PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. AS I'm climbing through 10,000 feet I hear an audible alarm but no master caution or any kind of alarm is showing. As I'm nearing my final altitude of 13,000ft FSX just says there is a fatal error and restarts on it's own. Sorry for being so vague but I don't know how to be more specific. Is there an error log I can go through and post whats happening? Could it be fixed with one of the hot fixes?

    All, Has anyone else experienced the problem with the 3 displays shimmering\having lines running diaganolly through them. I am not sure if this is by design to simulate crt screens but it is slightly off putting. I am using an ATI card if this helps. Thanks in advance, Chris Stanhope

    Hi, 1. Is it still OK & accurate enough for NGX to use the old PMDG Fuel Planner? I have it on another computer to work out Fuel needed after calculating net Wind loss or gain from upper level winds from a Aviation Calculator using parameters Track, Speed (Approx 450kts), Wind direction/speed etc. 2.     Just to say that if flying into EINN that the radio frequencies for RW 24 do not workand never have in FSX. The solution is to use the frequency for RW 06 and that will work for both. It is 109.50 If you do land at EINN............................Welcome to Ireland !! Fred.

    Hey! Before I submit a ticket, I want to make sure I don't do something wrong here. Every now and then NAV2 ILS or VOR station wakes and starts to give me its morse code. It happens even without my turning any knobs. And I can't silence it! I tried turning receiver switches (FCOM2 5.10.6), filter switch, and actually anything that looks likee it could work - with no success. The only I thing I can do to silence the morse signal is switching NAV2 to a station that is not detectable at present position.Am I doing something wrong here? thanks a lot for any hint!Jakub

  7. Though the sound level is maxed in settings, the volume of the ATC sound in squawkbox is often very low relative to the sound of NGX. So I'm having trouble when listening to the ATC, can't understand what he says sometimes. I often push "Q" key to mute the FSX when ATC is calling me, so that i only hear ATC sound. Even i lower the master volume from 50 to 10 through FMC, it is very hard to hear what ATC says. One option is to lower all volume levels through FSX sound settings but for the best experience PMDG advices to set all of them to %50, so i don't want to do that. Does anybody suffer from the same problem?

    Anyone having problems with the 800WL liveries? I add them and they don't appear, I add again and it appears, if I add a different one the old one disappears? The 900WL's have been working fine ever since the "fixed" them right after release.

    Robert and Ryan, I am a bit concerned about the number of problems being raised in relation to the recent hot-fixes that have been released. It seems to me that these hot-fixes aren't undergoing a decent level of scrutiny/testing before being released. Not to try to tell you how to do your job, but could we see a freeze on hot-fixes until a well-tested service pack or update is released? Personally, I have not and will not be installing any hot-fixes as my NGX has been working fine right from the moment I installed it. I am going to wait for a service pack or update that has been thoroughly tested.

    ok so i tried an engine fire and the EGT went off the scale with a red box on the engine display as it should but there seems no way to clear it with any of the maintainace options including a full aircraft service. reloading the aircraft clears it but it would be nice if it was a maintannce option =) any ideas?

  11. Hello All I loaded the Hotfix on Aug. 16. I had 3 liveries (Westjet, Delta, and one other) loaded and running after the release day of the 737NGX. These liveries are now missing when I try and load the aircraft in FS. When I run the livery manager, I get an error of "Texture Folder Already exists". It won't overwrite when I clock OK. Just keep getting a request to rename the texture. I am sure it is something small I am overlooking, but any advice on how to reload my liveries would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.     I use multi moniter. But it seems to make everything go goofy if I try and re-size anything., Like the duplicate panel below. Also the mouse flickers, if you try and re-size the CDU. Can you se the trailing effect? Hmmmmmm Wasn't FS9 so much more stable?

    Hi there,In anticipation of my new system arriving within the next week I'd like to read up on the ngx manual to be prepared for my big day. I know the manual comes with the purchase, but I wasn't planning on purchasing it until my new rig is up and running. If that's the only legitimate way to get my hands on the manuals that would be perfectly acceptable.     Hi Guys, Since I've loaded the NGX, I can't get the baggage carts to approach the aircraft. I have both cargo doors open, and I'm parked on the line, but they won't come. They will come to other add-on aircraft. Is there something I'm missing in the settings for this plane? I'm currently flying the 800WL AA livery. Thanks, John

    OK, now I know this is probably finger trouble, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. The CDU is programmed with the correct airports and coordinates, no SIDS and STARS just a direct route. Everything hunkydory. Depart and climb at 15 degrees with A/T armed, then I use HDG select to take me to the correct route, engage LNAV and VNAV and CMD A. The plane flies in AP mode nicely up to the right height and speed, and levels out. The flight continues as expected, but as I approach the airport, in this case YMML, the plane does not go into an auto decent, neither does the plane begin to slow down.     Hi PMDG, First congrats on a great product. Like the FS2004 version of the 737 you still can't enter a threshold waypoint in the FMC in the FIX page. For example when flying to YMML and landing on runway 34 you should be able to type RW34 in the fix page then enter 4.2 NM for the circling area. I have asked NAVIGRAPH if its a database issue and they replied it isn't. Can you guys fix this? Also would you like some feedback on FMS short cuts that you can't do on your 737NGX FMC? (for example on the DES page should be able to put a / before or after a valid number to enter data. Ie: /50 for 250/5000 for a speed restriction instead of having to type it out in full). Thanks.

    Hello forum. I have a few minor questions, im pretty sure they are minor at least :D 1. When im trying to tune the landing minimums by adjusting the smaller inner knob on the MINS knob the radio altimiter frequency starts at some stupid number like 20000 +/-. It litterarly takes like 20 min to get down to 100, which is what i want to set it to. What am i doing wrong? Oh and while speaking of landing minimums, what do i want to set it to?   24. Hi All, Super happy with the NG, but am having one small issue... I have been using FSUIPC to bind the NGX panel controls to my TM:Warthog which works very well as I can utilise the toggle switches. However the CAPT Warnings , A/P P-RST, A/T P-RST, FMC P-RST which I have bound to CTRL-SHIFT-F10, F11 and F12 respectively don't seem to want to stick. Every time I load up the sim they have been deleted in the FMC options pages and I need to rebind them. I have tried different binds but the result is the same. It's not a biggie a few moments works each flight but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? All the other binds work perfectly, just those ones seem to be …

  25. My offering for the most trivial bug found on the NGX is as follows:Start the 800WL at night in Cold & Dark panel state. Try and turn on the dome light using the switch on the overhead and it does not come on. So far so good. Turn the switch back to the off position, turn the battery on and turn the dome light back on and it comes on. Still so far so good - the switch controls the light only if there is power available. Now turn the battery off. The dome light stays on and the dome light switch has no effect. So it is the switch that is controled by the prescence of power and not the light it self. How minor is that!
