PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

In the last few days I've been experiencing sudden and rapid uncommanded nose dive in excess of 5000 FPM with either VNAV or APP engaged. Happened twice during descend, final approach and once in climb (three separate flights, PC rebooted in between). AP follows FD bars (!) during this dive (so rather it is "commanded nose dive"). Following AP disconnect and subsequent engagement, aircraft follows normal vertical path. I have service-based failures engaged, but they show no active failures. I'm very experienced user of PMDG B737NGX, so I doubt this is caused by mismanagement on my behalf. Has anyone experienced something of this nature too? Thanks

I love this aircraft and have flown it for several years on FSX. Now I have aquired Prepar3D and wonder if I must purchase this addon again - it looks so on the webb site - or is there any reduction for FSX owners? John

Hi All, Quick backstory - long time PMDG user - just before Christmas bought a new PC dedicated to flight sim. The only sim ever to be installed in it is FSX:SE, and the only aircraft addon currently is the PMDG 737NGX. I also have MyTraffic6 instaleld Using the Op Centre, I have attempted adding liveries, and while they show up as installed in Op Centre, AND show up correctly in the aircraft.cfg file, they will not appear in FSX:SE...except for the 600 series...for some reason I could get that one to work with a Westjet livery. Good evening, One question please. During start up of engines in 737, the FCOM v1, page 216 says that Engine Bleed Air Switches must be selected to On but if I select On position my duct press is near 0 and no pressure for starting engine. Could you please tell if that is wrong, manual is wrong or if I am doing something wrong. I set APU bleed on, packs Off, recirc fans auto and isolation valve open. Getting crazy about this issue. Hi everyone, because of VAS limitations I have gotten used to saving the flight a few NM before TD and reloading it in order not to worry about a potential OOM during approach. This has worked great for me especially with PMDG aircraft (I have all of the big three - 737, 777 and 747 v3). But over the past month I have encounterd a problem in the 737, both with the FSX version and the P3D one. Today for example I flew from KJFK to KSLC in P3D V3.4 and after I saved my flight and reloaded, some strange things happend. Hello pilots! So i am using the latest P3D v3 version with the latest NGX P3D version. It seems that the textures, especially the textures on the ND, PDF displays are unsharp. I am unable to read for instance the airports and waypoints on the ND. Any idea how i can fix this? Thanks mates!

Hello from Germany, and apologize for my bad Google English Since my change to P3D, I have with the PMGD 737 the problem that on Stock-Airports the landlights and taxilights the floor not sufficiently illuminate. In the Aerosoft Airbus & A2A C172 is not the problem, the Spotlight.BMP I have already exchanged but it was not. I am now about a year in P3D on the way, to begin with only the Airbus. Therefore, the problem is only noticeable later, and the day it is not so the PMDG 737 the ground is not sufficiently illuminated. I am trying to find this visual add on that i saw not too long ago in a video and that I cannot find again, I will try to explain it...what the video was showing was this special visual effects where when flying in to a cloud, upon hitting the windshield, you could see cloud material sliding/flowing super fast on the windshield as opposed to just disappear. NGX climbs out to 1,500 to 2,000 FT MSL at V2+20 then stops accelerating just above stall speed (about 193 KTS indicated). All systems are nominal including TAT, N1, N2 and all control surfaces. No warnings, alarms or changes in the O/H panel. To continue the climb I have to bring up FSUICP and select OK. Hello good night. Always flying during the day and didn't realise about this. Or maybe is because my PC is a new one. Is this how it is supposed to be? I can't find the way for uploading the screenshot. I am refering to small black and grey dots all over the cockpit texture. Without light is not there but when fllod light is increasing, the dots are there. It seems that the cockpit is made by carbon material. Thanks very much. Xiropillo

Hi all, I just bought and downloaded PMDG 737 NGX for P3D and after installing it I can't even start P3D any more - I just get a "Fatal Error". I tried to reboot - no change. Then uninstall and reboot again - no change - I can still not start P3D even after I removed the product. Then I reinstalled it and of course same problem still. Everything was working perfectly before installing this product and the only other plane I had added to my P3D was the Aerosoft A320-bundle of planes and they worked very nicely. I'm on Windows 10 64-bit and P3D v. 3.4. Ole Dantoft Copenhagen Right by EKCH.

Hi, After years of flying 737NGX without major problems I now have a big one. Activating the HUD, it flips down but I can't get it up again. However, the worst is that nothing in the cockpits works anymore with the mouse. All is locked up. With the hardware MCP, it works well. How to fix things? PS: using beta ChasePlane. Frans

Hallo all, I'm facing a new problem with my 737. I have switched from FSX Boxed to FSX SE since 3-4 months now and never had any freezes or crashes or other errors since then. Basicaly I was very pleased with the switch. On 15.03 I flew my 737 with Air Berlin livery from LDZA to LWSK (VATSIM event). All was fine till I had to hit TOGA due to a miss approach on LWSK. ~20s on my GA and my CDU freezes, 4s after CDU frz., FSX freezes too. Waited for about 1min. and nothing happened. Had to appologize to ATC and was very frustrated ending my flight like that. Yesterday I reflew the route only to land that thing and performed intentionally again a GA. What happe…

I currently always start my NGX up in a cold and dark state, but I'm aware that pilots almost never enter an aircraft in a cold and dark state. I was wondering what is the most common panel state in the real world for a pilot entering the cockpit, whats on and what isn't? Also, if there are any real world WN pilots could provide details, that would be great too!

Hello guys, I just shortly purchased the PMDG (few months now) and have a problem following the Tutorial #2 flight. It seems I am unable to do any of the FMC reprogramming that is presented in this tutorial ADVANCED FMC ROUTE MODIFICATIONS, so no direct shortcuts, no offsets, no anything. I also didn't found any of these problems covered in this forum. Will be glad if someone had a solution to this since I would like to use at least some of these features, like the offset path to get arround bad weather cells. Thank you. Best regards, Gerald

Hi guys! I have a quick question about the 737 believe it or not! I've been making some tutorials as you well know and I'm far more familiar with the real thing then PMDG. I've noticed that in VNAV you sometimes get VNAV ALT and I'm not too sure what it is trying to do. After some digging I found out this is optional extra fitted by Boeing and definitely not fitted to our fleet or Level D sims. Is there a way in the FMC settings of PMDG to deactivate it or if someone could explain what it is trying to do that would be greatly appreciated! It's scuppered a few of my NPA tutorials I'm planning! Thanks!

Hi all, anybody know what can be the cause of this? Contrails are out of alignment with the engines. Happens on different routes and weather conditions but only on the NGX. Stock / REX or Immersion contrails makes no difference. I exaggerated the colors for better visibility and hopefully somebody knows a fix.

Is there a way to copy paste the PMDG checklist in the kneeboard ?, so it will be easy excessible ?Same question but for flightplans ( not the default plans FSx will paste into the kneeboard, when you use theh FSX flightplanner. Anybody any suggestions ? Thanks in advance Rob

I am now trying to follow the Tutorial 2 and cannot get anything to work in the section Advanced FMC Route Modifications. I am trying to do a Direct To exactly as decribed in the manual. I Press LSK2L to copy TESGA into the scratch pad (it appears at the bottom of the FMC). I then Press LSK1L to enter TESGA over the top of the active waypoint. TESGA disappears from the bottom of the FMC and nothing else happens. I have also tried typing in TESGA in the scratchpad by clicking on the appropriate letters and then pressing LSK1L over the top of the active waypoint. In this case what I typed still appears on the scratch pad and nothing else changes. What am I doing wrong? I ge…
