Hello All, is anybody here using Riva Tuner Statistic Server to limit the fps externally? I do so but recently it is randomly not working anymore. I changed nothing on my setup. RTSS is starting together with Windows and yesterday it was working just fine limiting my fps but today it is doing nothing despite i haven't changed anything. I tried reinstalling RTSS but without help. Sometime it's working, sometimes not. Is there anybody maybe having the same issue or even better an solution for that? Greetings Michael

I have been trying MSFS 2020 on my new PC and have had more CTDs and issues than I have in almost 30 years of flight simming. This morning alone after their latest hotfix, I had 4 CTDs in a row. My question is, if I purchase P3D now, which is the one to get version 4 or version5, and the main thing i want is for it to be stable like my Version 3.5 that I used for years.

Greetings all, I have posted this problem to the P3D forum, with no l response. So, I would like to tap into the expertise here. Basically, when I want to select a plane, instead of seeing any aircraft in the selection box, instead I get a view of whatever I may be looking at in the sim when making my choice. This picture explains it all I have replaced content without any success...short of reinstalling P3D, what might cure this problem? Thanks. Sherm

Good day simmers, I purchased VHHH from WF Scenery on Sim Market and they posted a patch with two folders one to go in the main folder and one for effects. But the one for effects are LUA files so I don’t know if it goes in the effects folder or somewhere else and they don’t state that in the read me. I tried contacting them and they haven’t gotten back to me so I thought I would try on here. Mostly effects files are fx files that’s why I’m curious

Hi,I noticed that the flight director bars on the 737 are coupled to the speed knob on the mcp while the flight director bars of the A320 are not coupled to the speed knob of the FCU.To make it clearer what I mean. If I change the speed to higher speeds in the 737 the FD bars are going down (nose poiting down to gain speed). In the A320 the same action is not moving the horizontal FD bar.Hopefully my question is understandable.Thank you!Best regards Andi

Whenever I taxi, the wheel wants to turn hard right. I can get the wheel to straighten up if I work the rudder full left. I have checked assignments, and the only axis assigned to the rudder is the regular rudder axis of my T1600M setup. And that isn't the problem, because if I get the plane in the air, the rudder does not deflect right when the axis is centered - it behaves exactly as it should, so it's as though the nosewheel is disconnected from the rudder and has a mind of its own. If I load another plane, it taxis normally, so it's only the Lear that does this. Another point of info is that it does this whether nose wheel steering is on or off. It's been awhile …

I love FSUIPC and I've used it and all its versions for many years. I even use it to "toggle airport names" so that I can identify airports throughout the world by editing the CONTROLS folder in P3d. However, today, I tried a little experiment suspecting that FSUIPC "may have" an impact on P3dv5 performance (FSUIPC ver.6). I will keep my experiment going every day to see if I can replicate my conclusions. I disabled FSUIPC today and answered "no" when P3d asked me if I wanted to enable it upon start. Hi there, I like to buy Tenerife South GCTS. I prefer buying form ORBX central. I can see there are 2 versions of it. From Digital Design and one from MK studios. Any recommendations? Which one is the best regarding fpx, looks of the scenery, etc. Don't know which one to choose. Thanks

When I deselect any ORBX addon in the P3Dv5, it deselects the one above it. Only Orbx addons. Then I cannot reselect the one that was deselected. I have to go into the add-ons.CFG file in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 and change to true. I have repaired all four modules I have resynchronized in Orbx Central. I have reinstalled all my ORBX scenery. I have posted this on ORBX with no success so far. I have posted in P3D forum. Weird, but I could use some help.

Hi Everyone I am looking for recommendation for quality secondary airports in the USA to fly GA and smaller commercial aircraft out of. I have a number already from Orbx mainly in the west of the continent plus quite a few well known payware US primary airports but want to fly more GA style aircraft recently like the Milviz KA350i, my Alabeo C421 and Virtex DA62 etc. Happy to fly TFDi B717 and up to B738 if realistic as well. Any good ones out there that may have slipped my attention since in the past i was mainly flying tubes to major hubs?

Hi all, So my computer went very laggy suddenly and I couldn't identify the cause so I did a full C drive format and Windows 10 reinstall. At least X-Plane is not dependent on install location so I have X-Plane for my weekend flights. Regarding my P3D installation, I had P3D installed on a different than C drive and its still there. However all C paths that P3D uses as well as the Documents/Prepar3D Add-ons folder are gone. Do you know if its possible by re-installing P3D to recover the installation just without the add-ons folder contents? I'm afraid of a big mess. Also, what you would do at this point? Install again v5.1 or wait for v5.2 ? I'm on a good d…

Hi there everyone! Hope everybody's having a great day. I've been using AS for P3Dv4 for a year now but started to notice about a couple of months ago a strange oddity. I'm regularly flying to/from southeast Asia, and every single time I fly in and out of Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), the airport is apparently under a MASSIVE thunderstorm. The way I understand it, AS is using live weather and replicate it in the sim right? Having been in Singapore, I know the region is prone to tropcial storms on a relatively regular basis. However, it cannot be the case on a daily basis. Any idea why ? Thanking you all for your help !

Hi, I trying to remove that lower eicas from a 737 panel. whatever I do, nothing works. If I put two slashes // in front of the aircraft.cfg entry, both, upper and lower eicas are gone. Even I try with another eicas from, lets say, b777, both, upper and lower eicas are blank. Can someone give me some tips, how to get rid of that lower eicas, because it is useless while the same as upper eicas Peter

I am going to be asking just a couple of stupid questions, because it has been years since I set up controls in P3D. If I set axis for elevator, aileron and rudder and throttle foe a default Mooney lets say, and I go to another aircraft like an A2A Cherokee, to I have to set all those axis up again, or are they universal for all aircraft unless you use FSUIPC? I set up several controls for the default Mooney tonight, went to a A2A Comanche, and none of the axis I had set up were working. Just wondering.

I purchased Envtex and Envshade but haven't really liked using them and saw a performance hit so wanted to uninstall. I followed the uninstall instructions (restore through Envdir and then uninstall each program using Windows remove programs). However, my system does still seem a little sluggish, Envtex is still in my scenery library (although greyed out so I can't add/remove or move) and there's still a folder in Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons. How do I make certain that I've removed it all and restored it to a state pre-envshade and envtex? I've now also uninstalled Envdir. Thanks

I've had a stable install of the latest version of P3D 4.5 for over a year now, use it nearly daily, at the same config settings you see in my forum signature below: [email protected] all cores, HT disabled. Core temps are very low, I run P3D w/ quite low autogen/vege/distance settings and rarely see the main thread go over 70% in the NGXu or PMDG 777. And GPU is rare over 60% of peak. I have made quite a few flights from Aberdeen to Glasgow recently (in the PMDG 737NGX and 777F), and I have noticed a rather significant stutter at a location maybe halfway between Aberdeen and the PTH VOR (Perth) waypoint. In fact, this was so bad during a flight in the PMDG 777F (at 6000 feet) yesterday, that the stutter became a frozen screen (for maybe 15 seconds), then the sound vanished, and then I actually suffered a CTD! I did not remember experiencing such a bad stutter in the past, so I wondered whether it had anything to do with ORBx Dundee. Hi, it's me again, a Prepar3D newcomer. There are so many add-ons for P3D, and it is really hard to decide on what's essential and what's not - I've read many previous threads about that but most of them are about Prepar3D v4 and previous versions. Given that Prepar3D v5 have so many new features, including EA which renders many environmental add-ons obsolete, I decided to create yet another thread about that. Currently I have FSLabs A320, Active Sky P3D and FlightBeam KPDX. What else do you think I need? Another unrelated question, does Chaseplane add stall buffet and other sorts of aerodynamic effects?
