This is a very serious P3D V5.2 bug. I took the approach of uninstalling and updating the client, content, and scenery from 5.1HF1 to 5.2 and SDK. I have reported it to Prepar3D , but no feedback. the Volumetric Clouds hide some terrain in some viewing angles. if any good ways to fix it , i will tell there .

I'm sure this is a basic question but I'm moving from v4.5. As much as I'd like to use EA, when it is enabled (even with volumetric clouds at 0), I have a terrible blue tint and haze. As much as I've worked on settings I haven't found a way to compensate for this. Would someone help me, or is this inherent to Enhanced Atmospherics? If so, why would anyone use it? Thanks!!

I uninstalled the old client and installed the new one as per the instructions. Now the sim won't show, not even the set up screen. I look in Processes and it says it is running but I see no sign of it anywhere. Anyone else has this problem?

While trying to get an issue sorted concerning access to Flight1's GTN Complete forum I thought I'd ask the question here.... Just set up a small touch screen monitor and it seems to be working fine except with the F1 GTN Complete. The product description says the GTN Complete is touch-screen compatible but do I have to enable it in some setup menu somewhere? I looked in GTN setup as well as in the GTN config utility but found no mention of touch screen. Also looked through the user manual without success. Surely I must be missing something. If anyone is running the GTN on a touch screen I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right dir…

Hi, Did a complete uninstall and reinstalled 5.2 from scratch. When toggling through the ctrl-z menus, it eventually freezes and will not toggle anymore. IE getting stuck at fps+vram, or speed/altitude, and refusing to change "mode". Anyone experienced this?

I know this has been asked and answered before but can't find the reference. Question is, does replacing the Content affect my addons or will I have to reinstall them? I have many addon planes and would hate to have to reinstall them all. Thanks. Jim

I had to learn this the hard way... having a slow internet connection, I really resisted the Content update. But, as others have said: A "Client only" update in this case leads to bad performance 😉 So, uninstall the Client, uninstall the Content, delete the Shaders. Install the 5.2. Client, install the 5.2. Content.. and go fly! Also, EA Volumetric Clouds on Low is not good, either OFF or HIGH. (They do look nice on HIGH!)

Hi, Question: 5.2 send at every restart the Questions: "Enable add-on: " name of scenery"? ( more then on scenery ) hot to fix that. it does no matter if i run the sim as administrator. the question cames on every restart from 5.2 thanks, thomas

During the last few months I was mainly flying airliners in P3D. For GA I was flying the other popular sim. Now with P3Dv5.2 and a new GPU I gave P3D GA flying another try. With most settings on Ultra and flying over augmented scenery (ORBX TE or FTX) I had some really nice flights. For example, starting at PAVD with A2A's C172 equipped with a GTN750 was a stunning experience: sharp and detailed mountains (no morphing), nice terrain, awesome clouds and weather (EA on) ... overall very immersive. Well done LM. I hope that the present EA issues will be addressed in near future. But for now it was already acceptable for me. Thanks @GSalden for your VolumetricClouds.cfg.

Hi Guys, Looking for a little advice on settings in P3Dv4.5,I currently upgraded my PC and before i start pushing the sliders all the way to the right, just asking what would be the best settings for my set up,thanks in advance. Hey all, not sure if its just me but since 5.2 my GPU is constantly on 100% load. I dont saw this in 5.1. Even on a scenery in the bush, 100% GPU load. BR

on vatsim i can't see live traffic only offline traffic like i am not seeing flying on vatsim.the matching just going perfect on vpilot client i have 800 and plus model. how i can do solved. thanks to all for help

Hi all, Anybody seen evidence of improved VRAM management - avoiding hung errors/CTD etc.? I usually use v 4.5 - can just run FSL A320 with textures turned down with 5.1 but not always reliably with my 6B card in 4K. Anyone else seen improvements - particularly if using a 6GB card? PS would an 8GB card from my friend improve matters a lot with respect to P3D vram? Cheers, Rudy

Hello all! Still getting settled into P3D and finding stable settings, having come from FS2004. Currently I'm on the hunt for a weather engine. I own FSRealWX as that is what FS2004 used, but it seems there are better options with P3D. with EA enabled, how does Active Sky do? is it worth the 40 euros? I'm still trying to find stable settings with EA to not crash my sim all the time, so if I switch back to the old style clouds, how will that do? youtube seems to give me videos from 2016/17 and I kind of want to see something with P3Dv5.1/2. thanks!

I'm using now Rex Skyforce (Clouds / Textures) and Active Sky for my P3Dv5.2. One question: Do I need to install cloud models from Rex or does it this themselves depending on weather conditions (Provided from Active Sky)? what about sky / sun and moon? EA on / Volumetric clouds off Which settings do you guys use for Active Sky, REX and P3D? Regards Urmel

So Amazon UK just sent me an email to say the Honeycomb Alpha Throttle I ordered almost a year ago has been dispatched, and will arrive tomorrow. I checked my bank account and the funds have been taken so hopefully it really is on the way, and they don't cancel the order on the supposed delivery day like they did a few months ago with the Airbus Officer Pack sidestick and throttle. Happy days if it arrives. 😃

My PMDG Operations centre keeps returning a message saying that it cannot reach the PMDG servers - try again later. It has been like this for 3 days now, and I have been unable to find any reference to this outage in the forums that I have checked. Does anybody know what is going on and/or how to resolve the issue?

Has anyone else noticed that V5 uses a crazy amount of vRam even on high end setups while running very minimal addons? I’m running an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super with 8gb and I’ve never ever come close to running out, yet I’ve crashed 3 times in the last few hours with various Nvidia errors about running out of memory.

Hello, to my fellow prepar3d v 5.2 flight simmer pilots, from Ron Kolesar. I just performed the following. I made sure that there wasn't any of my flying programs installed on my pc. Second of all, I down loaded p3d v5.2. Third of all, I opened up and extracted p3d v5.2. I then went to the bottom and clicked on the install.exe file. It installed with no issues. I was able to plug in both my license info and my assigned password info with no issue. It unlocked AKA registered my copy of p3d v5.2 with no issues. Sp. I thought that maybe, just maybe, with the updated version ins…

Normally I undock windows via Panelstore to two extra displays. After update to 5.2 the first screen works fine but the second screen which has PFD does not respond. When I undock it ti the main screen it works, but when I drag it it to third screen it show PFD but does not update info on it (like screenshot) When I unplug the display adapter and put it back in it works fine again! Any ideas? Solutions?

Hi All, I've been doing some searching but struggling to get a clear indication. One thing I do love about the FSLabs A320 is the way it interacts so well with GSX. Pax start boarding a set time, catering occurs via the FMC and the jetway docks on command after arrivial - all without actually requring me to actually call up GSX. So, are there any other aircraft of decent quality that do similar? I know PMDG don't (seems the two lads at each don't get along particularly well). But what about the TFDI 717, Maddog, Majestic etc? Cheers,

Shift + z does not toggle the coords, gpu usage, fps etc on. Also Alt enter doesn't toggle full screen. Both issues since V5.2
