    Hi guys, Hope someone can help me but I am not able to show the airport on the ND. I have read the EFB manual, created the DB for the first time. When I am on an airfield I zoom in on the airfield like 1.0, but I never see a map... What am I missing here? Or maybe point me in some direction as I am totally clueless now... ooh yes, btw VIDEO does not work on FSX - EFB ? kind regards

    "TO-1, TO-2 and Assumed Temperature calculations will be implemented in a future update" I thought this was one of the great features of the -8 and the EFB? While I obviously know that PMDG never give release dates... Can you tell us ANYthing about this?

    What a great job PMDG! This aircraft is fantastic, and I am glad to have it in my hangar! Purchase and installation went fine, as did installation of extra liveries, and creating one of my own. One question remains for me - I thought I heard some time back that there would be a paint kit for the ground vehicles, and that we would be able to create airline-specific ground vehicles for our airliners. What is the state of play in that regard? Cheers, Brian

    Using the performance calculator in the EFB I get some differences between the readouts on the EFB, FMC and EICAS Please look here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5m6mchv0242rx1/2018-9-26_19-41-44-429.jpg V-Speeds are equal, but N1 limits are different - 97.8 on the EFB and 98.7 on the EICAS. Not sure if thats correct - but the V-speeds don´t change on the FMC when the Assumed Temperature value is changed - I tried various numbers between 25 and 99°C. Only the N1 limit changes. Maybe performance calculations in the FMC isn´t fully featured yet - like in the EFB ? FinnJ

  7. When trying to use the EFB touchscreen in both VR and Non-VR virtual cockpit I am finding that the touchscreen is registering the mouse pointer in the wrong location. For instance if I click on the Pilot Utilities button the Performance button will be clicked instead. This is only in the virtual cockpit as the 2D pop-up panel seems to work fine. Any ideas?

    Just wondering if anyone has noticed a discrepancy with the fuel loading being less than what you actually input. For instance, when I enter in 40,000 pounds of fuel, I wind up getting 39,994 pounds of fuel loaded. If I enter in 48,000 pounds, I wind up getting 47,999 pounds. When I put in 124,000 pounds of fuel, it would be anywhere from 120,417 pounds of fuel with a fuel density of 6.30 to 123,995 pounds of fuel with a fuel density of 7.20. When I put in 248,000 pounds, I get anywhere from around 230,000 pounds with a density of 6.30 to 247,995 pounds with a fuel density of 7.20.     I'm catching CTD with faulting module ucrtbase.dll when entering UKBB to ORGN actually standing at UKBB. entering UKBB anywhere else is ok. entering any other ICAO at UKBB is ok. could anyone check this please? load 747-8F (seems no such issue on pax version), at UKBB (any scenery, any stand, even on the runway) with any startup state, then enter UKBB to ORGN on RTE page (if IRSs off switch to NAV and enter GPS position before entering ORGN). thanks

    Has anyone experienced the automatic configuration of the fuel pumps failing even though your simulation settings in the FMC indicate you'd like the pumps to be configured automatically? I've done it manually many times without issue (and understand the correct process) but it seems that this added feature for the sim isn't working correctly for me. I've woken up to see it fail to Auto Configure the pumps for Tank/ENG on two occasions. Any help or guidance would be appreciated! *trying to figure out if this is a bug for everyone*

    In VC when looking over the shoulder (close to the window but not outside the VC model) I can see the wingtip and part of the engine nacelle. I assume IRL those can be seen as well considering the length of the wing. Unfortunately the external model seems to have no textures. Is this on purpose? Can textures be added?

    I always assumed that the Boeing 747-8 had taxi cameras like the Boeing 777-300ER. Is this the case? I haven't been able to find it with the PMDG 747-8 so I'm thinking this was very likely my misunderstanding. I'm surprised that Boeing didn't offer it, being that this is such a large, and very long, airplane. In any case, I'm up to the challenge of learning to taxi this beast without the aid of one if need be 😉

    I'm having a weird problem with my PMDG installers. I just downloaded the new 747-400 v3 and and when I try to run the installers,, but the nothing happens. I tried disabling Windows Defender, running the programs as an administrator, or in Windows compatibility mode, nothing worked. 747-400 v2 ran without a single problem... That's a really weird issue. Anybody have a solution for this ?

    Hi all / Robert, I love the -8 amazing, however I was into a flight from YSSY to YBCS for my third short haul test. After approx 2.0hrs and preparing the FMS for the STAR and APP the FMC froze however the flight was still continuing. I loaded the approach and went to execute and it wouldn't sequence and the white light on EXEC was still highlighted and no cursor clicks could change menu pages on FMC. Map to Plan rotational knob would not work as the flight continued as normal. All other features still had full functionality. Any ideas guys? Regards Steve

    G’day, While experimenting with the perf calculator to work out a pseudo flex temp at KVPS i got some rather strange results. So off runway 19 full length at 390T i found the max temp i could get without an exceedence weight message was 44C. Then by increasing the temp to 45C i get a message saying the max take off weight is 359825Kg. So 1 degree makes a 30175Kg diff in take off weight. Another 1C to 46 at the limit is now 356884 so just under 3000Kg. So from 44 to 45 there is a 30 ton change in limit weight but from 45 to 46 its 3 tonne change. Just wondering what is going on here to cause such a huge change in limit weight of only 1 de…

    Hi All, Was just enroute to Beijing from LUX cruising at FL310 when P3Dv4.3 just froze then crash. Upon checking event viewer, i saw PMDG_747QOTSII.DLL was the culprit. This happened about 1hr 30 mins into the flight. Has anyone encountered this? Regards, Dario

    Dear all, Two simple questions I have no idea if they're related...... 1- Is it possible that the plane rejects TO just before hearing the 80-knots call? without my interference from me as PF ....... Perhaps, because of wrong flaps configuration or short runway or not configuring the EFB or something similar? 2- In some flights and after adjusting auto breaks to 3 or 4.....Upon touch down the auto-breaks goes to off position? I know it because the plane doesn't stop as it should, then when I check the knob it's at the off position, any reason for that? Many thanks,
