Yes, I know we have this forum. I feel there are plenty here that could answer my question. But what I see a lot. If you post your question, in what you perceive may be the appropriate forum, it may not be viewed too much. Hence, your question doesn't get much views. Or it will get a ton of views, but no answer. I've noticed in several of the more obscure sections of the forums...particularly the dev stuff, it may go weeks to see an answer to a post if any. Before I contact LM to request it, I was wandering if someone in the know may be able to answer this question or comment on whether it would be possible or indeed useful for others. I want to know if it would be possible to add a menu item to change between unlimited fps and a set value fps that has been set in the P3D display options. This could then be assigned to a button or key (similar to the delete shaders function) which would make it much easier to change between fixed and unlimited fps without having to go into the menus or leave the live graphics window open on the screen (which looks unrealistic) and have to use the mouse. Hello, I would like to load up P3D on my main monitor, and then move it to my second monitor after the app has finished loading. The reason for this, is that my yoke is in front on my second monitor, as I don't want it to be blocking my main one. It's also easier to set up the flight without having to reach around a yoke. The problem is that most of the times when I attempt to drag the maximized P3D window from the first monitor to the second, the screen freezes, and I am unable to click on anything or move the screen, although the app seems to still be running. Does anyone happen to have found a way around this by any chance?

I purchased Aspen Extended for P3Dv4,5...and it worked very well. I now have P3Dv5.1 and I tried it,but there were huge wall looking things all over the runway. I sent a report to Aerosoft....and they informed me that this software would not work in P3Dv5 !! In the last couple of days I have been watching several real cockpit vids on YT. I remarked that when they fly at 5000 ft all houses, trees and objects on the ground are very small. In P3D at 5000 ft houses, trees and objects look 2x too large. If I check WidevieW Aspect I have to zoom till 0.70 to get about the same look as I see in the real cockpit vids. However, with WidevieW Aspect set to True the sides are stretched and using the Manage Cameras menus with WidevieW correction does only solve this from 1,00 and upwards. Imho the FOV needs to be smaller than what P3D shows. So objects in the distance need to be further away without bringing too…

I install on my machine the P3D V5.2, and B737 NGXu Aircraft. But when i' setting up the FMC, suddenly, the simulator frozen, and on title of the window appears: Prepar3D v5 (Not Responding) The sound plays like nothing happened. Was pretty simple on the Nvidia NC. The AMD drivers (Adrenalin) have this "chill" option with min/max frames but it seems to work differently and using it would induce stutters on my system. Currently I'm capped at 60 through Vsync but that's a bit high and micro stuttering will occur when moving away from 30 multiples ( i.e 30 fps feels smoother than 40-45). Long story short, is there an effective way to lock frames on AMD cards other than "chill"?

I found their news distro in my email today. Does it mean some significant improvement has been achiedved overall in their latest update? I'm watching this development for practical reasons, when/if their 733 becomes quite enjoyable I'll buy it. Please share your thoughts on the latest status of their B733. Thanks.

Just about to complete a flight from VTBS to EGLL, been flying for almost 13 hours, switch to 'over the wing' view and the whole sim hangs...it's been non-responsive for nearly five minutes now (eventually came back to life). Is this genuinely how we're expected to use the sim now...not change views? I notice that the longer I go without changing views, the longer the hang or freeze is when I eventually do. Also, the ATC window appears but doesn't work at all. I can't select anything from it (even though I can see the selections available). Are we expecting LM to fix this ASAP? I purchased this add-on as an "early access" offering 21 months ago. Since that time there have been many promised new features but only one small update and that was about a year ago. The aircraft in its present state is unflyable and there has been no support on the developer's website. (His last entry on his own forum was last summer.) His frequent presence on another website for developers indicates that he is deeply involved in another project unrelated to the add-on for which he has collected payments--the Vega. hi community, everything went fine with about 30 FPS until a week ago. But since a few days I start P3D v4.5 and as soon as I unclick PAUSE, FPS drop to 8 !!? and no flying is possible anymore. I did not change anything inside the PC, same settings as last week. I checked WIN10 updates, Defender settings, Performance (CPU 20%, GPU 30% standing at a gate, so a lot of room for calculations), deselected any frame-killer like UTliveTraffic, GSX, GSX2 and so on, but the frames per second stay around 8. When pressing PAUSE again, the FPS rise to around 30 ! What can be the reason ? Did you encounter this weird situation before ? Thanks for any idea

P3D has been updated to 5.2. First of all, let's talk about PC space, 1080ti+9900K+32G memory, all of which have been properly overclocked. LEBB airport using Orbx closed dynamic vehicles and characters, using fslabs A320, the weather was cloudy and rainy. The shader has been cleaned up. The maximum viewing distance on the ground is 69 miles, and the maximum viewing distance in the air is 199 miles. I use ASCA for the traditional cloud, and the cloud resolution is 1024*1024 DXT. Hi, I’ve recently bought p3dv5 and installed it on my main SSD, on which I only have 160gb of space remaining (my xplane and windows are installed on this drive too). So I’ve been wondering if I should reinstall p3d in my 2tb HDD or if the 100 gb are enough for the sim. Would the loading and performance hit be large on the HDD? thanks

I just spotted this today, and thought I'd try it out. I've pretty much abandoned P3D since MSFS arrived - I got 5.0 when it came out and was both impressed and disappointed at the same time. It seemed able to run stuff like TrueEarth at high settings where v4 had struggled (to put it politely), but it was still full of stutters and pauses on my system (in sig). 5.1 didn't improve matters either. I have very much gotten in to MSFS now, and much prefer it for my own style of simming, but I had been thinking about all the aircraft I would never see again sitting in my P3D hangar. Dear all, I've been reading all @SteveW´s posts regarding Affinity Mask in P3D v4.5. I've finally understood that, while HT off + no AM would be easier to setup, HT on with an adequate AM will yield better results. Also, I understand I need to send my addons (namely PF3 and ActiveSky) to the last core. For my laptop (i5-8300H, 4 cores, 8 threads), I have no option but leaving AM on. According to this post from SteveW, AM=85 (for reproducing HT off) is a good value, and AM=245 (leave Core0 and Core1 with only 1 LP for P3D) is even better.
