Hello, I am new to this forum so please apologize if I use the Topic. Currently I am a user of XPlane11 but I would like to switch to P3D due to the better planes and so on... So I've build a small button box for flight sim and wrote a Fly with Lua assignment script so I can use all my buttons, switches, rotary encoders properly. I have thePMDG-737 on m y computer as I was running FSX Now I switch to Prpepar 3d and I wonder how can I install the 737 I am trying since a couple of days but no resiult. Can anyone help ? Thank you Paul12

Hi all, I've noticed a slightly odd issue with my copy of P3D on startup which I thought I'd throw out in case anyone has had a similar issue. Essentially I have a desktop shortcut for P3D with the compatability settings set to start the sim as Administrator, which would seem simple enough. However on a number of occasions I have started my sim only to check a few minutes later to see the splash screen has vanished. It turns out that when using this short-cut to start P3D it crashes to desktop on startup shortly after opening Chaseplane. Just throwing this out there. There is a great short trip from Saltzburg (LOWS) to Innsbruck (LOWI) which takes you through the mountains and into and along a valley. Great for VFR flying, sitting at about 3000ft. 😎

If I have to pay for v5 versions then I may just stick with v4.5. After having not flown P3D since September, I decided that I wasn't able to do what I wanted to do in the "other" simulator and came back to P3Dv5. And this isn't one of those "versus" threads. My needs are pretty specific: I am training for my instrument rating in real life, and I had basically a perfect setup in P3D. I need a non-G1000 Garmin glass cockpit and a real, functional GTN750. And with the RXP750 and the just phenomenal Alabeo PA44 with the G600, I am in business! My training philosophy is that in real life, I fly a Cherokee 180 with the GTN750 and dual G5s. Can't get the G5s in P3D (at least not in the panel), so the G600 will do just fine. All I really …

Does anybody know if TropicalSim is still in business? I have sent them emails for support and FB messages with no response. I am having trouble with the P3D version of KABQ -- no jetways are showing. I have tried reinstalling and following religiously their SODE instructions (moved the files where they need to go) and still no luck. I don't think it is a SODE problem since there are no red 'Xs' where the jetways go. Just nothing. Gate numbers and the remainder of KABQ show up fine. SODE works fine in other airports. Many thanks! I have recently purchased the Simshaker Jetpad for greater immersion, based on many positive reviews. When I however use Simshaker for Aviators together with the Jetpad (and the A2A 172) in p3d (v5.1) the result is quite frankly pretty underwhelming. The vibration effects are quite strong and mostly seem of an on/off nature instead of subtle changes when for example taxiing fast or more slowly. Does anyone here have any experience in using Simshaker in P3D? And if so, could they perhaps share their Simshaker settings or some guidance in how to use the Simshaker for Aviators software properly with the Simshaker Jetpad? Flying PMDG 777-300 EGLL to KSFO, I am just over Canada and the GSX 'Pushback in Progress' box with 'Interrupt pushback?' keeps popping up. I have to right click and close the window but it keeps coming up. Coincidentally I can'y access the ActiveSky dialog box or ATC box (ATC is frozen). Is this a known issue? Thanks

Did LM update the default FSX SP2 scenery detail at all as of Versions 4 and 5 or is it all basically the same?

I have various Orbx products installed (Global, Vector, North America and PNW) for use while running P3D (v4,5). Just recently my V4 has started playing up - sometimes it will CTD whilst loading up whereas other times it will load and run fine. However if I try and do anything within the sim whilst it's running such as change airport, tweak a graphic setting, reset or end a scenario, it is hanging and then CTD to desktop (I get a message saying P3D is not responding). It has been working fine without any issues for months - I encountered similar problems (as did many others it appears) when Nvidia released a new driver. As a result of those issues, I rolled back my driver to the version I was previously using without any problems - 461.92. However I am still having the CTD issu…

hello to all and all I have a problem with the GSX in P3D V5 with the latest hotfix. It turns out and it happens that this error or bug happens to me in 5 out of 10 flights that I do I am an airport of origin ZZZZ I select the pushback when it ends with the brakes on the tug is disconnected because I have deactivated the confirmation of engine start because it was also me generating blockage that I will mention below. Hi, folks. I need some clarification from those who have a drive dedicated to P3D (including the main folder). Since your OS is on another drive, you wouldn't lose all P3D data after a new windows installation, for example. However, how you make the sim work again? Cause all the information on temp folders, app data, and registry entries would be erased. Is best to keep the main P3D folder on the same windows drive and just put the addons on a separate drive? I'm asking all this cause I want to optimize the writing cycles on the SSD I'm planning to buy.

Purchased both today. Quite impressed with the GLJ. I have the venerable Flysimware 35 but the prototype is quite “snappy”. Very pleased so far. FYI, the Milviz WX RADAR work quote well in the Flysimware 35 in case you were curious. -Braun

I have the Aerosoft Twin Otter working in P3Dv4.5 HF2 but am trying to shift to v5 HF2. Has anyone gotten the Twotter working in v5 HF2? If so, what if anything did you have to do after installing it into v5 (v4 installer not set up to do install to Add-Ons folder which is what I would prefer). Thanks, Stephen

Hi Everyone, I have posted this issue in the ORBX Forum, but believe there is some expertise here that may not check in there. I have downloaded and installed suggested C++ and related files to the best of my understanding. But, frankly, this is way above my paygrade. Here is my problem. I am running W10 20H2 OS BUILD 19042 964. I have excluded ORBX central from both Malwarebytes and Window Defender. Nothing I have done has helped. While I wait for some more assistance at ORBX, I am wide open to ideas and suggestions from the experts here. Thank you! Sherm

The labels for airplanes (online) show as black boxes. I tried all possible options on the information screen, display options, change Nvidia driver, clear shaders ..… no luck All other info on the screen is perfectly readable Using Prepar3d v 5.1

First flight back in v5 since September, and for whatever reason I can't set custom weather. I went to enter a cloud layer, and when I type in a number in the first box for the bottoms and then click the next box to put in the tops, the first box reverts right back to 0. It will let me set a cloud layer from 0 to 1 feet, but that's not very realistic for IFR flight! Any ideas? Sim is fully updated to 5.1. Thanks!
