PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

So first off, I just want to say that I finally had the chance to do a full flight with the NGX and she is glorious. I seem to be having a few small issues that may or may not have been addressed yet. First off, the bird seems to overfly each waypt and needs to roll the opposite direction to line up with the path correctly. Second, I am seeing a quick pitch movement when I select VOR LOC or APP mode while on approach. It happens very fast and the plane corrects itself for the sudden pitch (always pitches up) after these two modes are selected. Finally, upon landing the plane breaks to a complete stop. Earlier today i uninstalled both the NGX and FSX. After reinstalling everything the NGX did not ask for activation id in order to run the NGX ( i don't know if that's normal, it was on the same computer so maybe thats why). Now after i run the livery manager as admin and choose the .ptp file i want and install it, the livery is not selectable within FSX. I am running FSX as an admin, and the liveries do show up as textures within the >sim objects> airplanes>800WL. I also tried the solution posted by you guys in the NGX customer forum but it didn't work. The PMDG livery aircraft runs fine within FSX. I posted some interesting screen shots of the PMDG 737's 3D modeling, showing the amazing detail that most don't see, with standard views, within the plane, but withing 30 minytes, whole TOPIC, including responses, seem to have been deleted. ? :( Just asking why, and suggesting on the rare occurances that posts or whole Topics are deleted, it might be common curtesy to let the poster know why (in a PM) if only to let them know WHY, so they know what not to do again. I've been flying the 737 NGX for about a week now using only the 2D panels (which I prefer). I have a couple of questions that I have not been able to figure out: How do you activate/view the F/O CDU in 2D?? Can you only view it with the v/c? Similar issue.... can you access the F/O panel in 2D or only with the v/c? Thanks!! Phil

I've tried looking to open the cargo doors under the FMC " doors" and there is nothing there for the cargo doors any where in the FMC...can someone please tell me how to do that?Thnx

I have used LNAV and VNAV with no problems up till now.In my last flight though after take-off I armed VNAV and LNAV but when I selected CMD A, LNAV turned off. After some trial and error I found that I could use the CMD B autopilot in LNAV and VNAV with no problem. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Well, after days of work getting my FS environment setup I've finally completed the 737NGX tutorial #1! What a beautiful plane! It was tough going at first. I had quite a bit of trouble getting everything setup and adjusted. I'm using Saitek X-65F HOTAS along with the SST software and have the basic functions mapped out but that took awhile and I still have work to do. I'm using TrackIR V5 (w/o Pro) for the first time and I had a dickens of a time getting it setup to work properly for me. I really had a hard time with the profiles. I found that the default profiles didn't work at all for me. I had setup a completely new profile that is much more sensitive to my movements.…

Hi,In my current flight, I have several problems in the cockpit: - Right PFD does not show the blue/brown horizon. It shows speed and altitude and annunciators. Left PFD shows the horizon. Both ND's seem to be ok, showing the legs etc.- There is no F/D crosshair on either PFD showing where to fly.- I cannot activate CMD A or CMD B. I can activate the different modes (LNAV, VNAV, HDGSEL etc.), but cannot turn autopilot on. The following annunciators are shown: MCP SPD, HDG SEL, ALT HLD and FD.Recall does not show any errors, there doesn't seem to be any warning lights anywhere in the cockpit.Both F/D are on, A/T is armed. One of the most exciting features of the NGX for me personally is the PBN ability of the new plane. Though I haven't purchased the product yet (you know, millionaires are having a hard time at the moment), I'd like to get some more details about the practical use of PBN: Did anyone make use of RPN/IAN already? The're companies like Navrus who design custom PBN routes (the examples on their homepage are really strange and very interesting). If I want to do the same, and add my own routes to the Navigraph navdata files, what's the best approach to define waypoints and lay out the PBN course? Hi all, I know it starts to get boring but I just want to start with a big compliment to the PMDG team! Thank you very much for this masterpiece! Now on topic: I never managed to fly a proper automatic go around. I'm following the Boeing procedures but still the aircraft is not behaving like it should. It would be great if someone can check this procedure out for me and report back his/hers findings. This is what I do: Fly a standard ILS approach with both CMD's on (flare mode will be armed indicating it is ready for a automatic landing or go around). I installed my 737 NGX into the defalt installation directory. I want to correct this error and install the 737 and FSX in it's own directory.My question is can I reinstall the 737NGX using the same license? Hi This problem has been resolved. I installed hotfix last night and it's worked right then. But today when I lanch FSX, the activation dialog appear again.I key the serial number in it then show737NG SUCCESSFULLY ACTIVATED. But!! I click OK .The Activation dialog appear again & again. What's the matter？ I already reinstall the NGX without hotfix. But the problem remain. Please help.

Dear PMDG, I've found that my plane freezes everytime I have a power source available, shut that source down and turn another source on (GEN/GRD power).I know you probably won't see this happen in real life, but I had this four times now, and it is really starting to annoy me.I bought the NGX after the 16AUG hot-fix, so I didn't install it. I have been using FDC Live Cockpit version 3.83 with NGX. The callouts are handy. It is unable to raise and lower the flap and gear like is does on other aircraft. Is anyone using FDC Live Cockpit 2011? If so, how does that perform? Ed

Noticed a slight problem. Upon disconnecting the Ground Power you have to select the GEN1 and GEN2 switches... How ever since the hotfix it seems to freeze the sim for about 30 seconds? Not sure if I explained it ok but does anyone else have this problem? RegardsJay

This is my first add-on from PMDG, I've been waiting so long until this plane can be buy. Hi all, I've pached my 737NGX from the first HotFix to the second HotFix_2916 and my Acft.cfg shows as below: PMDG 737NGx// // Current with Build: 1.00.2888 I think it should read "Current with Build: 1.00.2916", and none of my installed textures disappeared, as stated in the installation instructions. Also I have notice that the files ware installed in drive C, not in drive F (where my FSX is). And there is no way to modify the installation path. When I try to make my flight plan only with the FMC, I usually end up with the STAR that looks like a pretzel, because it is impossible to see an overall view of the flight plan in the FMC. I always find it impossible to find a STAR that creates a straightforward approach to the runway. Flight Sim Commander is a program that among many other things makes it fairly easy to do flight plans and interactively see them on a map. FSC allows to save flight plans in a number of formats, including PMDG compatible.
