PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask pmdg if is there a fix coming for flight directors. When you recycle the flight directors, you reset the autopilot and annonciator so the directors on PFD should disappear which is not the case in pmdg 747/737/777. However this is in 737 i presumed it would be the case for the 747 as they share the same philosophy. Take Care

Hello everybody, I recieved a program PIN error as I tried to enter an Arrival (never ever had that issue before). Tried to reload everything, no change. New flight, nothing changes. Hi, I’m just wondering about the message that pops up on EICAS When you have an FMC Scatchpad message? The sim gives the EICAS message “FMC” which always makes me jump as I associate it with the message ‘FMC LEFT,RIGHT” which signifies a potentially troublesome FMC failure. Im not sure if this message is one of the many company specific options but certainly on my aircraft an FMC scratchpad generates the EICAS message “FMC MESSAGE ‘ I Know the message has been “FMC” since the legacy versions, which I was involved in testing and advising on , but I can’t remember if I raised the question at the time so it may well be company specific or if not it’s probably …

Departure airport and runway given, thrust limits set, perf init set, flaps value 10, CG 21% set - still FMC do not calculate V speeds and trim value. What am i doing wrong ?

So I continue to get this message. I've gone through the "How to Fix EICAS messages that do not clear" work around/fix but still appears. It does go away when you hit the cancel button but then when you recall, it's always there. Any other ideas to get rid of this?

Hello, if the 747-8i will comes out, i have to pay the main Product, the 747-400 for 135USD? And then again the 747-8 for 30-40-50-60 USD?

Hi guys, I wanted to set up a flight with arrival at WSSS (Changi Singapore) but the strangest thing happened. For some reason the 747 won't recognise any runways or SIDs/STARs at WSSS. I ended up using WSAP to land which worked fine. The 777 has no problem recognising WSSS so I was wondering why there might be a problem with the 747. Cheers Brian

First let me say I am sorry if this issue has been adressed. I check on the forum and on internet. My problem is the ambience volume is too lound. I have the 777 and it is just perfect. My FSX volume is at 50 with my speakers detected (same as the one in the Sounds page in the FMC. I tried reducing the Master and Ambiance to no avail. A message that I have not seen before appeared just after take off this morning in the 747-400F. I had just raised the landing gear (and moved the gear lever down to the central position) when the message "GEAR DOWN DISAGREE" appeared on the EICAS screen. I cycled the landing gear down and then back up again, and the message vanished. Does this appear if I have done something wrong, or is it just a rare "glitch" that is programmed to occur once in a blue moon?

Hi there, I'm pretty much hooked on the 747 of late and try to replicate real world routes when I can. I got sick of having to search for routes all the time so I ended up compiling a list of passenger routes for all airlines currently operating the 747. The list is organised by airline and then flight number, ICAO and departure/arrival times are included to make it easier to pick a route to try out. Airlines included; Air Chine, Air India, Asiana Airlines, British Airways, China Airlines, El Al, Lufthansa, KLM, Korean Air, Qantas, Thai Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Looking for user made flightplans. Shorter distance preferred. I am terrible at this and even using the flightplan sites I cannot seem to do it correctly so hoping someone had a solid, complete, working flighplan they would share.

Last three months on and off I have problems with PMDG 747 P3D. I am having major problem with A/P almost every departure when I engage A/P, it disconnects. I try to connect A/P again it disconnects. IF with luck I make the cruise flight I am already tired at 380FL . it works for about an hour then A/P disconnects and dives the 747 to almost to ground .( VS 8500 Immediately after A/P disconnects) I tried to find reason why A/P disconnects . Several times I uninstalled P3D and clean the files from system. No success. Several times I uninstall/reinstall PMDG 747. No success. I went through "Controls" calibration/axis no success. I deleted my C…

I am sure that I have mentioned this before, but I am not able to find the original post. In short....I experienced a "glideslope" callout during take off this morning in the 747-400 F at EGCC Manchester (and I think that the same thing happened with the 747-400 BCF a few days ago....at the same airport). As far as I can recall, I have only ever heard this happen when taking off at EGCC Manchester, and only in the 747. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello everyone I’m currently running my QOTS in P3D version 4.2 and would like to update my version to P3D 4.3 however i’m not sure which would be the best way to go about it. 1.Just update client content and scenery to 4.3 2.Unistall P3D version 4.2 and install version 4.3 from scratch which would mean uninstalling QOTS and reinstalling. Hi. .... or rather kack of it ! After a while into a flight the pilot side ND became unresponsive. I could not 'pop it up' anymore by left clicking, nor could I change the mode or range. I had swapped a few times between LCD and CRT versions, as it was my first play with it, and was excited like a puppy when his Maser comes home from work. But the copilot side was just fine and dandy, like a newly blow-dried poodle. Hope you can help. Thankyou.

Hello I really want to do a super long haul flight in the 747 but it seems I have had a couple problems in the past with the plane not automatically handling the fuel tanks even though I enable it in the settings of the FMC. Also when I enter the fuel into the plane via the FMC then I have to set the correct pumps which i thought the computer should do. Do I need to do anything extra to engage the auto cruise. I want to run a flight in real time overnight Thanks

Hi I brought the 747 today and it flys nice but I have a glitch in the model when looking at the A/C select window ….the nose of the 747 is just like a skeleton , you can see a;; the seats etc.. but the rear displays fine . It also loads up fine so its just a minor glitch , my PC has W10 pro 64bit . Thanks Rich

Is there anyone who would be willing to do a tutorial video on a Go Around in this beautiful piece of work by PMDG? I'm curious to see, because I do not feel I am following standard procedures for this. And, I'd prefer visual representation with explanations as to what is going on. Thank you!

Hello, Please explain to me why RWY ILS25R is as outlined below: After SMO it says VECTORS and then a straight line pattern to God who knows where. It does not connect to SHELL. SADDE BAYST SMO VECTORS SHELL FOGLA RWY25R. My departure SID was SY1. Expected app STAR is SADDE8 trans ELKEY RWY ILS25R. Vectors CRD01 CRDWF. I haven't flown in a very long time and just got back into it, so maybe I'm rusty at reading and interpreting these things. Please enlighten meh. 🙂

Have recently installed P3D4.3 and the PMDG aircraft 737, 747 & 777. However for some unknown reason the 747 over banks while turning and have so far been unable to find why this is happening seeing that I have reduced the angle to minimum and even set it to auto but to no avail. Feedback much appreciated. Thanks
