PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello together, hoping everything is fine to you. I have a problem with the -400 freighter model. The problem is that the interior lights of the main deck cargo deck and forward and after cargo are disappearing after a few times of using the -400 freigter. I mean that the cargo decks are dark at night without any lights. I have no idea how this could happened. I re-insatlled the 747 many times but it happens again and again. After the re-install of the 747 the lights are all working! But after a few times the interior lights of the cargo decks disappearing. No idea why... I'm conducting some test flights and I have noticed that on the PW variant the TOGA is exceeding the engine EPR (1.54) it goes to (1.55) and goes red(while rotating). I followed the takeoff procedures.(move throttle to 50% engage TOGA then move throttle forward once thrust ref is displayed on the pfd). However if I derate power on the thrust lim page it does not happen 1.46 EPR. My throttle is calibrated and are not moving while all this is happening. Hi guys, I am running P3D v4.2 and everytime I load up the 747 with Active sky I get an immediate crash to desktop. No logs in the event viewer nor anything. Doesn't happen with the 737 nor the 777. Any suggestion on what to try? I have the latest version installed and updated via the Operations Center. Thanks Teofilo Homsany

Hi guys, I loaded the 747 ready for my next flight and when I am entering the fields into the FMC I got to the CRZ ALT field which always works and when I enteres 290 for my flight level I got a INVALID ENTRY error message. Tried different altitudes and none of them worked. Why would I get an invalid entry if I am entering the altitude correctly? I also tried 29000 and still same error. Thanks in advance. Teofilo

Hi! I have a problem when I planing a flight from LFMN. I create a rout in FMC as usual, get a aktive rout, T/O and press A/P on. Then the aircraft will not follow the aktive rout, she try to returns to the ORIGIN. As you can see at the picture neater time "Z" or distans "NM" are displayed. The issue only occurs at LFMN. I'm using the following: Prepar3d v4.2 PMDG 747 QOTS II ActiveSky for P3dv4 SimBrief So I'm starting up my flight as I always do. Enter the flight plan data, request the weather data uplink, and get a message that the uplink is ready. Then the LSK i stuck at SENDsent, and I cannot for the life of me find a way to get the whole shebang loaded. No load button anywhere. Any thoughts?

Will 747-8 FMC calculate green decel point as displayed on the ND for the approach like in 737NGX? Thanks, Mark.

I've tried to dig up some information somewhere but haven't found anything concrete. When using Ext air, are the Packs switched off and only turned on when the Ext air is disconnected? Thanks!

So, today i got the 747 to install on my new computer, but, when I ran P3D, after it loaded the plane, the game crashed. So, i installed all the SimConnects. But, now bglmanx.dll is giving me an error about the procedure entry point blah blah blah Then, i heard if you remove the 'DLLs' folder in the PMDG folder in the sim's root folder, then the 'procedure entry point' error won't pop up. So I did, and it worked without bglmanx giving that error. The 737 and 777 works, in fact, i did a flight with both, and i had no issues. But the 747 is still crashing on startup of the game. -Aaron Kim

So, a few days ago, I posted a thread about my PMDG 747 crashing on startup. Well, I reinstalled again, and now the aircraft loads, but the aircraft loads up dead with no “Initializing all systems ... 15” etc and no landing gear. I reinstalled and uninstalled and reinstalled the simconnect in the redist folder of v3.4 and no luck. The PMDG 737 / 777 works fine, but the 747 loads up dead. -Aaron Kim

Having a strange issue with the PMDG 747 Prepar3d v4.2. After I load a 747 and change panel state to cold and dark it causes the P3D program to shut down and crash. If I load a default aircraft first, then load the 747 the problem goes away. I also have the 737 & 777 and neither are having this issue. Any ideas?

Ive been having a small issue with my painting and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am hoping someone here can help me out. When I paint the GE engines file and save it as a .dds file it then goes to the nvidia plugin and I save it as DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha, 2D Texture, No MIP maps. but for some reason I get this shine effect on two of the 4 engines! Does anyone know why? Thanks!

Hi Guys, Can anyone offer any tips or procedures for controlling speeds after takeoff on an Empty 744/F? ..mostly Freighter as I'm a Freight Dog. I always end up busting speeds for flap retraction...is there any way to control speeds? I mean I can control the speeds but at the expense of a ridiculously high pitch 20 degrees or more. Btw, I always use even the lowest derates but still bust speeds. Vnav..i guess is a no-no as acft wants to get to 250kt like rapido! Maybe perhaps a trick to FL CH or V/S immediately after takeoff? Or maybe set a low speed/constraint in the FMC as trigger? I ask this as I love to do positioning flights for my VA Carg…

G'day All How can I turn off PMDG 'Auto Ground Ops' (Service Vehicles) so I can individualise what services I need as I want to be able to use GSX in conjunction with it. Can't find anything in the manuals or setup menus. Any assistance appreciated. BTW, using the 'Short' turnaround as it lines up with QOTS11 FS2Crew. Cheers Steve Young

Hello everyone, to those of you who have the FS2Crew addon for the 747 I have some short questions. - I think my accent when I am talking english is not TOO german 😄 my "th" is not an "s" and so on.. how well does the language module understand the commands? I refer to Froogle (I think it was him) who - being american - had problems with his accent to make the program react in the Maddog.. - They say "It's so realistic in fact that FS2Crew has won the supreme accolade of receiving official PMDG status as the only 'Official' flight crew expansion pack for the PMDG 747!" hi everybody, is it possible to change the chrono from UTC to local time? I´m a little bit confused when I start at 14:00 (local time) and the clock shows i.e. 23:00 (UTC) When I change the chrono to local time I get the FMC message "SET TIME / DATE - POS INIT" Didn´t figure out how this should work. I’m not sure how realistic you guys do your flight planning, but I suspect you put a lot into to it so this maybe of interest to you. You may be familiar with the Rlat trial tracks on the NAT system, these for those who aren’t familiar these Rlat (reduced latitude) tracks separated by half degree of latitude, rather than full degrees of latitude separation. Certain levels of performance based navigation and CPDLC were a requirement to use these tracks. As of 29th March these tracks have now been replaced by PBCS tracks-performance based communication and surveillance using FL350-390 inclusive. Not sure if it's me, PMDG, FS2Crew or P3d v 4.2 Going through the FS2Crew tutorial I get a WARN light and sound when I start engine 4. There is a message "FMC Message". But when I look at the FMC there is no massage displayed There is no indication as to what the problem is. The light can't be turned off and stays on for the duration of the flight. What am I missing? This was also posted on FS2Crew. FS2Crew had no answer. Suggested I post on here also. Thank you. Bill McCracken

Hello I am currently in the middle of a flight from EHAM to KLAX in the 747 Queen of the Skies 2 and I am getting 2 EICAS messages which say Satcom Data Datalink lost Anyone know how to fix this? I tried searching in the manuals but could not find the answer. Thanks

I've been kinda quiet on the PMDG front since about last October when the Flight Factor A320 was released to beta. Since then until today, I've been pretty much on "ahem, another flight simulator" every day. Today, I started up P3Dv4 and thought I'd try one of my old faithful routes OMDB=OTHH with what else but the 747-400BCF. Well, I was once again blown away by the sheer work put into this baby. Excellent graphics, great sounds, and smooth as anything. What can I say but thank you Robert and team.
