Whenever I swith to the external viwes my 737 becomes just the windows and cargo holds. The external fuselage disappears (witht he wings, etc). The weird thing is, it doesn't do it on the liveries i installed on my first day of using the ngx. It only does it on liveries after the first day (august 13). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the affected liveries to no avail. Yes I read the intro and I think editing my fsx.cfg file might help solve my problem. I can't however find the fsx.cfgIm running W7x64 and I installed FSX into c:\fsx like it says. Where can I find the .cfg file in order to add the himefmex=1 entry? Thanks for the help. Mitch Bowman

I had to uninstall and reinstall the NGX after I messed up trying to resolve the livery manager issues. Then I downloaded some liveries and tried to install them. Had to delete all the old livery folders before I could install the new ones. Now the fan blades are not spinning at all on all my add on liveries. The engines are running but the fan blades are not moving at all. And also the fan cone looks like it's gone. But the PMDG house livery looks fine and spinning as it should. Anyone have any idea on what could be wrong? Thanks

I can't get a screen grab of it because it happens too quickly, but during the day in an overcast condition where shadows are not showing, when I turn on the red beacon I see a white square flashing under the plane. Like I said, not a problem, just an artifact.

On the computer where i downloaded the NGX, it says the file is 658mb, but hwn i save it to a flash drive, it says its 642mb. what happened to the other 16MB, and did i lose something in the process? Thanks, Mitch bowman

Sorry to post yet another topic. When following the Normal Procedures I set my radio altimiter to 100 as per the tutorial. On both sides at current it starts at 9090 feet which takes ages to dial down to a 100! What am I doing wrong and how might I sort it? Many thanks Captains. Robin Jones

I had the problem with the black smoke and contrails problem after deleting my ariane and LVL D aircraft and several others. I thought it was NGX issue until I found out deleting addon AC sometimes deletes those important files. Luckily I had a laptop to install FSX on so I could retrieve the files. Repairing had too many steps which I thought may screw up the FSX program. So I installed FSX with Aceleration which I didnt have to after all since the basic files are found on the regular FSX installation. I installed the SVC pack 1 and Acceleration anyway so I could have a pristine copy of gauges and effects. The files are: FX_1,FX_2, FX_3, FX_5 and the FX_smoke. If anyone …

Hey there, First of all I want to thank PMDG for this fantastic Addon, all the time waiting for it was definitely worth it. And the best thing is, even on my relatively old pc, it runs pretty well :) I did the tutorial flight already, without running into any major problems, and now i want to go the next step and fly "on my own". I have now a question regarding topcat, when I add a new aircraft there, under the section "Aircraft Configuration --> Configuration" which configuration do I have to choose when I want to add the 738 WL plane? Okay, I'm online and I've taken off from Sydney (YSSY) via Rwy 34L on the Richmond 2 departure. all sweet. however the online controller then clears me to FL340 and says 'cancel speed restriction under 10,000' - I go 'cleared FL340, cancel speed restriction, virgin blah blah blah'....then I do NOTHING....because I haven't the faintest idea of what to do given I'm on VNAV and its programmed as max 250/10000. My question is...how do I override? Do i go to the VNAV screen and go max angle or max rate or something, or do I just guess what the optimum climb speed is and input into the speed indicator??? I dunno.... thoughts?

Hello, After installing the plane all the " smoke" behind the plane (high in the air) and the smoke from factories in the scenery is turned into black squares.Anyone knows what causes this an know how to repair this? Thanks for helping. Eric

I have a Saitek X36 combo and have a rotary knob assigned via FSX controls to elevator trim and it is calibrated through FSUIPC. On all aircraft other than the 737NGX this control works fine, on the 737NGX it just seems to move the trim one way regardless off if the knob is rotated clockwise or anti-clockwise. Now I know PMDG have said that FSUIPC may cause problems but I wondered if anyone has this working or can suggest a work around? Thanks Dave

Hotfix 2922 installed. First trip last night after this hotfix was allright with correct relative-level tags on TCAS (with Ultimate Traffic 2 A.I.).I had to re-install the summer 2011 schedule for UT2 however, due to my screwing up some airport-data. Install went OK.After that, on my next trip (EHGG to LEMG), I only get -(minus)99 tags attached to all planes showing up on TCAS. When on the ground they all show + (plus) 99. The rest of the sim runs great. Any idea's? FSX; ASE weather engine with REX2 graphics; UT2; RC4; EZdok. Everything was going great, did the LENYD5 into JFK tonight, vnav and lnav. Flawless. Then I started getting vectors for the ILS 4R at JFK. Both NAV1/2 radios tuned to the proper frequency, both OBS's dialed in. HGS all setup for the approach, vref entries made etc etc. I was able to use VOR/LOC to track the localizer but upon selecting APP it just bumped off VOR/LOC and went to CWS/single Ch. All I did was select APP. Obviously it didn't like that. What did I do wrong? AFAIK it isn't required to use CMD A and B to fly the approach. This is the only thing I can think of that I did not select ch B.

I've done the tutorial, skimmed over some of the basic manuals. The tutorial was well done by the way, because I didn't crash hehe! I'm a 90% of the time GA flyer, so this plane is a HUGE step for me. I'm having some issues with VNAV early on, mainly in the takeoff phase. I've got it on now in the climb and cruise and it's working great, per my FMS settings. Anyway, I set the MCP speed to V2 (about 147) on this flight, and arm VNAV on the ground. I roll with flaps 10, and nearly max power due to a short strip, TOGA armed, A/T armed, etc. I rotate and a then things go bad LOL! The A/P basically wants to fly at 147 knots in the climb, so my VSI goes way up to around 6…

With both autopilots engaged on approach, say a couple hundred feet agl, i would like to know what happens for others when you push toga?Does your plane maintain GA thrust while continually climbing or does the plane seem to level off while having a reduced thrust. What happens?

The spoiler armed light is on when the spoiler lever is in the spoiler down position and in the detent. If I raise the spoiler it goes out but comes on again as soon as set it back in the down detent. I am not sure if this is something I am doing wrong or not. I don't recall this happening before. I just installed Hotfix 3 so don't know if that is the cause. Everything else is running okay as far as I can tell. FSX 64 Ultimate, i7 980x, 6G ram, ATI HD5850 Tom Hibben

Hi, In the 2d Cockpit View, how can I assign a key command for the seat PITCH adjustment, if any ? I've tried the default assignement from FSX, but that doesnt seem to work. The reason, is on final approach, the runway is not visible until after "touchdown". i/e Being on proper glidepath - Established. Also, the F/D bars are not visible on the PFD, Until a ROLL/PITCH mode is selected on or after take-off roll. Was just wondering, cause the F/D bars should show up the moment its switch to ON. Hey guys I dedcided to uninstall the NGX with the new installer that has all the hot fixes. Hi,I haven't experienced panel-freeze problems and been quite satisfied wit NGX and so I have not installed any hot-fixes so far. Right now I'm having my first software related problem: Everything in VC works ok, but I cannot access FMC. So, the CDU works well and I'm able to do set ups and configuring, but in the menu when I should move to FMC there is no response. Even the text FMC is "grey-lighted" but no response from from the button. I've even tried to F3 and a visit to task manager but my FMC is not available. I've already made about a dozen flights wit NGX without this kind of problem, but now I'm standing in LIMC unable to acces FMC. Any solution? Petteri Pulkki…

In my case all of the hydraulic pumps switches seem to be ineffective, or I'm doing something wrong.Situation 1 : initial state of the ngx (engine runing)If i switch off system A and B hydraulic pumps, none of the low pressure indicators for hydraulic systems will illuminate, and flight controls low pressure indicators neither.The systems page on the lower DU shows a pressure of 2900 psi that never decreases by the time : all flight controls remain fully operational even after a long time (10 minutes). I've noticed there is no 'Tuned' VOR information on the Captains Outbd PFD, top left hand corner of the Attitude Indicator. If you tune an ILS in No 1 Nav unit the relevant information shows just above and to the left of the Attitude indicator, but if you tune a VOR nothing appears. I've just tried this on the FS9 737NG and it shows BOTH VOR and ILS info when tuned on No1 Nav. I know I can display this info on the Map display using the EFIS VOR1/ADF1 switch but I don't want to clutter the Map with Needles I don't need. Is this omission by design or have I got something set wrong ? Glen
