PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

First off, amazing plane the 748i! I was doing a flight from RPLL to VHHX last night and when going to the EFB and entering VHHX I got; airport not in database! I know that Kai Tak has been closed since 1998 but Navigraph is still producing the Airac cycle with the Sid's and Stars for this airport. Is there a way to add the is airport to the EFB? Ever since I installed the 748 when I fly it, sometimes the sim pauses and the only way to stop the pause is the P key, which I haven’t hit to begin with. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or not. Maybe one of my controllers is sending a rouge p? Just throwing it out there.

I know this has been brought up but suggestions came up "no joy" None of the landing gears show on the ground and none of the panel buttons work for both the 747-400 and 777-200/300 I also have the 737 new gen and a 787 that work just fine....any suggestions??? Thanks Doug

I downloaded the newest version of the 744 QOTS2 for FSX as per Robert Randazzo's recommendation. Upon attempting to login, a message from the site stated: "We upgraded our login system to make it more secure. Please reset your password before logging in. Enter your registered e-mail address below to receive the reset password link and then use it to reset your password". So I did this and gained entry. This was 24 hours ago. I forgot to grab a copy of my license key whilst downloading the newer version of the 744 . 24 hours later, I just attempted to login to the site again to grab the license key, and lo and behold, the PMDG site has i…

Good Afternoon! When selecting Terminal Charts from the EFB of the 747-800F Navigraph attempts to validate. The pop-up window, however, is completely white. Hi, Has anyone else been experiencing where the autopilot engages for about 5 to 10 seconds and then disconnects? Within the FD parameters for LNAV and VNAV.

Hi, While cruising I was playing around with landing performance in EFB, and when selecting NO CREDIT, ALL OP, Two INOP....calculated landing distance was all the same for me. Dont you need more runway if you have two inop reversers? Also yesterday landing in Seattle it told me to use Autobrakes 4 so I dont run off the runway, I used autobrakes 4... and had almost half the runway remaining. Any ideas?

This is a bug that myself and a few others were testing out for 4 hours to find out what the problem was. It started with one of us trying to do a flight into KSAN and his plane bricked after departure about 2000ft in the air. (Brick means the gauges were refreshing at about 1FPS and the plane was uncontrollable, very little to no feedback from manual flight control inputs. When there was flight control input, it was also refreshing about once every second or so, was uncontrollable.) So we started testing. The original route was KSLC to KSAN as a UPS flight. I have version 3.00.8466 and have a message saying that I should update to - 3.00.90008. how do I do that? David

There is a silver faux vent on the captains side of the VC down by the faux speaker. To the left and above of that and running all the way down past the left side of the EFB to the oxygen there is a seam that you can see the ground through. This is in the -8. Very noticeable at night when you are say around 8 to 10k and the Orbx (or Black Marble) night lights are showing (the 3D ones). Anytime you look at the EFB you can see the twinkling lights through the seam. I was in the DLH newest livery if that matters.

Hello Can anyone advise please? When I switch focus away from the P3D window, the 747-8 sounds mute (engines etc). I have P3D set to NOT mute on focus switch and all the ambient airport sounds continue to play just fine. Is there a PMDG 'Mute On Focus Change' setting that I've missed somewhere. First of all the 748 is an absoluteley amazing addon, as a "fan" of Lufthansa I'm very happy that it's finally available for P3D. But the LH liveries have quite a few mistakes and I hope that you can fix the repaints since the previous ones were always really good. For some reason I was not able to directly attach my screenshots to my post so I had to use links. There are also pictures of the real plane for comparison. When certain procedures are activated in the CDU, the plane essentially crashes. The sim does not crash, but the plane accepts no input and all of the displays stop matching what the aircraft is doing. The plane essentially bricks in the air and forces the user to reset the sim to resolve the issue. This is tested and reproducible with this specific approach procedure into KSAN: LOC27. When the LOC27 approach is activated, the 748 simulation essentially crashes, while the P3D continues to run. Here is a clip from https://www.twitch.tv/chillywillies testing the bug:

Regardless of the position of the seatbelt switch, the EICAS message is always "SEATBELTS OFF" in white. Anyone else have this issue? This was on a cargo version so maybe correct, not sure.

Hello, need help, when I want to change the frequency on the left side to for ex. 135.220 its there is an ERR on the radio panel. This frequency is needed for the app on vatsim at LSZH. But its the same, when I`m not connected to vatsim. Some frequencies working, some not. There comes an ERR on the radio display. Whats the reason or whats going wrong? Thank you for any help. Volker

I thought it meant to get the new 8 I had to update the 4 and also thought it said to delete or uninstall the 4 first before updating....ok did that and went to update and it said I did not have the 4 installed?

Hi After a recent avsim article i decided to reinstall my pmdg 747 v3. However while doing so and re-downloading the installer, i found that the installer refuses to even open. I get to the point of the admin yes or now. Then after that nothing. I have tried scanning discs for corrupt files, reinstalling the installer and also compatibility modes to windows 8. or keeping it in automatic. And still nothing has worked. I believe it might be a possible problem with windows that i'm unable to find, but i think this is the best place to ask for some help. Hi everyone, I have the PMDG 747-400 QOTSII in FSX. I wonder if someone could clarify whether the same 2-D popup panels are available on the new 747-8 in FSX: i.e. all 6 DU's, 3 CDU's, Radios, MCP and ISFD. And is there a separate 2-D popup for the EFB? Thanks,

I noticed this morning that the default Boeing Sunrise livery has the GE engine logos reversed on two of its engines. It may be worth checking other default liveries for the same fault. Cheersm Brian
