Hey guys, I am bouncing back and forth with P3d 4 and v5 and I starting using tomatoshade again for v4 Can anyone please tell me what setting to adjust the blue scattering effect? Scenery is too blue. thanks mike

Hi everyone! I knew before switching to p3d v5 that pta and tomatoshade weren't supported, but i recently found out that envshade is. So i was wondering if its worth it and if its as good as pta was in v4.

Heads up! For those current PMDG 777 owners upgrading their 777s to the new version(s), if you have the FCOMs, FCTM and QRH in your old manuals folder (in <your P3D root path>\PMDG\PMDG 777X\Flight Manuals) you'll want to save those flight manuals before uninstalling the old version. The new version does not include the very good Boeing-like manuals, apparently due to licensing agreement changes.

So, first of all hello everyone, hope you are good and healthy. Past few night sim flights I started noticing lights that would move on their own around the airport. Those lights are not AI traffic, street lights, vehicle lights. Light orb moves, left, right, varying in speed. Does anyone have an idea what would cause it? UFO? Ghosts? LOL The picture "shows" light, in different places around the airport on approach to Amsterdam. Thanks in advance Best, Ivan

Inspired by Spencer's question in this thread, I thought I see how Prepar3d reacts to some pretty crazy slider action. I thought I'd begin the flight test program at an airport I know well and have used many times before - Western Carolina Regional Airport (KRHP) in NC. It's a nice part of the world with the Smoky Mountains just on the doorstep. Let's start with the default F-35. I'm using a 2560x1440 display, I've got some pretty standard slider settings, the weather is clear and I'm on the active runway. Hi Folks, Just to share a little information regarding the Vertx DA62 and its auther Sean Moloney. As most would be aware Sean and been offline and the Vertx website has been running under autopilot for some time. Today Sean and I had a long chat and he's given me permission to post. At present Sean is suffering from the loss of his much loved wife Carla to cancer some 6 months ago. She'd been living with the illness for around 5 years, however took a turn for the worst and her last months required Sean's full time care and all the while being in a Covid-19 lockdown period. Cross posting this from the P3D forums, because I think I tend to find better support here. I am running an i7-7700k at stock settings: no overclock here. I'm running into an issue flying anywhere near the UK. I have had ORBX England installed, and have just uninstalled it, but still, once it's unpaused, I get 100% CPU usage and 2-3 FPS. When I pause? CPU usage drops through the floor and it goes right to 30 FPS (my limit). I've set a 255 affinity mask which as far as I know is the right one for this CPU. It does seem to use all the cores. Hello fellow simmers. First of all, apologies if this issue has been covered elsewhere. I have performed a search and have not found the answer. So here goes: I am running a Windows 10 Home edition, on an I7 8700K 32 GB RAM rig. Since installing P3D v.5, and as I have a graphics card with "only" 6GB (Nvidia GTX 1060), at some point I launched the ASUS gaming booster tool and stopped all non-essential Windows services and processes (about 50 in all). To my surprise, I am getting reasonably high framerates (39/40 fps) at a busy airport such as KLAX, with a complex aircraft (Leonardo's MD83 or PMDG's NGXu), with Active Sky and Ultimate Traffic Live loaded as well. …

Hi does anyone know how to deactivate Hazards.bgl? I've tried multiple times to remove it as I am getting the weird antenna glitch in v5, I've tried to turn it to .OFF, and delete it nothing seems to work. Anyone got any other idea on what I could do?

I am slowly getting fed up with heavier boeings in xplane and switching over to PMDG 747-777 and QW787 in P3D to get the best of both worlds. Now I have 757-767 by flight factor in XP and eyeing captain sim models in P3D. Those of you who have both how do they compare same or is captain sim a PMDG like comparing to FF? I am not really concerned with 3D modelling a lot more concerned with systems modelling and how they fly.

I recently purchased P3D v5 after a spell away from simming using MS sims in the past and have consistent issues with lighting at airports. Default airports are very dark with no approach lights and similar issues with add on sceneries such as JustSim LEBL. Initially had an issue with UK2000 but with the exception of the runway lights/approach lights that seems to have resolved. I have to be missing something in my settings or installation. I’ve searched the forums but can’t seem to find a definitive way to resolve this. Can anyone shed any light (excuse the pun). I don’t want to spend anymore money on P3D addons if I can’t get it to work. Thanks in advanc…

I don't know why but since I disabled the hardware acceleration (for reshade), I notice that the airport is not loaded when I land, that is, the textures are of low quality and only then they settle, why?

Hi, I'm seeing strange behaviour when doing circuits in the A320. I approach on ILS, land and decide to go around then do the following. Flaps up one TOGA GO-Around +Rate - Gear Up Pitch 15 degrees Check A/THR engaged Throttles to FLX then to CLB Trim is UP as required Hand fly to between 1500 and 2000 on runway heading Select Autopilot 1 Now things start to go wrong! I have the latest version of P3Dv5 (I think - P3Dv5.1.12.26829). I have 2 startup scenarios set up with identical cloud setups. Cirrus 4/8 35,000ft - 40,000ft and Cumulus 3/8 13,500ft and 10,500ft. The cirrus clouds show up sometimes in startup #1 but never show up in startup #2. Is there some magic or secret to get cirrus clouds to show up consistently in P3Dv5? I am not using any cloud program addons. Noel

Hello everyone, I have just received my package, but here I am having trouble understanding and operating the throttle on P3D, I explain myself in the photo below (link) when I have the ES throttle lever at zero on the simulation they are in the middle, whether its on Boeing or Airbus, I may have configured it and searched to find out the problem but I couldn't find anything, does anyone have a solution? thank you. Last week arrived my Airbus Thrustmaster set of joystick and throttles. I can see lots of posts (issues) spread over the different forums, but can anyone lead me to a good (actual) setup for using these sets with P3Dv4 for FSLabs (and/or Aerosoft) busses ? A good FSUIPC setup somewhere to find ?

I am looking for a great single engine turbo prop for p3d v5.1. But in my case I have a special request. I want two things. realistic flight/system modelling, and here is the big one.. I need a super clear vc panel with clarity on the vc gauges. Ive been using sim's for many years but I always have a hard time getting super clarity and acuity from the vc panel. I am using a Asus 1080ti card and Asus 4k ( although Ive tried both 4k and lesser settings ) . Im my case I always try to get things super clear ( gauges ) in the vc but to me most gauges are generally or somewhat blurry. Ive also tried with mipmaps off and on but to me there is little difference with respect …

My grandson has moved on to MS 2020 and I have been the "beneficiary" of his old computer replete with Prepar3D 4.5. I cannot believe something that looks and feels like FSX can give me 50fps as opposed to the often blinding speed of 6fps in days of yore and the resulting slide shows of the more advanced craft. Just a couple of observations coming back into the flight sim world. Why haven't the other big boys (you know who they are!) not produced a top of the range private jet complete with full systems etc, similar to Eaglesoft's latest offering. Everything is on my video when i fly with Fslabs, PMDG, it's clean and every one or two minutes my FPS drop like on the video I don't know why I've tried every settings everything is up to date.
