PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

The FMC won't "release" my last flight. The prior flight was KATL-TJSJ but when I load the 747F in KMIA it still shows that flight in the Company Route. It will not let me send an ACARS command to find/enter a new company route. I can't delete the old route. Help please.

two things for the 747 QOTS2, #1 the device that switches views, non-existent its also not in the views/instrument panels. #2 PDMG menu is also non-existent from the addon menu. Ops manual talks about it, but i can't find them in the menus.

I have FSX: SE on a 64 bit pc. aircraft loads fine and I also have the 737ngx that runs perfectly. With that said, the 747 QOTS 2, I can't click on anything on any of the controls in the cockpit. So I have to open each view like the (full MCP view) to use it. any ideas how this is fixed?

Hi , This message is directed to Vin and the graphics team first and foremost . Firstly I must say that I love the work generally and the 747 v2 modelling and textures are great overall externally and internally . With this said I would just like to focus on one particular area in the vc that I feel kind of lets the rest down to some degree in terms of its structural accuracy compared to the real aircraft. I have just started a flight in the 747 and for some unknown reason all the pop up windows are not visible. They are certainly there but seem to be behind the main panel and invisible. I only know there there because the cursor changes to a plus or minus sign. Pressing shift and 8 still does the same. I am using Ezdok V2 but this has only just started happening. Does anyone know what could be causing this? thanks Keith

On occasion I have a light in the cockpit that I can not get rid of. It is not the dome light or the storm. I can't seem to find the source. I can't stand it when flying at night. Anyone else have this issue?

Considering purchasing this beautiful looking aircraft, before I do, I thought I'd get a bit of feedback from anyone with a similar rig, much appreciated. I’ve had a really good look in this forum and I haven’t found an answer anywhere. Hope I'm not asking a second time... I’m on P3Dv4 and for the last couple of flights the pushback tool (despite being configured with “90” in the turn angle field) is just pushing me straight back then stopping for no apparent reason. When I then click ‘stop’ on the console I can taxi as normal… but of course I'm pointing the wrong way. Does anyone recognise this behaviour? Is there a common error I’m making? Like I say, I couldn’t find anything in the forum… Thanks for any help, Tom

Goodnight. I have the problem with the pmdg 747v3 latest version, which when loading the sim (p3dv3.4) reaches 100% and produces the fatal error "prepar3d.exe stopped working and should be closed" what would be the solution?

Are there any plans to release a paintkit for the PMDG ground vehicles in the near future? It would also be great to have some simple logic allowing to control which groundhandling/catering livery to use based on Airport ICAO/Airline Code, perhaps an entry in the vehicle's cfg? This would be similar to the way GSX handles this. Thanks

I want to share my experiences with EZDOK in combination with B747-400 version 3. When you start B747 in FSX_SE and allow EZDOK to start automatically, you can experience that FSX opens the B747 in a completely white or completely black screen and you can not do anything about it except to restart FSX and hope it works correctly. Start EZDOK manually and it will work better. It works for me but maybe not for you. Probably you already figure it out by you self. If not, test it.

I am considering buying the 747 for P3D V.3.4. Will this also include a free upgrade when I go to P3D V.4 please?

Is there a way in MSFX to make a quick key for the TOGA buttons on the throttle quadrant or an easier way to press them other than panning the window and clicking them with the mouse? Also... could someone please please please tell me how to silence the lady computer who announces the T/O runway, landing way all the time, etc. Thanks

Hi guys, I have a few times experienced a sudden and unexplainable power loss with the 744. There are no system to it as it have happened while taxiing out, initial climb and today 3 times on final approach. It has mostly happened with the RR Freighter, but today it was the PW pax version for the first time. What happens electric power and engines fail leaving me with a almost cold and dark cockpit for a few seconds until it comes back alive as just before it goes out. There are plenty fuel and I use AS16 for weather which fairly quiet.

Today I flew KJFK to TNCM with a relief flight. I use Saitek throttles and GSX for ground vehicles. So I got GSX to do the pushback fine at KJFK, I flew my route and landed ok, parked up and shut down the engines using the fuel control switches in the cockpit, all fine. However the GSX ground marshaller message kept coming up "Please shut down engines". Well I had, I even turned off all the power to the aircraft. I then wondered if this was something caused because the 747 has rotating fans in the engines, which if it is windy would slowly spin, could GSX think that is the engine still turning? I'm in NO WAY affiliated with FS2CREW or anything... but I know a good program when I see one and just wanted everyone to know. As you are well aware, airliners are not flown by a single person; it is in the case of the 747, by law, a multi-crew environment. I have a general question about the difference between the FPS I get when in the virtual cockpit vs. "View Cockpit Forward" in P3D V4. Not a complaint - I'm getting good performance overall. It's just that when in the VC I'm running ~24 FPS, and in View Cockpit Forward I get better than 70 FPS. I'm using a i9 7900x and a GTX 1080i, with ORBX scenery and Active Sky P3D V4. The issue is that when I'm in the VC, I get a stutter due to the low frame rates, and I'd like to improve that if possible. Hi, I am wondering if the perf INIT page in the fmc was changed with the latest update. I know after you loaded your flight info it would auto load recommendations for the most efficient flight and the altitudes. I'm running fsx all updates are loaded. thank you, Anthony Marquis

Good afternoon, I am finally preparing for my first 747F flight. After I planned my flight through PFPX and had the weight and balance settings set in Topcat, I entered the FMC to manually set the payload data and ran into a dilemma; the QOTSII FMC has 5 assigns cargo stations, Topcat has just 2. How do I correctly set my payload?

Not sure if this is intentional or not, so I'm asking here before I submit a support ticket. Seems like if I turn the knob to change the barometric pressure setting, the lowest it will go is 28.00 in Hg. If I need to go any lower than that, I have to hit the B key. Is this intentional?

Good day , I have enabled fmc calculates V SPeed in the options but it is not doing so. I never had this problem until the most recent update. This is on P3D V4. even if I manually enter some Vspeeds, it still says no V speeds on the PFD. The cg / trim is stuck at 22. I have a full route with runway set into the route and legs. I have set flaps to 10. Flight level and weights are set. I'm also having the exact same issue on the 777-200 as well. I have been flying these two planes for years with the fmc and this is the first time I have encountered this problem? I must be having a brain fart somewhere, lol . Thank you, Jefferson Davis
