PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Myself and another user just finished up our second flight with the 747-8. The first leg was from KPAE to KSDF, 3.5hrs. Weather at KSDF was cool, rainy, with wet runways. On our second leg we flew from KSDF to OMDB. After 12.5 hours we landed at OMDB at early evening, 96*F. We both used brakes 2 and reverse. They have long runways so we were light on the brakes and rolled all the way to the end. We both had over heated brakes and tire failures. We had to use maintenance to repair them in ordered to taxi. I we have flown the 747-400 and the 777 and never experienced overheated breaks before. Is there a way to turn it off completely?

Is there any reason why I can't reset the failure for brake temps and tyre pressure failures? If I try and fix it, the tyre pressure error goes off but the brake temp stays, and then tyre pressure comes back on. (on the 748!)

I can see the standard fix for this state is to reinstall Simconnect, which I have done and it's still in a state where the aircraft looks like it hasn;t been registered. I followed the full uninstall / Reinstall of the 744 base package and installed the 748. Registered the 748 and it's in a state where it's not been registered. The 744 is also the same. I turned off AV. Reinstalled Simconnect (all 3 versions) and still the same. Help?

Hi guys, I have a strange little problem with the EFB. As in the picture shown (https://www.dropbox.com/s/x7k34y4wolv0g8v/EFB problem.png?dl=0), I can't select the boxes on the EFB when my cursor is over them, but only, with an offset. You can see on the picture where my mouse cursor must be to select the "OAT" box. Is anyone having the same issues? Ideas for a solution? I have the P3D version installed, with antivirus excludes from scanning the installer and also did some reinstalls. I have Windows 10, 64 bit and P3D 4.3. started P3D with the default aircraft selected in the starting screen. Thanks for any help on this issue. If more information …

After the latest update, when I want to load my route, FMC tells me that an ACARS login is required for correct use of data link. How am I doing this? Has it been described somewhere?

Same problem as always. Download in Thailand is about 215 KB/s. And very unstable.

PMDG Team, Will be have access to the tabular data for each airframe and engine configuration you have built this around? Would like to build some aircraft templates for PFPX that I would be happy to share with the community (if that is okay). Ran in to some minor issues with this data from a competitor that just released and airbus for P3D (was already released for FSX. Also need this data for a performance tool that I am in the process of working on for the 737, 777 and soon 744.

Hey, First congratulations for the release it all works good I just have a verry little "complaint" about the navigraph login window. Would it be possible to make at least the password field to support pasting ? I'm using a password manager with specific password for each website and it's not very practical to reenter a complex password when you cannot have it displayed side by side and that the focus is lost on alt tabbing 🙂 It's a very very little thing which is why I post it here and not making a ticket or anything as that really should just happen once in a while 😉 Now I'ml gonna fly this nice aircraft 😄 Cheers!

Hello 🙂 Anyone know why my moving maps aren't working? Will open a support ticket if I can't see if I'm doing something stupid haha. I have run the EFB Data Load, I have my addon scenery enabled but no moving maps for EGLL, EGKK, KJFK?

Odd problem. I'll be flying along and a sound will suddenly drop in volume by half or so. It's not always the same sound - sometimes it's the bleed air packs, sometimes it's the wind noise, sometimes it's the engines. Over the next minute or so, the sound will usually slowly ramp back up to where it was before. This often happens when I'm on autopilot at cruise altitude and am not actually touching anything on the keyboard or controls, so I'm fairly sure I'm not doing it. I put the Windows 10 volume control panel up in another monitor and watched it, but the sliders don't move when this happens. It seems the wingspan of the -8 is a bit bigger than the -400, and so is a category F plane rather than E, which seems to limit the stands that can be used. It the stand is too small, GSX will not give you ground services. Gates listed as HEAVY in the starting location dropdown in P3D aren't always big enough. Navigraph parking charts don't list the aircraft supported, as far as I can see. (Although there are special taxi charts for cat F aircraft). So how can you find suitable stand numbers? (I've just googled for stands the a380 uses which seem to work ok for GSK - KSFO: G101 EGKK: 110)

Hello there, From yesterday with latest update my 744 when I launch aircraft in P3D in cold and dark, GPU is connected (available), cargo doors open and as before, passenger left door open. ACU cart is also connected. Is it normal? I think that cargo doors should be closed in that state. During a couple of minutes, all 4 engines shake and vibrate. I checked deactivating EZCA effects but engines keep on moving. Should I install again? Or is it something new with new update? Thanks very much.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the current QOTS II FS2Crew product is working with the new -8 expansion? I’m out of town at the moment and will buy the -8 when I get back home but wondering if it works or not. Thanks Jay Dames

Hello I'm having a weird problem with my PMDG installers. I just bought the 747-400 and -8 for P3D and when I try to run the installers, I get the prompt about running it as an administrator, but the nothing happens. I tried disabling Windows Defender, running the programs as an administrator, or in Windows compatibility mode, nothing worked. I ran them on another computer operating on Win10 and they ran without a single problem... That's a really weird issue. Anybody have a solution for this ? I also tried downloading them again and updating NET Framework. Nothing worked. The weirdest thing is that it only happens with PMDG exes, I tried installing other add-on…

I added the 747-400 and 747-8 into my cart and purchased both of these together. However, there is only one download URL of 747-8 in my Previous Orders under the "Downloadable Product(s) Information" I can't download 747-400 and install 747-8.

Hi, After reading the EFB manual about the Airport Moving Map, and building/scanning all the files, I still can't get the map on the ND... Any idea? Regards. PS: Problem solved by rebooting P3D.

Hello, Just wondering is it normal that everything freeze up. I entered wrong parameter to perf init -page and then everything just freeze and don't work. I run always P3D on administrator, but why it's do that?

Apologies if this has been covered before, do I need the full Navigraph subscription ( Charts and FMS ) or can I just subscribe to the charts ? Thanks

Uninstalled base package and installed it again. Loading up P3d v4.3 i can see the base 747 and operates normally (without asking for license activation). Installed the extension everything ok, installed a couple of liveries also. Loaded P3D but 747-8 is nowhere to be seen. Did the above 3 times no result. Any ideas?
