I own and have installed the 737 600, and 800 from PMDG for MSFS 2024. Have had the 600 and 800 for a while. I installed the 700 variant today. I created a flight in MSFS 2024 and proceeded past the Ready to Fly and jumped into the cockpit. I set Cold and Dark for startup and panel state via the FMC. This is supposed to create an options ini file in the Work folder located in Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekybed8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\pmdg-aircraft-737\work folder. There is an options ini file in the 736 and 738 folders so I could set the data broadcast. Anyone have a clue why this file is not created for the new 700 aircraft?

	Hey everyone

I have been flying the a320 family for a while now, and have managed to learn its systems and characteritsics, also kinda smooth landings. But in the 738 my landings are so hard, no matter what I do. I flare 30ft agl just like in the airbus, but the aircraft behaves much differently.

Question one would be: are the Vref speeds set automatically by the aircraft? ( I mean with flaps 30 I always get around 150kts(+5kts wind correction or even more) and this seems a lot)

Question two would be: when do I stop trimming? So basically when Im established and disengage CMD, do I just input by force, and not trim? ( In the bus it stops the autotrim in LAND mode (400ft agl))

So yeah, I think this could be the reason why the aircraft behaves so weird when flaring, because I word not allowed up the trim of it + high approach speed.

But I only have about 80hrs in flight simming, so if someone knows better or even the answer to my question, I would greatly appreciate that.

	Cheers, clear skies!

	Dear PMDG User Community,

I am writing this request for help here first rather than requesting support or opening a ticket on PMDG's forum, as I've had good experience of responsive and helpful replies when I've needed to ask for advice here before.

So, since the last PMDG update (3.0.112) my 737-800NGX, after seeming to load perfectly into an airport, is completely invisible except for the external lights. I've tried reinstalling the 737-800, but no change. I also installed Boris's sounds, but it is invisible both with and and without them, so I doubt it's the sounds that's doing this.

Any tips, hints or other advice anyone has, especially those who may have had similar issues with a PMDG plane, would be very gratefully received.

	Thanks in advance!

I couldn't even get it to go direct to the airport using the FIX page. I only got 10k hours in this thing, you would think I would know this by now.

Hi there,

I am running Prepar3d 1.4 on a 3 monitor set up Eyefinity - I have the PMDG 737 NGX working all fine and I have just installed FS2Crew to use with it.

Slight problem is that I need to switch to the 2D cockpit to get FS2Crew working - when I do I get no panel and then when I switch back the mouse just flickers and frame rates drop. I know that there are many posts about this and that changes need to be made to the panel.cfg file - I don't really know how to do this. Can someone perhaps send me an updated panel.cfg file to copy in so I can use the 2D cockpit without these issues? Or give me instructions (basic and simple please!) to change the settings so I can get this working?

Flying the 737-800 today and during the descent/approach phase I get a loud horn. I thought it might be an stall warning, but I'm not getting a stick shaker. My other thought is that maybe the 737 doesn't like my flap settings in relation to the airspeed, but I'm well within the ranges according to the chart.

I also questioned the flaps because the speed tape only shows UP, 1 & 5, even though I'm close to VRef on approach and should be landing with 30 degrees.

I didn't see a warning light and eventually the sound ceased, but I it occurred and ceased again later on.

	Any thoughts?

i was looking in the ground maintenance page in the CDU, i saw a "reset eng egt" function. but that didn't do anything! i bought the pmdg 777 a few days ago. but i have the same problem already!

is it an maintenance problem? or is are something whit my airplane codes?

Hello all simmers!

First of all i want to congratulate PMDG and HiFi for the outstanding work with the Active Sky next and PMDG 737ngx, two amazing products which brings the sim experience to a whole new level of realism.

although i have a question considering Active Sky Next windshear warning and the PMDG 737ngx windshear warning. As we all know they dont sound the same, and in this video

you can clearly hear the PMDG 737ngx windshear warning go off. I've read many topics about this on different forums and they all came out with the same conclusion, its not possible for the NGX to trigger the windshear warning due to FSX limitations. The only question in my head remains, how did this person in the video get the original NGX warning when encountering a microburst in Active Sky Next. I tried to uncheck the "Play windshear aural alert" option in the Active Sky Next program to see if the warning would sound in the NGX without results, anyone got a clue?

Cheers!

Yesterday I flew with the PMDG 737-900 from EDDM to EDDP. The localizer was successfully activated during the approach. Then successfully caught the glideslope. Frequencies were set correctly on both NAVs. The two course selectors were also set correctly. The ILS was also displayed in the PFD. Both CMDs were switched on. VREF was also set correctly to 30/150, so overall everything was in the green zone.

After the glideslope was held correctly up to about 500ft AGL, the aircraft suddenly started to level off and slowly but surely left the glideslope. The course was still held. The glideslope was not left frantically or anything. It just very slowly stopped holding it. I then switched off the autopilot and was just able to land manually.

What I also noticed beforehand was that at some point after the ILS was established, a small yellow text box appeared below the FMA and to the right of the ILS display in the PFD. Unfortunately, I couldn't read exactly what it said and it went away again after a few seconds.

I can't understand why this happened. I have now flown at least 50 approaches with the PMDG 737-900 and this has never happened before.

/edit: Could it be that I was simply going too fast?
How does the PMDG 737 react if the selected speed on the MCP is too far away from IAS? Is the speed then accepted and the glideslope maintained, or does the autopilot automatically leave the glideslope at some point to reduce the speed?

Hello everyone, I tried to google this one but it seems like I'm the only person with this issue.

I recently bought a T16000M FMC HOTAS for msfs. I've set it up as best as I could for my fitting but with PMDG 737 I'm getting the weirdest bug.
I've mapped "Hold throttle reverse thrust" to a button so when I hold it and move the throttle forward reverse thrust engages. The issue is - it just won't disengage. When the plane is slowed down I get the throttle to idle and let go of the "hold reverse" button. Afterwards the plane stops and when I want to taxi the throttles are completely unresponsive. I can't even increase thrust on keyboard or by clicking the throttles with a mouse. What I can do is go full reverse thrust again and that's it.

While taxiing in reverse sounds very interesting, it's not exactly what I want to do. Anyone has any idea what I can change to fix this?

Hi captains,

Just have a little question about the ISA DEV / QNH entry in the FMC's forecast page. I am not entirely sure on what are correct values to enter here.

So I was flying in to LOWI today. Weather was: wind 160/8, temp 18, QNH 1019.

As far as I understand from the tutorial flight, ISA is 15C at 0 ft ASL, correct? Ryan explained in the tutorial flight how to calculate the ISA tempature for other altitudes. The formula for this is: 15 - ( (altitude / 1000) x 2 ) . So in this case, airport elevation was 1900 ft, so: 15 - ( (1900 / 1000) x 2 ) = 15 - ( 1.9 x 2 ) = 15 - 3.8 = 11.2C. So ISA for 1900 is 11.2C

ISA DEV = actual air tempature - ISA tempature = 18 - 11.2 = 6.8C.

So, ISA DEV = 6.8, rounding that up makes it 7C

Not sure if this is correct...

For QNH I just assume I've got to enter the local QNH level of 1019 HPA?

So then for the ISA DEV / QNH field I enter: 7 / 1019.

Correct?
