Waiting for the DC6 in MSFS I reinstalled my p3d v4 (latest version fresh from LM) and the DC6 from PMDG. Halfway through my 1 hour flight all of a sudden my screen is getting darker and darker by the second. During the dimming, I can no longer manipulate anything in the cockpit, but it all works. I can disconnect the AP by clicking my ap disconnect on my joystick and I can see everything responding as it should. But mouse clicks do not work. And then finally, the screen simply turns black. I cannot see anything. I alt enter to maximize the screen, and for a second the sim looks normal, then it turns black again. What causes this, and what can I do to fix it?…

Good afternoon! I seem to have an isue with the brakes constantly being applied (Not parking brake). I have the CH Pro Rudder Pedals and have (re)calibrated and checked null zones, however they still seem to be on causing the brakes to burn and take off rolls to be miles long. I have tired with other aircraft, PMDG, default etc and the brakes are fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance, James

hello, its difficult to describe the problem for me, so sorry 😉 since last week, i had the possibility inflight with a rightclick in the screen, to view the C from outside and pan around. Further there was a button in the menu, where i could switch between the I aircrafts (i'm using UTlive). All these buttons are lost. In the VC i can pan around and i can use all asigned buttons. I use P3D v5.1, UTlive and EZ Dok Camera. I had reinstalled EZDOK but no success. Regards Joachim

As the title says, I have just installed the P3D Client 5.1.12.26829 containing the Hotfix 1. However I still have a couple of graphic problems which I was hoping would have been fixed. Using ORBX openLC Europe and EU England most of the trees have a white line (halo effect) appearing where the tree meets the sky, also the cockpits of all A2A and PMDG aircraft are very dark. I have heard 5.2 is hopefully around the corner but no guarantee these problems will be fixed. As for me these glitches are spoiling my experience in P3D 5.1, I am thinking of reverting back to v4.5. Is there a fix for these problems or any reason not to go back to v4.5, I didn't have…

One aircraft I wish to add to my P3Dv5.1 hangar is the Avro York. A 'conversion' of the Avro Lancaster bomber of WWII fame it was powered by 4 Merlin engines. As a very young (!) child I flew from London to Johannesburg with BOAC in an Avro York in 1948. I would really like to replicate that flight. Now I did find one that worked in FSX SP2 Acceleration, and I still have the files. However it is not recognised in P3Dv5 despite following the P3D instructions. One suggestion was that it needed an .xml file. Is there anyone who could assist in either making my Avro York folder and files work in P3D? Is it possible to create an .xml file and add it to my folder? I'm…

So, I purchased P3d v4 and I selected to install on my 2TB Drive D. In the install destination line D was accepted and I assumed the installer would create a Prepar3d or LM folder for the simulator. It did not. Basically Prepar3d's guts are all over Drive D and mixed in with other folders that were already on the drive. Would I have to create a destination folder myself similar to the default Drive C destination it wanted to create? Anyone have any tips on this? My drive C is only 240 gigs and I only had 59 gigs to play with. Not much after scenery, weather, RXP, Traffic, and addon aircraft are installed. Any advice? Thanks.

Hello and good night to everyone, a couple of minutes ago I was doing some night flying on P3D and noticed some strange issues while moving around in the VC from the B60 Duke from Real Air, however, i switched to the default Mooney plane and the issue persists, i took a couple of screenshots of it, this only happens during night flying... Has anyone else had it or experienced it? It also follows the camera too while panning on the VC, it also seems that this only happens while taxiing on default taxiways, wont show as frequent on add on airports (which have custom textures for taxiways). I am moving to P3d v4 and I am choosing a scenery setup. I read on Flight1 that Orbx Open LC works with GEXP3d. Has anyone used this or a similar combination? Thanks.

Hi, When I land my default Extra 300 sport plane taildragger during rollout it starts bouncing, and does not stop bouncing until A/C is completely stopped? Any idea how to fix? Bill Clark

I just used the v4 flight planner for the first time. Entered my airports, selected low altitude airways and.... there's no button to generate the flight! The only way to add additional waypoints is to drag the course line in the map view. Anybody else notice this? Am I missing something? Russ

Hello all, I'm debating a TCA Officer purchase as I'm really enjoying learning the FSL A320 and my current controllers are showing their age. My challenge is I also love flying the PMDG Boeings, Majestic Q400 and RealAir Dukes. Can anyone vouch that this work/get-along with the TCA hardware? I'm pretty sure I'll need to purchase FSUIPC and learning about it as well as part of this endeavour. I did consider a yoke/throttle setup instead but this is not an option. The desktop is shared with the family now and I was getting too much grief with the old yoke "being in the way" a few years ago. Choose your battles 🙂 Thanks in advance for your time! Dan

I am a user of V4.5 and previously had UTL. With UTL I was able to use the updated PrecipitFX contrails features for my AI. I made the switch over to AIG a few days ago but can’t seem to get PrecipitFX to work with this AI program. Has anyone using AIG gotten it to work? I’m in both the AIG, and //42 forums but no luck with any real help so far. Thanks

Hi having installed the ngxu into p3dv5 the latest airac isn’t showing up in the fmc I just get message nav data out of date,I downloaded the Navigraph data manager where it scanned my computer and several programs where found including pmdg the latest airac version was downloaded and installed,Asp3d and proatcx are fine only the ngxu I have a problem with,can someone point me to the folder where the ngxu airac is installed so I can check to see if the airac is installed and also set the path manually in the Navigraph data manager and try again.

This is somewhat of a rant, somewhat of a moan but also a plead i guess to devs that seem and i use the word seem in such a way that i can only assume this is the case from what i have seen in the last 6 or 7 months. So, I am shifting into Prepar3d V4 because the large majority of my addon planes are only optimized up to Vesion 4. Is it possible to self integrate these models to work correctly in Version 5 and if so how difficult is it? What would need to be edited or changed? Thanks.

Hello guys, i have a very annoying problem with my P3Dv4. When I change the views (it doesn't always happen) but most of the time, the simulator drops from 60fps to 3, and sometimes resolves by closing the chaseplane, or sometimes resolves just by closing the yes and reopening, someone has this problem and knows how ?

I have P3D v5.1 with hotfix1 and when I start P3D it crashes during startup. I last used the sim on Sunday and everything was working fine. I do have Milviz's Beale Air Force base scenery installed and that scenery uses the program AFLT for some lights. After P3D crashes I get a error message from AFLT. This is the error I am getting with AFLT Exception in DefWndProc ''Exception from HRESULT: 0xCOOOO14B (Ex Message: msg=0x402 hwnd=0x25058a wparam=0x0 Iparam=0x0 result-0x0) I hope someone can help me cause I am not sure what to do.

Hello there! I'm just wondering... When I press shift+1 while in the Aerosoft DC-8, I thought a 2D version of the main panel would pop up, but instead, the view tilts upwards. Does this happen to anyone else too? Viggo

I’am a320 first officer. I use Fslabs A320 X to study and practine abnormal procedures but now I’m upgraded to A330 and I need to study:) Do you have any advice ? Which flight simulator I can perform Ecam Action on A330 ?

My first buy with Justflight from 11/09/2011, $ 30.65, Battle of Brittain, Hurricane, installed today into P3D5.1 HF1, works like a dream, looks great. I also found a Spitfire: Spitfire Mk IV, 16/09/2012, Free, still works on todays platform My screenshots look half as good as the sim. Dan
