I've noticed that there is no sound coming from the rain in my sim with True sky. Anyone else having this issue? I am using Active sky with the latest version of p3dv5.

i just installed an I9-9900kf to an Asus Z390-Plus MB....It makes my 4.5 look pretty good,and I'm happy with it ...but after seeing and hearing great things about vs 5.1....I'm beginning to get 2nd thoughts about upgrading. My hanger now consists of small GA planes and assorted turbo-prop liners that I purchased because they were rated for P3dv4. Now...if I dive into v5.1.....will I be able to take that hanger with me....or will it remain with v4.5...???

Am running P3d V4.5 and downloaded some SAAD A350's from the simviation website. The first one ( LATAM livery ) worked fine on a test flight, but now something weird is happening. When I open P3d, it works fine, but the desktop goes black, so I don't have access to the taskbar, Active Sky, or anything else I mite have running. It didn't happen before I downloaded the new aircraft, so I know it probably has something to do with that ( I think ), but I have no idea what, why, or how to fix it. If anybody has an idea what's going on & how to fix it, I'd appreciate it. Thanx.

Last Nvidia driver after a clean install. Third time it happens. What's that?

Hi, I have an issue with the latest LPPT airport addon for HF1 P3D V5.1 When i taxi over M3 there is an under bridge once my plane crosses over that point it gets jammed it flips into the air. What is causing this? I know a friend also suffers from this. Does anyone else? I have sent two support tickets with no reply. Thanks

Hi Everyone, I was consistently getting 40+ fps on any aircraft on P3D v 4.5 (FSL 25+). GTX 2080 TI and 10900K. I saw Windows updated last week and now I'm about half the frames and can tell my computer is working harder. Anyone else experiencing the same? Any clues how to fix?

The last HF update i downloaded was in June 2020 client version 5.0.24.34874. Is it possible to update with client only to 5.1 or do i need full install? Been using that other sim for a while but need to enjoy some real flying. Cheers.

Hello folks, I got V5 last week and with the same settings as V4.5, I have not observed a noticeable performance gain as the vast majority of V5 users. Then I read about the VRAM. My system: i5 4670K @4.3 Ghz - 32 Gb DDR3 - GTX 1080 8 Gb - 2K Monitor @165 Hz G-Sync - Win10 x64 1. Noob question: I know that my GTX has 8 Gb of memory. Is that the VRAM? 2. If so, I have the minimum VRAM required? 3. And finally, does the VRAM has an influence on: a) Crashs/stability? b) Performance/fluidity? c) Both?

The developer announced that all subscriptions will stop at the end of this year. Another good add-on is a casualty of MSFS disrupting the flightsim market.

Regarding Bergen X scenery, Is there a way to get SODE jetways to work in P3Dv5? I purchased it for P3Dv4 several months ago when I was using v4 but have since moved on to P3Dv5. Although the developer hasn’t updated the scenery to v5 (and I understand has no plans to do so), I was able to install it in v5 and it works fine except for the SODE jetways not working. The scenery is good so it would be good to have it functioning fully. Would be interested to know if anyone has managed to get around this issue and if so if you wouldn’t mind telling me how to achieve it. Hello, everyone. In my P3Dv5.1 install at some default airports, PHJR and KMIC for instance, I get flickering runway marking textures when I pan the camera around. The underlying material itself, taxiways, and buildings are still visible - and this is only at a few default airports. I'm a super novice with ADE (and AFCADs/scenery in general), occasionally using it to update some taxiways on simple airports, but I'm trying to solve this annoying issue and was hoping ADE could help. I've tried to make a flatten but have run out of ideas otherwise. Is there a chance any experts may have some other recommendations to fix this? I don't have any meshes, scenery,…

Hello Forum I would like to update the reality XP database for the GARMIN 430. I'm currently mid-way through IFR training and I'm using my SIM to fly approaches. I noticed the reality XP database is out of date. Is there anyway to update the database to include current approach nav data? I'm currently manually adding way-points as a work around but it would be beneficial to have an updated database for IFR training purposes. Regards Georgi Hall

I just received a bravo throttle quadrant. I installed the proper drivers. This is for p3dv4.5. Everything is working perfect except for the landing gear. The led lights are on but I can’t raise the gear. I’ve activated the profile but still the gear won’t go up or down. What am I missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is very frustrating. I have a serious location in P3D. I have loaded EGPH into UK2000/P3D but it ends up with a whole load of big red X's where the aircrafts gate should be standing. What do the red X's mean? Gaz

Hello folks, I'm on going to buy v5. I already have v4 on a SSD. v5 will be installed on that same SSD, but in a different folder of course. Is there any attention point to avoid messing sceneries, aircrafts, utilities or whatever? In other words, are there some best practices for v4 and v5 to cohabit peacefully dans seamlessly? Thanks.

I'm flying exclusively night flights, and I have a lot more CPU headroom as an indirect result, so turned road traffic back on for the ambience but it's as bad as it was at initial release in terms of herky jerk motion, and was hoping perhaps someone has figured out how to fix it. Everything else is liquid smooth for me so they stand out. Thanks in advance

Hello to all, I would like to know if someone can please give me an hint on what’s happening with my AI Traffic at Porto (LPPR) from tropicalsim. well what happens is that sometimes the aircraft are wrongly parked and I’m not talking about wrong positions regarding the airline but badly parked like beside the parking taxi line and with the wing inside the jetways or buildings.... sometimes what I do is restart the PC and everything becomes ok.... but only sometimes...does this happened to someone before? I use AIG and this is the only airport where this it’s happening.... if someone can give me an hint on how to solve it I’ll be very thankfull :). My Best R…

Greetings all, Simply put, as much as I like EA, my video card has only 6gigs of RAM, and so I am limited as to settings. I think my best bet, short of a new card, is to work with HDR as best I can. However, the problem there is that my monitor does not support HDR. So, considering those limitations, what is your advice in re internal P3D settings to get the most natural look possible, inside and outside the cockpit. What about Nvidia Control settings? Ideas are welcome, and yes, I know the correct answer is to upgrade my system. I am not ready to do that since I just purchased my card, GTX 1660ti less than a year ago. Title says it all. I'm looking for help, not view counts. I posted a couple of threads to get some guidance. One went a week with no response, The other in Radar Contact forum headed same direction. Before anyone mentions that maybe folks don't know the answer, the point of posting my question was that other's had cryptically responded they were doing what I was inquiring about. Hence I figured I could get a response fairly quickly. Due to previous outcomes to my questions, I am/was looking for an alternative if needed.
