PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    Can anyone tell me if the NGX shares the same navdata and sidstar data with other PMDG products e.g. B744? I’ve added the VHHX procedures to the PMDG NavData including sidstars and it works fine with the B744. With the NGX It will allow me to input the airport into the FMC but will not show either of the runways or any of the procedures.Thanks

    First off, I wanted to say hello to everyone. I have used this forum to find answers to many questions I have with my flight simming. However, I have encountered a problem which I can find zero information about. I have searched the forums and the net for hours and have found nothing. Recently FSX has started to randomly freeze during flights. It also now freezes and crashes at exit 100% of the time. Normally a crash at exit would not bother me but I am certain these two problems are linked. Every time the freezes/crashes occur are when I am usung the PMDG 737 NGX.     Hello everyone. I have recently upgraded to a great pc and can run FSX:SE and The ngx amazingly. So the problem I am having is when I install liveries from the pmdg ops center. The plane doesn't work. If I load the plane up with a default PMDG livery. Everything works great. Loads up systems and everything. But if I use the other liveries the plane loads but plane is in a cold and dark state with no click spots. Also with a black box over the secondary PFD and heading indicator next to the NAV display. To add another weird thing. The only livery that actually works is the United merger for the 738WL. Any other downloaded livery does the dead plane thing. Any ide…

    Help. Despite following guides and successfully getting through PMDG start up procedures - with all FMC failures set to off - I get a low pressure warning on one engine? As I am slowly learning start up from cold - I wonder whether it is the time taken for me to configure the aircraft that is causing the issue? I got to successully push back - started one engine, only to find when I tried to start the second engine I get a low pressure warning - any advice gratefully received? Equally I appear to have somehow lost my default Cold and Dark Panel state - any idea how I reinstate- or install? George

    I have been off line for about 9 months but now back into flying...primary a/c was always PMDG 737. For whatever reason there is no blue/brown artificial horizon on the primary pfd. The outboard ribbons are there but no blue/brown horizon and graduations. It is black. but there is an ATT displayed on the middle. Any advice on how to get it back to normal? I have searched the web extensively but cannot find how to fix this...believe you used to be able to change display modes on the primary. Thanks in advance.

    Goodday Gentleman, Trust you are well. Maybe this is to my own stupidty ado, but I really need some guidance here. I have been seeing this problem a few times now.... Today I approached FAOR on the STV1C arrival for ILS03R. The arrival has a constraint of 8000' at JS017. My 737 just ignored the constraint and tagged along. The Vertical Profile on the descent showed that we are descending perfect and we have no serious deviations. This is not the first time that I am experiencing this, basically constantly.... am I missing something?     I started having a problem when loading the 737 in P3d. The airplane loads but while normally i need to wait 15 seconds to initialize now i don't get that at all. Looks like is ready off the bat however not functional: the cockpit is dead, the engines are on (which is weird), the battery switch is set to ON (normally is dark and cold) and i cannot pull up the FMC with shift 3. Pretty much no switch is operational. I did uninstall FSX and the PMDG for it but this should have not affected the P3d one. Any suggestions. A repair through the installer did not fix the problem. thank you

    Hi, I have (re) downloaded the -800 WL Ryanair repaint (EI-EFY) through the OC, but I see that there are mistakes in the configuration, such as the analog standby instruments (that can be easily changed into ISFD), but above all the pax number, that is 174 while the real one is 189. In the aircraft.cfg file I read 189 anyway, why does the FMC say 174? Is there a way to change it to 189? Thanks.

    So I'm having an issue with my NGX. Usually, if I start a flight with my engines running and fly a flight plan, if I stop and save my flight then go back and load it, everything is fine. My flight plan and panel is active and I can fly the rest of the way. HOWEVER, if I start up cold and dark and save my flight, when I load the flight the cockpit is dead and I simply fall out of the sky. I can't even press any buttons or anything. It's really frustrating because saving my game and reloading is a huge part in trying to avoid OOM's. I usually save it right before decent so I don't OOM coming into the airport.     I use SIMstarter NG and all of my downloaded &NGX liveries are available to setup profiles. However when I load FSX and look for a livery, say Virgin Australia, all that appear to be available are the PMDG House liveries. Where are the others? Neil Bradley

    Hi, I am now in the end phase of my PMDG B737 NGX Home Cockpit building/ interface development. One of the last items to interface to the hardware is the YAW DAMPER gauge. But, I can't find any "YAW DAMPER needle" variable in the latest SDK version ( the one that came with the SP1D). I have searched the forum, but haven't found any info about it. Is it not in SDK? Is it simulated in the 3D/2D cockpit view at all? Did PMDG forget it, or did they left it out for any purpose?

    Hi guys, Two questions regarding the NGX: 1) The ALTN DEST page - if I put in alternate into the ALTN DEST page, select via Missed Approach, the page shows the correct number of miles to go (i.e. miles to destination, then miles to alternate). However, the fuel remaining does not seem accurate. For example, if you input the origin as an alternate while flying to your destination, it basically seems to predict you burning about half of what it would take to get back. Has anyone else noticed these fuel values are out? 2) 2500 callout - I have it said to sound "RADIO ALTIMTER" but I think I have only heard it once or twice the whole time I've been using the NG…

  21. Hello all. Name is Jeff and im having a issue with the angels of camera off in PMDG 737..... Fresh new hd install running win.7 pro and using Prepar 3d. all is a new fresh install. the new update to P3d has screwed everything up in the way of viewing. it like cameras are mounted crooked and when i look out window plane appears to have flat tires on the right side, and all other window camera angles are off.. anyone one else having this issue and is there a fix this photo is in PMDG 737-600 2d panel and zoom at 92% to even look close this is a 3d panel zoom at 40% Jeff

    Hi I'm trying to find right balance for NGX in AS16 configuration. Would anyone who is using this software be able to share the settings? I am currently using 35 Wake turbulence (default: 50) and 70 wind turbulence (default 100) as it seems that anything above that makes the aircraft go wild when autopilot is ON. Enhanced turbulence OFF. I posted this on PMDG forum as I think that here I'll be able to find best advice from 737 drivers.

If ( and we all know its a big if ) Lockheed Martin releases a 64bit version of P3D in 2017, will PMDG then support the 737 in the 64bit version as stated with the 777 ?     I've been putting together a circuit in Alaska mirroring some Alaskan Airlines routes (PAJN-PASI-PAKT-PAJN). It looks like ASA flies a proprietary SID (RODMN1) out of PAJN, so the next best thing is the JNU5 SID I can find on airnav.com (http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1613/01191JUNEAU.PDF). So, my question is how would the computers be setup to fly this SID? Effectively, it's a quick turn after takeoff from either runway to intercept the backcourse localizer to RWY 8. The backcourse is my dilemma. The NG's don't seem to be particularly set up to fly a back course. I can fly the back course manually (I usually fly a departure up to about 10k by hand anyway), but in…
