Hi, I've installed Taxi2Gate's KSEA for version 5. All went well, however launching the application, I get this error: Scenery.cfg file error. Could not find scenery Area.172's local scenery directory: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimMarket\TAXI2GATE-KSEA P3Dv4\SCENERY Could anyone help? Thanks Ben

Hi Folks, Have you noticed that clouds move VERY fast under P3Dv5 HF1? Attached video shows cruising at FL 410 at about 500 kt ground speed. It is noticeable that the clouds are moving in the same direction as the aircraft but at a speed significantly higher than the aircraft. Weather engine is Active Sky for P3Dv5 Version 7448. Wind reading from the aircraft (QW787) shows 231 deg / 7 kt, so there should not be a meteorological reason for such fast moving clouds. While I understand EA is in beta, is anyone else seeing such phenomena, or is LM aware of such issue? Thank you, ZC

I'm running P3DV5, and I'm pulling blanks getting any sort of answer or assistance on the topic of head tracking. It seems that P3DV5 can use TrackIR and its associated software. However, I'm not finding any information regarding how to interface them. Nor am I finding any information at all regarding alternative forms of head tracking, such as Opentrack or TrackAR. I've actually managed interfacing TrackAR and Opentrack with FSX:SE, but I'm coming up dry with doing so with P3DV5. Any help, advice, or suggestions will definitely be appreciated!

So my p3d v5 is still crashing a lot and is unstable. Im trying to track down the reason for it, and I understand I can use the windows event viewer for this purpose. However, It is not apparant to me how to use it. IE my p3d just crashed, but I cant see anywhere in the eventviewer something related to p3d. I cant see any updated program crash for the current time either.

I have experienced this issue off and on for some time now. It happens in about one of every three flights. On final approach the aircraft will suddenly do a left bank. It lasts for only a second or two. It can be severe to the extent that it is barely controllable 60 degrees or more). It happens between 0 and 3000ft AGL. It also can happen on takeoff between 0 and 3000ft AGL. It only does the left bank, never to the right. I have searched all the forums and have seen such described, but it appears not to be all that common. No solutions cited anywhere. It happens more often at airports with added scenery. I have located this information for an earlier generation P3d, but it seems to not conform with the v5,1 view pages. My multi-monitor setup is working fine for both v4,5 as well as MSFS2020. Does anyone know of any decent piston twins that work well in Prepar3d version 5? Any of the great ones from Milviz or Alabeo or Carenado. Has anyone tried one only listed for version 4 and had success? Thanks

For 3+ years FlyTampa said KTL was under development. We never saw a preview or update and a yellow dot (meaning under construction) was place on KATKL. Now the yellow dot is gone. Does anyone know if KATL is ready to be released for P3D by FT? or the officially scrapped it? FT Forum is dead -no help there.

currently doing a flight i have auto step climb set and saved and set in mcp thou the aircraft did not climb at the desired waypoint from 350 to 370 thoughts please thank you p3d v5.1 hf1 qw 787 1.4 thanks mike

Hello, I would like to add some airport scenery for Mexico, Central America, South America and Africa, as I never seem to fly there. Could I please get some recommendations of detailed, high resolution scenery for each of those regions? Doesn't matter if its payware or freeware. I do see options on SimMarket, but am not familiar with a lot of these developers.

I read two different methods of adding scenery in P3d v4. Would the FSX method with addon scenery folder and scenery and texture subfolders work? Thanks

Just a heads up that I just received an email from Technobrain informing that their RJCC Chitose Airport now has a p3dv5 compatible installer available. Just like their last two updates for RJTT and ROAH, this is made available free of charge. For those that purchased the English language version through SimMarket, hopefully it will not be too long for the update to be available there as well. I know that the updated installers for RJTT and ROAH are already available. Todd

In my eyes, this was a break through. Myself, like many others, are forced to use MSAA with PMDG dynamic lights to get dramatically better performance. This indeed does the trick but you will sacrifice the dreaded distant shimmers. I'm using ORBX vector, base etc. with their night lighting and while it looks fantastic, those distant shimmers just bummed me out. So, I went ahead and started experimenting with NVidia inspector and was able to cure my problem. So here we go, my in SIM settings have FXAA off with MSAA set to 4 while using Dynamic lighting set to "on". Inside inspector, I have the following.... Antialiasing - Mode = Enhance the appl…

Just thought it was worth bringing this to peoples' attention, now that hell has actually frozen over and a major publisher has updated a product for P3Dv5... let's hope this isn't their last for a while. I mean, it only took, what... 14 months? Version 1.1.1 now available on Orbx Central and officially compatible with v5. I have installed it but not tried it out yet but others in the forum say it's good (after a quick hotfix).

tested P3d 5.1 l(latest) with a VR headset. If so, how did you set up your mouse, so that it would actually click a switch or button in VR? I can work with settings to try and get the visuals and framerate to work OK. But what frustrates the heck out me, I can't get that ugly mouse cursor to activate stuff in the cockpit about 90% of the time! I have seen others ask this question....it NEVER get's answered! What, do you VR users use to improve accuracy of the VR mouse selection. DCS doesn't seem to have this issue, what makes P3d so darn hard with this accuracy. Just got the PMDG 777-300ER. Downloaded just fine, but when I tried to install it, it said I had to update my PMDG 777-200LR. Went to the PMDG Ops Center to update my 772, but the Ops Center says my version of the 777-200LR is too old to be updated to a newer version. It has an updated version # for the 777-200LR, but I can't access it. What are my options? I really want to install the 777-300ER. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

I am currently setting up a P3d v4 installation and while doing testing I had several instances of my sounds being dampened when using the ATC menu. It would start with Atis report, come back to normal volumes after a delay, dampen again when using ATC. Is this a known bug in version 4? Has anyone experienced this and fixed it? I am using an AMD B450 mobo with E241i-B1 AMD High Definition Audio if that helps. Thanks.

Hello, How do flight simmers deal with the fact that there is a different pedal for each brake? Not sure if my Logitech Rudder Pedals sensitivity is set too high, but if there is the smallest difference in the amount of pressure I apply onto the brakes, then my plane will go skidding into one direction or another, as I am trying to slow down after landing. For that matter, I don't understand how real pilots deal with it either. Is there a way to lock them both into applying pressure simultaneously. Is this limited by model, or a global setting in P3Dv5? Thanks!

Hello, I was hoping that FSLabs spotlight would act like a sort of flashlight, and help me find the aircraft power buttons when starting up cold and dark at night. It seems though, that the spotlights don't work unless the aircraft is powered? Or am I missing something?
