Looking forward to the RTX3090 I think this will bring V5 to a new level of FPS especially because if the rumors are true the 3090 has more the enough VRAM. Currently I use my Radeon VII and since I completely reinstalled Win10 and V5 HF2 i have very nice 20 - 35 FPS over ORBX Germany South, TE Netherlands and TE GB. And as far as I know already with a 2080 TI you have a lot more frames then with the Radeon VII the only limiting factor is the VRAM for the 2080. Cant wait to see what happens with a RTX3090 🙂 I hope it`s the right forum as it`s about V5 and not only about the 3090

Anyone else having an issue whereby taking off and landing final. getting a tcas warning ? Traffic traffic! but there is no traffic. im getting fed up with P3d v5.1 hf1 mans been plagued with ctd device hung errors. scaling issues. all my addons are v5.1 compatible, which are I don’t have many of. Hi, I have been away from simulator (again) for quite a time, since V4. Now I'm back with V5 and for the past 2 days only installing the addons. Currently the aircrafts and airports mostly done, for the AI Traffic I'm using AIG AIM OCI, installing all of them. Are there any "must have" addons that I'm missing? I'm currently using Addon Organizer for the scenery, fsrealtime is not working in V5 yet... I will purchase the upgrade version of Activesky for the real time weather, which I believed is a must. I have a problem which Ernie Alston from QW cannot help me with. The navigraph charts do not appear in the EFB. I have a navigraph account and I do have access to it but they appear blank in the EFB when selected. For most users this is not a problem, but there are some of us experiencing this. Does anyone know what the problem could be and possibly have a solution? Regards Trevor

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me with this. Flew successfully a couple of days ago, no problems. Yesterday morning started the sim and throttle and stick not working correctly, mainly Saitek/Logitech throttle module. NO throttle and it conflicts with my Thrustmaster joystick, using the throttle works the ailerons in spasms, mixture and prop don't work correctly or at all. Deleted everything and reinstalled, didn't work, checked what I could in P3D settings, nothing worked, so I need some assistance if possible. Funny thing is it works fine in MSFS. Can't get any help from LM as they say they can't find my details. As I see it, my only option now is to reset t…

Evening... Was flying the QW787 with ASP3D and as I approached SCEL I noticed huge cross winds of 45 to 55 knots. Aborted the landing and whilst I was holding I checked AS and noticed the whole application had 'hung' and basically I was seeing ground wind speeds that I was also seeing in the cruise (it hadn't updated). Has anyone else experienced this AS 'hang' mid flight? Thanks Ben

Hello everyone, It started happening last night, I understand this error has to do with the effects files not being properly configured. Thing is, haven't touched fx files or updated/installed new software into the P3D. Software is the latest, updated, and until last night no issues. The error pops up on running the sim, and only if PMDG aircraft is used together with Immersion Manager. If running FSLabs or default aircraft no issues. Also if PMDG aircraft is used with the immersion manager, the aircraft gets engulfed with dust cloud for no apparent reason. There was yet another thread on the PMDG forums requesting a new MD-11, which was quickly locked. I don't know about you, but to me it feels like PMDG are being a tad dishonest about the sales potential of such a product -- if it wasn't expected to sell, why then are both tfdi and rotate working on one? Afternoon everyone! I hope you are all well! I have come to the forums to hopefully find some answers! Okay so I installed for the first time P3Dv5 onto my computer. Everything was great, completed some European hops etc etc. Then I went on to a long haul last night. EGLL - KIAD in QW789. About 30mins from T/D I noticed the aircraft not following autopilot, joystick inputs would not work, Chaseplane would not function (even after a restart of Chaseplane) Vpilot would also not respond. I'm looking to replace the default AI traffic w/ liveries that look like real world traffic and isn't too hard on processing overhead. Simple and effective is good, don't care about massive configurability. If I could simply install and have the existing AI more into realworld traffic that would be ideal. Flying PMDG stuff only currently. Thanks!

I posted this at the FB forum a little while ago and I got no response. Seems like FB is on lockdown, Can someone try the NGXu at one of the KSFO "F" jetways and tell me if they have the same problem. I'm just trying to figure out if this is a problem unique to my installation. First pic shows how it looks when the scenario is started (I've tried F72 & F83 so far) Second pick shows what happens (JW points at the sky - moves up instead of out towards the plane) as soon as I try to use GSX or the SODE control panel to operate the jetway. Hello all, Having purchased and installed a new Saitek yoke and throttle plus additional Throttle quadrant yesterday, I have developed a problem which is confined to P3Dv4.5 and v5.1. The hatswitch simply does not move the cockpit view either up, down or sideways ... no movement at all. I tested it with FS2004, XPlane 11 and MSFS2020 with all functions working perfectly. I had flown P3dv4.5 this morning and it was all OK. I removed the .cfg and rebooted to rebuild the config file. No difference. I changed from raw input to direct input and rebooted, No difference. Did anyone noticed this with P3D V5.1HF1, Truesky EA Mode on? I´ve made some screenshots from my EHAM Departure in East direction, above Amsterdam and further on. It seems like TrueSky clouds are capable of reflecting light, illumination from city-/moonlight. On these pictures you can see clearly that the downside of the clouds are lighten up. I´m not sure this is City light illuminating the cloud downside or Moonlight, shining on ground (through clouds - could still be a fault I know) and than ground bounces the light up in direction of the clouds But this illustrates only that Truesky clouds are capable off reflecting light (regardless the li…

Hi, P3D's HDR mode looks really weird with some aircraft, especially FSLabs A320. Since P3D v5.1 HDR mode became mandatory for trueSKY (which is not surprising, as volumetric cloud / sky calculations tend to involve physical brightness values which often exceed SDR), and it looks like many people didn't like this decision. Even though it is possible to simply disable HDR mode using prepar3d.cfg, it causes artifacts as sky & volumetric cloud highlights get clamped to maximum brightness. Hi I bought a new computer last month but have been having a lot of issues with p3d/addons and the sim CTD. I’ve rest the computer and for the first time installed the sim into D: which has over 1TB rather than C: which has 500GB, my intention was to put all add-one into D: as well but when I tried to install FSLA320 it came up with an error saying it couldn’t find the sim. I bought the new Active Sky to work with 5.1. Upon install it is asking for my previous license key. Though I had previous versions, I deleted all of my v4 stuff of my pc to order 5.1. What is the best way to get the license key in order to complete the install?

I'm using PMDG 777 and just started to use SIDS/STARS. Is it a case of using airport charts to decide which SID/STAR fits with my destination airport route? Right now for SID I just pick one and see how it looks on the glass display to see if it is compatible w/ my intended flight path. Thanks!

Hi ..... hoping i'm not going to be howled off the forum, as this a Flight1 issue, but nobody over there seems interested ..... .... it boils down to non-communication between the GTN750 and the trainer ..... my situation is this ....cannot install trainer using the exe, as keeps insisting it is already installed on my system ............. in my travels around the web looking for a solution saw the suggestion to install trainer in another W10 pc, , and copy it over install over to my flying pc, which i did ....runs fine from a click on the exe but no communication with the gauge .... not being given the option to browse to the location of the trainer as in the past ...…

Hey Guys. Looking to mix things up a bit. had not previously done much flying in Alaska. Only thing I had was aerosoft PANC. Run V5. All my flying is of the regional and airline type. I see some good Q400 and 737 flying to be had here. It's not necessarily critical that I do real world flights. This morning I picked up Orbx Southern alaska, Juneau and Valdez. Would you guys recommend any of the other sceneries up there?

Occasionally when in cruise the Performance is still in Climb Mode. I have tried several ways to get the mode to transition to Cruise, but without success. I am sure there must be a simple fix? Any help much appreciated.
