I tried looking through the given documentation and the forums and couldn't find an answer, so I'm hoping I can get some insight here. The speaker function on the comm panels, is it possible to get those to work with vPilot or any other atc. Would that be something they would have to incorporate? Just would be cool and real to be able to quickly switch from headset to speakers and actually use that knob down there.

How do you light the key pad on the CDU? I know where the brightness switch for the screen is but apparently the key pad is not lit.

I have installed P3D 4.2 but the 747 will not load from the startup screen. The sim seems to start and load as usual but then the screen goes black (no sound). After a few moments I get either the "P3D has stopped working" message or the computer simply reverts to the desktop. The 737 and 777 load and fly normally. If I load a default aircraft, then switch to the 747 after the sim is running, it loads correctly and flies normally. Are hints to what is happening here? Thanks.

Hello, I just bought the P3D version of the Queen and just downloaded the installer today (so it should be the most recent version). After finishing installing, the OC tells me, that there is an update available (...for whatever reason...) When I then try installing the update, the OC downloads the files and the updater starts but it then it suddenly exits without one single notification whatsoever (nor completion, nor error) and the notification that an update is available vanishes. Checking on the "Version" tab yields that I still don't run the most recent version. When trying to load up the 747, I only get a CTD before P3D4 finishes …

Hi! I need some knowledge from you. Does my weather rader in my B747 works together with REX SkyForce weather engine? For now I use AS+ASCA. Is it possible to automatically download wx+ data into my PMDG B747-400 FMC? Does PMDG B747-400 weather radar show present weather in the navigation display in the PMDG B747-400 cockpit when I use REX Sky Force 3D? Can I see the weather in my navigation display?

This program does not update me the PMDG B747 V3, it tells me that I have an update, I click on Install Update OK and it gives the impression that it loads something, but if I leave the program and re-enter, it tells me again that I have an update for download and I can not do anything else, the new update is 3.00.8466 what can I do?

In the descent and you desire to input a speed in the MCP - so you put in 180 as an example - to have the big ol' girl accept this - you push in the big white button or you "pull" it. I admit it is a dumb question - and I should RTM - read the manual. But I am not in front of my flight sim PC. Thanks and feel free to point out my simplemindedness. Hello, I searched your forum to see if someone else has reported this issue. If so please direct me to that topic. I just updated my NAV Data the other day. I get my updates through Navigraph. They'll send me an email that the next AIRAC is available. I download the update for my PMDG product. At that point the next time I fire up FSX and load a PMDG product ( in this case the 747 Queen of the skies II) the FMC will list the current AIRAC ( 1806) on the Ident Page. I loaded the PMDG 747 today, and the previous AIRAC was showing in the Ident page and the message in the scratch pad said: "NAV DATA OUT OF DATE". Has anyone else experienced this issue,and if…

Hey Guys, after the Update to P3D v4.2 the P3D crashes to Desktop without any error message. I try to load the 747v3. At the Moment when i usually spawn and the Sim begin to load the panel - the screen stay black and after a few seconds the P3D crashed to Desktop. There is no Report in the Eventmanager and i recive no Message. Every other Plane Like A2A or so works fine. If i first load another standart or A2A Plane and switch after this to the 747v3 it works so far, at least i got no CTD Are there any Issues or crashes known?

hi, i tried today for 1st time, to use the vnav, following the tutorial (from cold and dark state). when i press vnav i get the msg perf/vnav unavaible. for me, i did everything right. in my demo flight i created, the only "strange" is the very short flight, lgsa to lgav, at 11.000 alt at a distance of 144nm. i used fuel 55.000 (25.000 for the flight in safety) plus 30000 for the wings as the example says. i put right the temperatures for takeoff (27c that moment +15 , plus a little more) 55 in total. trim also calculated 5.7 and put. v2 of 153 also at the spd ready. i dont know what else it could be. i read many times the tutorial example and there is nothing different. …

Hello all, I recently started making tutorial videos for the B747 based loosely on my company's procedures. The first flight is from PHNL to YSSY and is broken down into stages. This series doesn't really cover systems or anything in too much detail, but they do go over operational procedures. Hello all. Hopefully I'm in the correct forum for this question. When contacting ATC, the flight number is typically preceded by the company name. Emirates 123, Lufthansa 123, Air Canada 123 etc. I have this will all airlines except British Airways "Speedbird" which ATC just reply with the flight number. I have looked at the obvious when selecting the aircraft however, still no "Speedbird". Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kind regards. David Bell

Hi, I was doing the startup checklist for a flight and when I try to tune the radios in for ATIS and VOR information, I cannot move the knobs at all. When I press them, all I hear is a click of the knob moving and nothing else. All the knobs The radio panel FMC does not work either, nor the any of the switches, including the autobrake switch, the seatbelt and smoking switches, the evacuation test, the aileron and rudder trim and the ATC transponder. When I put my mouse over them, the hand is greyed out. I do not know what is wrong. Can someone help? Stefan Tanudjaja

Hi, I'm working on something with the 747 SDK and can manage to read all the events (like switch positions etc) without a problem. One thing I am interested in is to be able to read the current zone temperatures, i.e. the values indicated in white on the ECS display. I can read the zone control temperature switch values, but I am more interested in the actual current temperature of each zone so I was wondering if that's extractable from the SDK. Couldn't find a variable in the list at first glance for that. Thanks for any replies. Mathieu
