I need help with the autopilot, it won't turn on or follow the flight path or altitude and I can move it freely as if it is off. P.S. Anyone have a good FMC tutorial for this aircraft?

I think I've entered the twilight zone! Rig is in my sig, Running the latest hotfix for the NGX. Other addons running are: REX, ASE, EZDok... Here's what happens 1) Load NGX from Free Flight menu2) Choose Airport (PDX or SEA) from Free Flight Menu3) Config time/weather = User defined... Then hit "Fly Now"4) As the flight loads I hear a "Click" as if one of the overhead panel switches was flipped (This hasn't happened prior to tonight, so system changes)5) Flight loads and appears normal on the ramp Then... 6) I choose choose the FSInn module and the flight freezes, and eventually CTD's What's peculiar is that I can't reproduce this outside of an Orbx PNW location, a diff…

From the moment I entered the planned step climb of FL370 from my beginning cruise altitude of FL350 of my 1800 mile flight from KSEA to KFNT, the FMS cruise page stated that this altitude was 'unable'. I tried reentering it later in the flight. Still unable, even when the cruise page displayed an optimum altitude of FL374 and, inexplicably, a maximum altitude of FL371. Any ideas?

Hi fellas, This is probably a more suitable topic for the AIRAC section, or general area but since it applies to the NG ill ask away here. I don't quite understand the difference between all the Alpha, Zulu, Delta Zulu, arrivals and all that sort of stuff with the STARs. Perhaps someone could shine some light and explain them? I couldn't find anything on google with my search terms. I'm still getting used to the FMC (first aircraft I've used with an FMC believe it or not), and have managed to get everything set up fine.. until it's time for the approach. I take the whole STAR thing from the tutorial and whatnot and use it for whatever airport I'm coming in to, but I get this labyrinth of routes coming up that the plane tries to follow, one time I even had a route that took me back to the previous waypoint only to come back where I started for the approach.. if I even manage to make the approach. You could say my question is how to know which STAR/transition to use? I've read the manual.

Hello The tutorial is great and I could see the time to next waypoint on the map display but how do i find the ETA for the destination airport, I must be looking in the wrong place could not find it in the FMC either and, i did try to read by extending the map display but get to cluttered that far out, thanks Wayne

I'm not sure if anyone at PMDG has tried RealAir's Turbine Duke, but I'm pretty sure much of the members in the forum have. Well, it has this really nifty feature in the VC, where if you want to, say, close in at a certain area of the panel or reach somewhere you can't see, you just click in a hidden spot and the camera changes to that location, and then you just right click to go back to the original view without having to keep pressing A or shift A. Now, I have no idea how they did it, but can something similar be done to the NGX? The reason why I suggest this is because I love handflying the NGX as much as I can, such as on approach and climb, but when I have to switch…

Hey guys has anyone come across this? It doesn't matter which panel state I use but after engine start I cannot get any thrust. The thrust levers move when I move my joystick lever but the engines don't spool up? For my fist flight I took my time and configured the cockpit for a short flight from EGLL to LOWI, pushed back and then.....nothing, I could even see the ground crew scratching their heads saying "what the hell is he doing in there?" I also have a ram door fully open warning too, can't seem to get rid of it, even after a cold and dark start. Engine 1 and 2 bleeds don't seem to be supplying bleed air to the packs, only the apu? Just wanted you to know what I've found so far, with this GREAT piece of software, and before anyone comes throwing rocks on me, I tell you that I've been flying this (real) bird for 6 years now along with the 767, and many more years of flight simming, user since Fs5.1. Bugs found so far: Selecting BUG UP speed after takeoff with let's say Flaps 10, on a heavy -800 the Speed bug stops at the lower red MAX SPEED limit while the speed itself continues rising to the commanded value. This is not a NGX specific issue, however occurred after the install of NGX. I have got the stupid black contrails caused by the missing texture file. Does anybody have a replacement copy of the contrail files that can be used. I have so many addons that an FSX repair from the disc will just cause more headaches than it is worth. Thanks,

Hello guys. Today i bought the NGX and installed it on my Win7 64-bit Home Premium PC. German Version. I have a problem with activation. I runned the installation as Admin and started the FSX as Admin. I choosed the PMDG 737 and then a window opened for activation. It was not possible to make entries in this window, every second a new activation windows opens. PMDG Support is informed, but they can´t solve the problem yet. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I saw a couple threads earlier of people asking about how load a saved flight without crashing. I never had any problems loading the MD-11X or 747-400X flights directly from FSUIPC AutoSave. However everytime I try it with the 737-NGX it crashes as others have reported. I have found a go-around that works consistantly for me. Select one of your other PMDG planes (MD-11X, 747-400X or other PMDG Plane) and choose the arrival airport you were originally flying to. Load the plane up at the gate with the current Zulu time and sit there a couple seconds until the plane is stable. End your flight then load up your saved flight with the 737-NGX. Trying to follow the tutorial. Once the initialization finishes (green strip disappears), multiple trouble lights ... bat discharge, low pressure, "elec" and "fuel" on master display, engines spool down to zero. It all acts like it wants to initialize into some state where the engines are not running and so shuts down after a few seconds. I haven't changed any options in the FMC pages. I have installed a couple of liveries, and that's all. FSUIPC ini file removed but that didn't help. Should I just reinstall, or is there something else to look for? Feeling dumb! Richard

I have been loving the NGX so far but when I start to get to high altitudes with her my thrust will start skipping around. It will say its going 270 knots then skip down to 245 knots in a instant! That makes the A/P correct for this by making my climb very long and painful. This is also happening in cruise and it makes the throttles do a lot of extra work! Anyone else having this problem? HelloI've noticed that using ASV and NGX there are some problems when the aircraft is airborned. I'm explain better: i've noticed that during climb phase, even in LVL change mode or in VNAV mode, the elevators go up and down very fast in order to mantains the setted climb... bur the go very fast! In italian language we call this "delfinare" and i'm not very sure hot to translate it... probably: "dolphin performance" Someone noticed that? HI After buying the NGX a little while ago, i'm very sad to say that i haven't been able to use it. After wiping windows and re-installing FSX (SP1 + 2) i installed ORBX, UT2 and FSUIPC and PMDG 737NGX. Whenever i started FSX it would hang after re-installing a few times into a now pogrom files location i have found that FSUIPC was at fault. However now after a fresh re-install of FSX, i Wasn't prompted to enter the activation code (like i had on the other times.) Just when i load the NGX it has blank screens with inputs not working and it doesn't appear to initialize. Im thinking somehow the activation hasn't worked, possibly caused by the multiple re-installs of the so…

Hi all I'm interested in others download speed after purchasing the NGX. I've made the purchase, however my download speed is 7kbs. I'm sure the weak speed is due to my internet connection, however with all that has happened I cannot be 100% sure. The title '737NG' is a Boeing Trademark, but is the title '737NGX' also a PMDG trademark?Is it a product name that belongs to PMDG and the NGX only? Hi Folks, I am finding that the NGX does not seem to like the calculated V-REF speeds from the FMC CDU. I will try to illustrate what I mean, however, I am sure I am the one at fault. Lets say that the recomended V-REF speed for flap setting 30 as depicted in the CDU is: 139 knots. I get myself fully configured in flap 30 and maintain the 139 knots as required. Nevertheless, this combination of flaps 30 and 139 knots always has the aircraft in a nose down pitch in what seems like is going to be a nose wheel first touchdown.
