Hi I found several livery packages for 737 ngx in Avsim library and authors clearly state that each of the liveries includes proper airline config options. Problem is - when I open it there are only .ptp files inside, no .ini. Is there option to save a config to .ptp file than? Or are the descriptions wrong? Thanks in advance

Hi all, I am using an additional monitor to display the CDU of the NGX. When I undock the CDU and use it on my second monitor I dont have any noticable framerate impact. (I am using P3D V3) However, I would like to have only the CDU display without the actual CDU gauge around it. As stated in multiple posts regarding this topic the only thing you gave to do is renaming "gauge00=PMDG_737NGX!CDU, 0,0,385,600,L #0" in the panel.cfg to "gauge00=PMDG_737NGX!CDU_Screen, 0,0,385,600,L #0". Just out of curiosity I wanted to ask why the mic selector on the FO's side defaults to VHF2 when you power up the a/c from cold and dark? Wouldn't both the captain as well as the FO normally communicate on the same communication system and only switch to another one when doing a PA, talk to the ground etc?

After reinstall from boxed version 737-800,900 and update from Aerosoft I get nothing when pressing WX or Test. AV was off during install and update and I show current version in the OC. I have searched this forum and Googled and Binged but can't seem to find the fix. Works fine on 777 and 747. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have realy major problems in using PDMG737NGX. When starting the plane from the runway the used default PDMG 737 Boeing constantly stops ( blue wheel on screen, no interaction within FSX-Steam is possible). The first thing I think off is: out of memory or processor-power or to high scenery or other FSX-Steam-settings. But processor-use is 35-37%, memory 40 %, disk-activity (SSD) 0-5%, VAS 2.2G, Scenery-setting are low-very low, Frame-rate 30, every other FSX-setting low. Activities outside the FSX-app are no problem and working fine. So in my opinion nothing more in FSX-Steam can be downsized and my conclusion is that the available hardware is ok. …

I am getting a black screen for the OCCUlus VR which locks and cannot be cycled past on cycling the views in the cockpit. ATAhis means I have too close and restart the sim, a very annoying situation and my dogs have learnt some new words. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just something with my system. Good afternoon, Reading forum, introduction manual and watching videos in YouTube but can't find the solution. As far as I know, after changing options for a registration via FMS, clicking "Restore Original" would reset all changes to default. It doesn't work for me. For example, I change MCP type to Collins when the default for KLM is Honeywell and after restoring, Collins stays there unless I delete livery and reinstall via OP Center. It happens with all the changes made. It seems that the original cfg file is not restored. Thanks very much.

Hi guys, Since google and a forum search on AVSim doesn't bring me further I'd like to ask a question in this forum. I got myself a Saitek Throttle Quadrant and I'm trying to program it. Beneath the three levers there are buttons. I use the left and center levers for throttle #1 and #2. Now I would like to assign the buttons below the levers to the Engine Start Levers via FSUIPC. What action do I have to bind to these buttons? PMDG doesn't use the standard FSX:SE actions, but I can't find a list or an overview of which FSX-actions PMDG use for which lever or knob. Even though I've been flying FSX from the start I just recently purchased the PMDG 737 and have a few questions. This is only the second plane I've purchased. The first being the Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza V35B which I enjoy flying. I did read the manual and tried a flight using the 1st tutorial. Although, yes I did cheat and take a couple flights before hand. I did appreciate all the quality in building this thing and can tell how well done it is. Is it possible to do a flight without going into all the stuff I went through in the tutorial? I can see at some point wanting to use this but for now am really just interested in flying with no auto-pilot etc…

I watched flightdeck2sim video the other day (great vids btw) and saw a tip to push the throttles up and back quick during taxi to see if you get the config warning. Makes sense to me so I started doing it. Tonight I pushed the throttles up and back - got no config warning but did get the master caution to come on. The door warning was illuminated in the caution box and the over wing exit lights in the OH illuminated. To me it seemed like the random latching error PMDG programmed in. However it did not go away (the throttles were back down to idle). I waited about 20 seconds, then figured I had to do something, so I cycled the door through the computer. The er…

Good evening, When taking off, I advance joystick throttle axis the required to get enough N2 and when stabilized I click fictitious TOGA button. The most of the times everything goes fine but sometimes before reaching V1 the power reduces unless I advance throttle to full power. Which is the correct procedure or setting of the throttle axis using Autothrottle and de rated TO power? Will I apply full power to engines instead of reduced if I move the axis to full to avoid losing power? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have used the PMDG 737 for a while now and I have never ran into this problem. I loaded up the PMDG 737 and all the displays were blank, the throttles were full, the landing gear was up and I couldn't click anything. I then reinstalled it. Then I thought, good that error has gone. It had gone, but now the licence library failed to initialise. I don't know what to do about this, I have reinstalled it. If I click OK, it loads the plane with the same problems as I had said above. Please help me, I really want to fly with this plane because I am part of a virtual airline and I haven't been able to do a flight because of this. - Cane Emmingham

Good Evening, Having a play around today I noticed during descent VNAV PTH doesn't always command Autothrottle to RETARD then ARM and instead uses FMC SPD despite being on Path and Speed. FMC SPD should usually annunciate as a thrust mode when the aircraft speed drops around 10kts or so to accelerate the aircraft to it's planned descent speed. The Autothrottle mode should then (see attached picture) return to RETARD then ARM when the aircraft speed is equal to the target speed. I tried recycling SPD INTV and reengaging VNAV, changing the CI to fly a higher speed, but it always defaults to FMC SPD and not ARM, despite flying the Target Airspeed. Is thi…

I was wondering if there are or could be any plans to add a PMDG 737-BBJ2 (800) and 737-BBJ3 (900)? These two planes have 2 aux center fuel tanks and the pedestal is in a slightly different configuration. It would be an easy add-on to the existing PMDG 737-800/900 series. It would also be a wonderful addition to this already amazing PMDG series! Jeremy

When I fly a SID which requires ATC vectors and I select HDG mode prior to takeoff for runway heading as soon as I engage TO/GA it kills HDG and I have to awkwardly move the camera to the left while accelerating to re-engage HDG which is a bit annoying. Doesn't happen in the real airplane as far as I can tell from a video I watched recently. Any idea why this is?

Hiya! I love my pmdg 737 and flew it for a while now but im new to all these computers on board. So could someone tell me how to autoland from the beginning to the very end. Ive looked at videos but i found them to complicated and i could not turn on VNAV and because of that my plane did not follow the path . Good morning, As I read in the FCOM, there are 3 methods for taking off depending on activating VNAV on ground or not. Am I right? When is used one or another method? AS far as I know RYR uses Speed Bug Up method and after flaps up actives VNAV. Does it depend on the equipment selected in OPS center or is something decided by airlines? Thanks very much. Xiropillo
