle, then change between views and the sound resets back to that of full throttle again, even when thrust levers are closed.... and it's pretty annoying and i don't know how to make it stop and cannot seem to find anything online to help (just to clarify this is using the P3Dv4 standard views and not chaseplane etc...). when this happens (which is all the time), i then turn off engines and switch views and the problem persists, then suddenly CTD. the problem is detectable for me when in the passenger front wing/engine view. d…

Hi everyone, I purchased the PMDG 747 a few months ago, and recently I have been having problems with it. I have P3D V4.2 with some addons. I can run the PMDG 777 and 737 just fine, no problems, but When I load the regular PMDG 747-400 house livery, GE engines, it loads everything, and right after the loading complete, the screen stays black, nothing loads, and then usually stops responding. then, without a notification, it just exits out of Prepar3D, and I have to load everything back again. Good afternoon / evening folks, This morning I experienced something strange on my 747. First let me note that a few minutes prior to the incident I had run the Operations Center and updated the tool, and also the plane itself through said program. Both updates appeared as a prompt / alert on OC. Don't know if that could have caused an issue as I have never had this before. After updating, I was trying to run a very short flight (load the short stop panel state while parked at a gate, run a preflight, power the plane and perform a traffic pattern). Hi all, I've been having a look through the manuals and I was wondering if anyone more enlightened than me might be able to answer this question Does VNAV during flap retraction/acceleration provide any particular climb gradient, such as the standard 3.3%? Or does it just try and provide a certain level of acceleration or perhaps a particular V/S? Any insight is most welcome! Cheers,

Ever since P3D 4.2 and the 747 hotfix, I have noticed that there are no longer light relections on the aircraft at night for example: -strobe light reflection on outer engine pylon, winglets and tail cone -glow of nav lights on outer part of wing and winglets However, these things appear fine on my NGX and 777. Is it just me or can someone confirm this? Is it worth re-installing the 747

Hi folks, which effect has the Main Deck Signalling button (over head) (except that 'ON' extinguishes after some minutes)? I assume in real live it flashes lights on the main deck to inform the freight handlers to get ready.

I noticed this morning that the Northwest Airlines N676NW livery provided by the PMDG Operations center has ship number 6314 on the placard on the flight deck when it should be 6316. Using P3D V 4.2 Windows 10 747 Version 3.00.8605 House version N744GE KPHL Gate A 25 Heavy When I try and load either the Long or Short Panel States. The panel state loads then in a minute or less P3D CTD. I have tried this several times. At different airports with the same results. I did a search here with no results. A couple of days ago I went through the 747 tutorial using the House 747 described. All went well. Yesterday I tried the same tutorial using the United 747 version I downloaded from PMDG. When I came to calculate the "Predicted Altitude and Speeds" it would not calculate. I tried the tutorial several times with the same United 747. I know it says to use the House version for the tutorial. Does this mean that some of the PMDG add-on aircraft may have this problem. One other note. I tried to set the panel state to short several times with this same aircraft and P3D version 4.2 crashed to desktop every time. Windows 10 P3D Version 4.2 KDEN airport …

Hi All. Maybe my Google search technique is horrible but I cannot find a list of Event IDs for the 747 similar to the 737 and 777 ones found here Does anyone know if such a document (or similar) exists? I thought I once saw a spreadsheet for this but then again I may have gotten confused with something else! I use it to program my controls and panels. Hello! Today I bought PMDG 747-400, installed it in prepar3d v4.2, and when I loaded up I saw very strange thing - fuselage of aircraft have bunch of weird blocky shadows here and there. I decided to try to fix the problem: deleted prepar3d.cfg, restored default shaders, changed shadow settings... None of this helped. I'm out of ideas... What's wrong with my prepar or 747? Today I purchased the 747 for p3d. I paid and got a link. The download refuses to work. I never get more than 10% of the download file. I own lots of pmdg stuff. Never had a problem downloading and installing My internet has speeds up to 250 super fast. but it won't download. Ive tried different browsers and tried about 40 different things ( including browsers ) before giving up .Download runs and stops at 5%. I have disabled firewall etc etc P3d v4 x64 w10 Help, please Has anyone seen this before. Peter

Captains, Is there someone who can explain me in simple words the logic behind "HDG SEL", (you know, that annunciation on the FMA) in conjunction with LOC/APP. My problem: when appraoching for an ILS landing, and when being vectored to the ils-interception point, all of a sudden the plane starts to turn the complete other direction… Only way to interrupt is to deselect AP and FD and select both back on when established in the good direction. I have selected a STAR and APPROACH, but as i’m being vectored the plane flies away from the original route. It is like it wants to turn back to one or other point behind me?!? After all the appropriate pre-start preliminaries I move the fuel control to run. I get a reading for the EGT and the EPR, but nothing happens with N1. What might I have omitted to do? Rob

LANDING AND TAXY LIGHTS NOT ILLUMINATING THE RUNWAY all the other aircrafts works I have 777 also and i works help please P3D 3.4 after a test i noted that the light works but at so low intensity that they seems off .... is there a way to increase the intensity of the lights? cause with the 777 and 737 are ok only with 747 they are very low in intensity... thank you

I am using FS2Crew with the QOTSII. Despite having all the latest updates for both, I repeatedly get the dreaded "Split IRS/No land 3" messages. It seems to have no effect on the plane as it still auto lands perfectly with 3 A/P lights lit. FS2Crew don't have an answer and have asked if PMDG can indicate what could give rise to this error. Good day everyone, For the past couple days, i've been having an issue where the PMDG 747 crashes on start up. The sim will load to 100%, but then crash. The 737 and FSLabs A320 work absolutely fine with no issues. I haven't installed any new scenery in this time, and have tried loading the aircraft at several locations, with the same outcome. I have read that the issue might be caused by a Windows Update, but to my knowledge i haven't seen the computer update recently.
