Hello, I've been enjoying flying the NGX for about 20 hours now. At this moment the oil qty in the right engine has dropped to 58%. I'am really wondering if there is any way to refill the engine oil without doing a compleet engine maintenance or reloading the aircraft (as someone in an other topic said, that didn't work for me....) Will there be an refill option in the upcoming sp1? Or am i missing something? I hope PMDG can give me (us) an answer... BTW Thanks for making this beautifull aircraft! Jeroen

Hello pilots, First of all I would like to congratulate the PMDG team for bringing such a complete airplane. I'm still amazed about the number of systems you reproduced.Yet I have an issue that could be related to the PMDG's NGX. Not 100% sure about it, but my problems began since I installed the aircraft.Let me go into detail (I searched this forum to see if an answer was available, but found nothing. Please forgive me if I missed a post about it): Since I installed the NGX, my other aircraft lack hydraulic and oil pressure. Be it with CLS MD-80 or Captainsim 757, my HYD PRESS is often too low to get the aircraft work correctly. Sometimes I have enough pressure for take…

Hello folks, just entered a holding at best holding speed of 212 knots. Flew towards to fix using LNAV and directly opposed to the inbound leg. Plane flew straight ahead for about a minute after passing the fix, perfect so far. Then it made a 180° to the left and ended up on the holding outbound leg pretty precisely. Interestingly enough it flew almost that whole outbound leg (remember, still opposite direction) before finally making a sharp turn inbound the fix (see below), but now obviously at a very bad angle to capture the actual holding afterwards. Why doesn't it fly like a ~210° degree turn at maximum bank angle directly to the fix (or even turn farther, and interce…

I would like to know if I download the NGX off of the PMDG site if both 'Hot-Fixes' will also install or will I have to download each of them separately. Also, will I need WinZip for this initial download of the NGX or any future downloads from their site?? Regards, jen noulet

I have 2 questions:1. After today hotfix, during ILS autoland i have on PDF "SINGLE CH" even after engage second AP. someone else with the same problem? Solutions? and most important:2. I have windows 7 64bit, 4GB memory. Do I have to do paging? I did this before, when I had windows XP(min an max value - 3072) and I wonder: to leave it, or not to leave it,question is now? NGX works fine for me most of time - 22-26FPS, if I move the mouse - 16-19FPS, It's ok for me. But FSX freezes sometimes just for a second - like a slideshow, and it can be very annoying, especially if this happens on take off and final. I don't know the reason - probably CPU overload, but i want to tr…

Whereas PMDG is doing everything to keep paying customers from getting any extra information (for example by blocking last weekend access to the PMDG 737 NG manuals that were online at the PMDG site), I have found another very useful manual to complement the ones that you get with NGX. There is a 400+ page operations manual for free download for the Ifly 737 NGX plane. The plane just came out yesterday, but the manual was put online some time ago. Among other useful information, this manual contains diagrams and explanations for ALL of the panel buttons on the 737NG, information that you can only get from PMDG by paying for the extra manuals. I have not seen ay compariso…

... not just to delivering a fantastic simulation (certainly much more than simply a game) but also to providing a program which really takes into account the many weaknesses of FSX under various operating systems. A while ago I had strongly complained about MD11 not taking these into account at all (thus requiring the user to become half of a software engineer...), so now I owe a big *thanks* and *applause* to all developers and testers for getting it right this time. It certainly was worth the waiting. This is one simulation which can claim to live up to - if not excel - the standards once set by PS1 (744) many years ago. I just finished a round-trip LOWL-LGIR-LOWL with…

Hello;I've been trying to perform a long range flight from MMMX to KJFK, However at the cruise stage during flight the panel freezes. if I go into the external view the plane is still flying and moving...I have correctly filled all the necessary FMC pages including weight cruise altitudes, dep/arr rwy with procedures.Yes I have installed both mandatory hotfixes and this issue is only happening on long flights.I have an iMac running natively Windows 7 64bitIntel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.4 GHZ 3.4ghz8gb RAM2gb AMD Radeon HD 6970mWeather program is REX2 with HD Overdrive TexturesI have many add-on sceneries however I only activate the ones I am using for the current flight.(Taxi2gate…

In the process of dpoing my first flight, and throughout the flight, I've got the Overheat lights and Low Pressure lights on for both A and B hydraulic electric pump switches. Hydraulic system is getting pressure, I'm assuming from the engine pumps Should the electric pumps be off once the engines are running? I've found no references to this issue in any of the manuals.

When the landing gear is up, flight idle is about 30% N1 When I lower the landing gear, the throttles move and increase thrust to 39% N1. My CH yoke complies with this new idle position. However, if I press F1 I can bring the throttles back to the physical idle position. But as soon as I let go of F1 they go forward again. Is this how the real NG works? I can't find anything in the manuals about the throttles physically moving to produce the approach idle thrust.

I just flew the approach to 01 at DCA. Totally blew it at the last minute, put down too hard, bounced WAY up with a roll to the right before pitching down and slamming into the runway. It reminded me of the unfortunate FedEx MD-11 crash not to long ago, except I didnt roll all the way over. I've never felt characteristics like that in any other sim. Absolutely embarrassingly spectacular. I have to say, I'm not sure if it's todays hotfix, but I got surprisingly good performance for DCA and it's surrounding scenery objects.

Should the FMC Descent page have an option for a 'SPEED' descent? Apart from the speed intervene button how do we get VNAV to enter a VNAV SPEED descent?I was under the impression the des page should have options for PATH and SPEED descents - PATH being the default, with SPEED being selectable at button 5R? The FCOM v2 seems to agree. Adam Turley

And once again it has happened to me. What am I missing? This usually happens not on the first flight after loading FSX, much more likely on the second or third. FD bars simply don't show up with no reason I'd be aware of. No matter how hard you hit buttons on the MCP, they will never ever get on again until reloading everything. Anyone seen this?? EDIT:Oh and another "nice" one is this... After takeoff, disable LNAV and switch off FDs. You should eventually come up with this: Cool eh?? And even better, cycling FD R on and off will switch between VNAV SPD and VNAV PTH back and forth. Now I wonder what's happening behind the scenes there. Interestingly enough, VNAV is de…

Dear all, First of all congratulation to PMDG fot this wonderful product. Some bugs I encountered at the beginning were due to bad tuning of my system. Others were fixed by the hotfix. I am very happy with this product. The only critic I have at this moment is the maximum seat capacity which is 'unrealistic', charter airlines going up to 189y in the 800. But this is discussed elsewhere on this forum. My question to FS Inn and/or teamspeak users: When switching from and one atc-frequency to the next, I still keep hearing the previous atc station (eg Frankfurt approach transfers me to Frankfurt tower, I switch frequency on my comm radio to Frankfurt tower, but I keep hearing…

I am curious about the lack of horizontal span in Win 7. I am currently using XP 64 in horizontal span mode. For those of you using dual monitors in Win 7 can you drag the FSX window across both monitors and not have the cockpit have elongated weird looking gauges? In other words does it look like horizontal span in XP? ThanksDon

Thanks for removing my post That did not give me a chance to answer Your reply....I don´t know which tests You did on FPS versus polygon counts nor do I question the skills of Your developers, but Your answer left me standing back looking kind of stupid.I´m working as a FSX developer myself so I have some kind of knowledge about polgon counts versus framerate. This is how it works (better read carefully cause there might be something to learn): Realtime graphics nowadays is built from single geometric triangles inside the graphics cards. At the end there is a texture assigned to it and after that all is displayed together on the monitor. Thats explained in the simple wa…

Hi, on a previous post that i can't find a few people suggested to use the website Flight Aware to find IFR routes etc to then use in the sim to recreate real world flights. I have registered at the site and i goto Pilot Resources and select the link that says "Recently Used IFR Routes" it says it can display all the details of any flight form the last 24 hours. I have tried several airports such as EHAM to EGLL but no info is displayed? Can anyone help? am i doing something wrong here? I know this is a tenuous post for this forum but you guys are the only people i know in the whole world that use this stuff for this particular sim. Regards Phil Brewer
