There isn't really a neutral sub forum to post this question in but from those who use both XP11 and p3dv5, would it be fair to say that p3dv5 generally requires a stronger pc to run smoothly? With DX12 and Vulkan of course this improved things, but I feel like I still have to dial my settings down quite a bit in p3dv5. Both sims look great with high settings, but I think p3d offers more customization with how far you can push the sim (just look at the settings page in each sim). Maybe its the addons as well, but even though I can make p3d run smoothly, there still stutters that show up every so often. I don't know how much FSX code is still left in p3d, but I can't help …

Would like to buy ZBAA scenery but so far have found only two versions, one is A-A Sceneries and the other WF Scenery Studio. However none appear to be v5 compatible. Would be interested in knowing if anyone has tried either version in v5 and if still compatible. Feedback appreciated.

Hey simmers, I flew for last maybe 12 years FSX, then P3D. My question might be actly attached pretty much to the FSX too, but - please believe me - after 6 days of digging everywhere I couldn't find an answer. Doesn't matter if it was FSX or P3D forum. I know - DCS is the proper military sim and I fly F-18 in DCS. Anyway. I can see a massive payload available to my plane model in ModelconverterX. I will use one example. I would love to use MER (multiple rack ejector) with tripple Mk.82 or Mk.83 These are pretty much visible/available when the model is imported to the Modelconverter. I upgraded and made a clean install of P3D v4.5HF3 about 2 months ago (new hard drives, graphics card). I loaded and installed everything at that time, but then P3D sat idle for a while. Since I didn't fly much, I'm not sure how well things were truly working at that time or not, but things mostly appeared ok. I came back to start actually flying again and am finding the sim laden with default scenery where I expected add-on scenery. I installed one or two other add-ons during that time (LatinVFR KIND, Virtual Avionics, FDS CDU Controller), but otherwise focused on MSFS. I have almost 300 entries in my scenery.cfg, so I have not tested everything. However, th…

thanks forum ( especially Ray from Chester ) nice place by the way for convincing me to switch to AIG from payware AI. although i do like the 2 programmes i was flipping between . this programme is fantastic, coursed me I bit of an headache to finally get it installed and working, and I was drunk after spending hours loading in the liveries/plans etc. together with AI companion the best I've ever used no doubt , so thanks again people , happy simmer today 😊 well until something breaks and you know that wont be long ! lol🙄

Well, the 35% off at FSDT is hard to ignore, and I'm considering GSX. I tried it at default EDDM: I liked all the Level 1 functions (so it's a sure purchase for me), and I don't care about passengers going up and downstairs. However, I have seen mixed reports about GSX SODE jetways docking to AI aircraft or not doing so. In the EDDM trial I couldn't make them dock to AI aircraft (despite knowing that the default FSX/P3D jetways do dock). I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it still does not work. I can't still ask at FSDT, I'm awaiting approval. So, in summary: as of now, do the GSX jetways dock to AI aircraft (as long as they have exits defined, of course)?

Am wondering if there is a high quality/study level A350 for P3dV4. Did a search online and couldn't find anything that seemed very impressive. If there is one, can someone please point me in the right direction. If there isn't one, why not? It seems like it would be something many people would be interested in. Also, on an unrelated topic, am probably getting a Honeycomb Yoke & Throttle, but due to setup reasons, am unable to use separate rudder pedals. Can it be used easily without rudder pedals? My current setup uses a rocker switch for the rudders and works pretty well, but want to upgrade. Any info is appreciated. Thanx.

Hi, I've just purchased the upgrade of JustSim's LEBL to use in V5 but have found that there is no dynamic lighting. There appears to be no place to go for JustSim support and I get no answer from their Facebook page. In fact, I can't see a single instance on there where a customer's question has been answered. Can anyone suggest either a fix or where I might go for support? Do JustSim actually still exist?!

Hav anyone here the same trouble? Got an Update via ORBX Central, since Immersion Manager for NGXu is broken. Did not work. All settings are red now, all says that its "uninstalled" - no settings available. version is 1.2.87 Click on update says that i own the latest version. ORBX Central says to me that 1.1.97 is installed, check the files tid not help. Press any button did not give any action, it opens the ORBX Central, to buy this again.

As you can see on the pictures attached, I am using SimBrief and trying to generate the plan. On the plan to Florence from EGNT, it simply couldn't find a path. Has anybody else noticed the shader loading after traffic starting to stick and take longer, I even re-installed the client and deleted the shaders folder but still happens I think it may be a addon that`s been updated as it`s only just started just over a week ago before the windows update, If it stalls I found hitting the space bar worked.

Hi- I cannot enable some of my addon scenery packages in P3D v5. For one, DD's Chicago X. The check box will not check, or if it does check, it then gets unchecked again. Can anybody help with this? Thanks. -Ed

I'm building a new computer so starting from scratch. I'm on V4.3 still due to inertia. Was going to put V5 on the new machine but am now thinking V4.5, since so many more existing add-ons appear compatible with it than with V5. If it weren't for MSFS 2020's arrival I would suppose everything would eventually be V5 compatible but I'm worried that P3D, FSX, X-plane development will be slowed or arrested due to MSFS. After spending weeks battling DXGI errors I have finally found the sweet spot in the settings and the last 3 flights have all been error free. I have finally experienced the new EA mode and I have to say, it is a massive step forward. I arrived into keflavik (BIKF) airport at dusk last night after a flight from Greenland in the brilliant FSlabs A321. After floating through the clouds the whole cockpit glowed orange with the sunset and then I was treated to an amazing atmospheric sky as we descend to the runway. I have been happy to stay with P3D v4.5 for the forseeable because it's been so stable for me and the reports about VRAM handling in v5 were somewhat off-putting. But having had a reply from FS Labs this morning they have confirmed there are advantages in v5 over v4 for the forthcoming 64-bit Concorde specifically with advanced PBR effects as well as improved frame rates. Dynamic Lighting problems in v4 seem fixed in v5 and performance is widely reported as being much better. With my 1080Ti card can I expect it to handle v5 VRAM without any issues now? Any other issues with weather I need to know? Is the new weather engine better than Active Sky which I am loath…

Hi there, After years of using commercial AI traffic programs, I just installed a few hundred AIG packages 😉 Since I'm very new to AIG, I have a few questions I'd like to ask my fellow avsimmers, rather than going to another forum. 1) I feel like AIG is using the wrong runway much more frequently, is there something I can do about it other than turning traffic off/then on (not sure this helps)? 2) I'd like to send aircraft to ZBAD (Bridge Beijing Airport), is there a somewhat easy way of doing this? 3) Is there any other program recommenced for better spacing/go-around avoidance? 4) I'm using FSUIPC to control some of the traffic, but maybe I shou…

Suddenly I am getting CTD with time change. As far as I remember that was fixed and I am/was using it for last couple of months. Either to ChronoFX or to P3D time feature. Only what was installed is T7 recently. Anyone experiencing the same or what could be the culprit out of blue? Thanks

I would like to know if other users of the P3D version of UK2000 Bristol 2019HD experience the same runway issue that I have seen since the product was first released. In short, part of the central section of the runway suffers from a "bleed through" effect of the base photoscenery terrain. However, this does not happen when I start a flight from the airport. It is worth noting that I use the Horizon 5 metre mesh with ORBx TrueEarth GB South, but I have the same problem when using the ORBx 10 metre mesh. Has anyone else seen this? I am using P3Dv4.5HF2.

Years ago I had this installed, but I have since built a new machine and did get a new OS hard drive. FSX, p3d v4 and 5 was on D and E at one point or other over the years. So, D and E have been brought over to the new machine. The problem I am having is PMDG 777 install thinks there is a p3dv4 and p3dv5 pointing to the same v5 directory and so I don't have gear and cannot click anywhere in the VC. PMDG says it's EMT that's causing the issue. v4 and 5 was installed last Fall when I built the new system. I tried uninstalling v4 and PMDG, but that didn't help. FSX is not installed. Hi, I would be interested to read what owners think of Quality Wings 787 Service Pack 4. I've been contemplating to buy the beast but refrained so far a a couple of reasons. One of which being the refresh rate of the gauges limited to 18Hz. That is still the case I believe?
