PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hi All, I have just been looking around on sites like Avsim and FlightSim.com etc and notice there are repaints of the B747-8i Have I missed something as I didn't think the 8i had been released yet from PMDG. Maybe someone could enlighten me! When I purchased the 747 package from PMDG (online) am I correct in thinking the 8i will be available at no extra charge? Sorry if I'm sounding kinda dumb!

Amazing is the only word that can describe the Queen flying in Virtual cockpit with Oculus Rift. You are there and it is all in 3d virtual reality. The glare shield panel comes right out at you and is almost in your face while the main panel is sunk back in (in what seems like almost a foot back) from it. Knobs, switches and such are 3d and you just want to start grabbing them. Using native P3dv4 VR so the fps are a bit low so I turn down many sliders but you really don't care too much for site seeing when you have this amazing, complex cockpit in front of you to play with. Hi, as the title says, my screens go black from time to time. I might do a full flight without a single problem. But there are some flights in which right after takeoff, say 2 or 3 minutes after departure, PFD and ND go black, but I can still use the FMC. Thanks,

After I installed the recent update to the B747 QOTS II V3 on Sept 3, 2017 I discovered the elevator trim window no longer operates. The airplane seems to liftoff normally but there is no trim function once airborne and it cannot be changed on the ground. It worked correctly on the B747-400x and it worked correctly on the B747 QOTS II V3 before the update. The elevator trim works correctly on other airplanes but seems to have stopped on the B747 QOTS II V3.

Hello, I noticed that the ACARS now has some functionality such as OOOI status and such. In the ACARS\PREFLIGHT menu, there is an UTC DATE entry field which is pre-filled by the following: ▯1000000 I am wondering what data/format does this particular field take. If I enter a long number I get an Invalid Entry message but if I enter let's say two digits then it changes to ▯▯ from the ▯1000000. I can easily complete the other fields such as ETD UTC, ETE and AIRLINE ID. Not that it's essential but for the sake of fun I would love to know what data/format the UTC DATE field can accept.

Hi guys, unfortuantly I don´t find the old topic we were talking about this already. Hope you're not shouting to me :D Since my reinstallation of P3D v4 and the 747 QOTS II and FSUIPC, my panel state is not loading. Its loading the saved flight and it shows the loading bar with 20 seconds. And nothing - its not finishing. What is this causing or what setting did I forgot to set for this? I thought it was fixed. I suggest to update the apu sound to more dramatic awesome sound. Ain't the the APU sound somewhat vague and pale? I love the pmdg 747.. All the best Regards Jens

I have noticed there is a update for the 747-400 v3 i have down loaded this update ,and when i try to install this i dont know how to do this there is 3 buttons to press modify,repair and uninstall ,i have tried the modify button when i check on the pmdg opps centre it still the old version ,do i have to uninstall the whole program ,and to re install again .if so will i loose all my F S U I P C control settings ? Also how to install the version for 747-800 series ? Steve

As the title suggests, I was wondering if PMDG had any performance data related to flying with the fifth pod. I know that PMDG has accurately modeled the effects and I'm interested in doing a flight with it, but I haven't been able to find any information out there regarding shortened range, etc. Sterling Paulsen

Have any of you in P3D run a long flight with the B744 flying en route for hours with P3D window being minimized to taskbar, without facing issues later ? I'll explain later why I ask, but the basic question is if the B744 in P3D should always be run in open Window view and not minimized. I am not talking about Full Screen vs Windowed mode. I refer to Windowed mode but the Window lowered in taskbar while flying. I am troubleshooting a problem that might be related to this. Windows 10, P3Dv3

I tried to update my 747 QOTSII base package but installation fails with error "An outdated version of Prepar3D v3 has been detected." My Prepar3D installation is v.3.4 with HF3 (3.4.22.19868). I re-downloaded the Prepare3D and QOTSII setup packages and reinstalled Prepare3D today. But the Queen can't be installed anymore, even if I completely uninstall it before. Do you have any idea what I can do? Cheers, Falko

just a bit of advice needed. i am unable to update either of my 737 or 747 products despite re downloading and installing from my previous orders as advised when from the pmdg ops centre as shown in photo https://gyazo.com/6dc194b6123e5000ccbfdc3183d70fb6. (i get same message for 747 aswell) thus every time i try to do a long haul flight in my 747 or intermittently in the 737 the game decides to crash to desktop without any warning or reason as to why this is happening. for some reason i seem to be stuck in a loop as to why it is to why irt is not updating and no clue as to how to solve the issue any help received is gratefully appreciated …

Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing the Queens wing tip vortex's not being aligned with the wing tip but show up quite a distance below the tip? is it only mine or is it for everyone, running P3DV4, or as I'm using PrecipitFX has that affected it. Cheers Rod.

win 8.1, fsx, pmdg b747-400II v.3.0 qots, the landing gear handle moves from down to off continually by its self while on the ground, in the air gear handle stays in the up position. gear works as usual.

After playing with P3Dv4 for a couple of days it is clear to me that the days of FSX on my PC are a thing of the past. Better graphics - better performance. This process will require repurchasing some software. Which leads to my main question: Which weather engine will be required for the 747 P3Dv4 version ? I ask because in FSX it required ASN. Thanks
