PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

i just bought pmdg 747-8 after uninstalling pmdg 747-400 an reinstalling as told i tried to make a flight with my new 747-8 but after takeoff exactly after oassing 1800ft the pfd and nd start to display airspeed and altitude very laggy cant retract my flaps or cant control anything on mcp or fmc... i uninstalled and reisntalled both 747-400 and 747-8 many times but problem still there i cant make any flight with my newly bought product... it is very frustrating... please help...

hi ive changed the aircraft in the fmc to be KG instead of lbs but the EFB is still in lbs - is there a way to change the efb to match the aircraft in kg? or could you point me into the correct document i need to read cheeRs i have also pressed use from fms and it puts the weight into lbs in the earlier section of the efb performance thanks

It seems after landing there is some sort of brake issue. The plane will not taxi in spite of the auto brakes being off and there is no over heat warning on the display. This never happened before the B747 8i expansion. I owned the Queen B744release, had no problems at all. I have seen others report it before the new expansion.This is accruing now with the B747-8i Is there a fix ?? Please help......

Hi everyone, I have strictly no issue with the 747-8i so far. I have however a strange behaviour on landing. Let me tell you: - My first flight was BOS-FRA, arriving at FRA, everything's fine, touchdown (I was landing like a -400): my reversers won't work... how my, I was boucing along the runway (thank you RAAS). The second time I touched down, it was ok. - Second flight: FRA-Bengaluru. On landing, exactly the same problem. I had to press brakes to the max resulting to an emergency evac at the end of the runway (due to a very long landing). - Third and fourth flights: landing respectively FRA and PEK: same problem, I flared too soon, or I miscalc…

I’ve searched here and in the manuals, maybe I’m using the incorrect terms. But can anyone tell me real quick how to get the moving map to display while on the ground? I have Navigraph and the EFB works great. I’d like to see where I’m taxiing on that map. Thanks

Going to send in a support ticket but thought i would ask here aswell, since installing the new update for the 747, I cant get my wind forcasts anymore, it just says No Comm, also when taking off I get a caution warning that says Runway Dis, this is all new issues after getting the new installer. Hi, I have set engines shanking as ON. I can see them shaking only in turbulence (which I try to on contrary switch real 747-8 has a great power during departure and engines are very often also shaking. It looks impressive. Is that possible to see and is it modelled in PMDG ? many thanks ! JM

Hi folks, referring to my earlier thread ... ... I have to add that to my surprise on final approach to MMMX neither the landing gear nor the alternate gear did work. On top only the fowlers worked via alternate extension, but not the trailing edge flaps. (BTW I learned that the 747 QOTSII accepts no gear landings without FSX detecting too early the aircraft's crash which usually stops the simulation. ) I am still confused about the lack of information about the bad shape of my bird... Hello, I have i alight problem with the PMDG 747-8, where when i descend when selected my descent Altitude in the MCP and my Arrival is logged in the FMC that the aircraft auto-descends about 2-5000FT and then levels out and speeds up into Overspeed and neglects to descend. The Profile in the FMC is as it should be with the speeds kept between 300-200knts. The only way i have out of this problem I have is manually manage the speed and Vertical-Speed. ( on a side note i have been having this issue but rarely in the 744 aswell ) On flights between KPAE-EDDH EDDH-EDDF I dont know at this moment in time if I am doing something wrong here …

I just installed the new version of the Queen (747-400 V3) and everything seems to work fine until I try to select a flight from my saved flightplans. That never was a problem, but it is now unfortunately. Hi! What are the handles used for which are marked with white arrow in the attached file? Some pilots touch the handle after landing. Is it a flusher for the toilet that is built into the pilots' seats or is it a comfort-handle?

Hi everyone, I'm pretty happy flying with the new PMDG 747-8 V3, but right now applications like TOPCAT and TOPER are not able to calculate Assumed Temp Reduction for the 747-8 yet and I don't know when there will be an update for it. I also tried to use the EFB on the 748 but it says that this feature will not be available until PMDG releases an update. So there's the problem, I am not able to calculate the assumed temp reduction. I asked some people around and they said that I can use something like this 👇 to calculate, but I really don't get it, so can anyone explain it to me how it works, or give me some other suggestions on this problem? I'm attempting to remove QOTS11 P3D to install latest version prior to installing the expansion pack. PMDG does not appear in add/remove programs in W10 and I cannot find an uninstaller anywhere else. I'm probably doing something stupid but would still ask for help if anyone has suggestions. I am getting a crash to desktop when trying to hide the EFB 2D panel using the 2D panel click spot when in VR. The click spot works fine in non-VR. Below is a video demonstrating the crash:

If didn't find the ECL zoom function. I found a solution. If you opened an EICAS systempage in the zoom (+) mode and than you openend the ECL page you have the ECL in the zoomed format. If you have the mouse function enabled you can scroll through the CL items. Succes Regards Jo va Bra

I have a problem, I installed the last version 747-400 from PMDG website and I start the installer a message comes on screen that my P3D version is old, (yes this is true V4.1)It says that before install 747*400 I must upgrade P3D last version! And then the installer shut down immediately. But I don't want to do that. I have a lot of add-ons and I don't want to spend my time uninstall and reinstall one by one all of them. Hello, I am really enjoying the 748. It is without a doubt the best long-hauler in my virtual fleet. Nevertheless, even the best products always have some areas where they could improve. Here are two (possible) ones that I have found: Flight-deck lightning: It seems that PMDG is still using texturised-lightning for the lightning in the cockpit. Is this something that has been decided due to possible performance impacts with using other solutions?
