I was reading earlier that the dome light wasnt functioning properly on DIM --- I have installed both hotfixes and so far the switch works perfectly -- it is both dim and super bright.

Holy moly, just did the secure checklist, parked at the gate at DFW after a great flight from LAX, using RC4 and a great little iPad App called iGMAPHD which is a moving map on Sectionals, Terminals, HI Alt Charts and basic google map ... very awesome, and it works flawlessly, my addiction to FSNAV now is terminated. NO FREEZES THANKS VERY MUCH!!! to my new friend Pan Lalas in Hong Kong who helped me do the needed SIM and graphics card tuning and other tweaking and to PMDG for their latest fix!!!! I feel like a little kid, and at 62, that's quite a thing!!!! This is indeed a wonderful piece of software!!! I can't wait to dive into more details!!! and to fly more!!!!…

Hello,I already submitted a ticket on this problem about 48 hours ago, but I didn't receive any response yet.This is my problem, it's already been discussed a little, but I can't seem to be able to solve it.When I'm at cruising altitude, I'm mostly flying from SID to STAR. In this case, I was doing a flight from HELX (Luxor) to EHRD (Rotterdam). I have FSX's default real world weather engine switched on. FSUIPC's weather smoothing has also been turned on and working. Whem I'm at cruising altitude (FL370 in this case), the weather obviously gets updated every 15 minutes. When there is a change in wind direction or speed, no matter if FSUIPC weather smoothing is on or off, …

I have no idea why the aircraft is not adhering to the speeds to the legs listed in the fmc, any help would be great, thank you.

I use a multi-screen environment with 3 screens in total and therefore I'm one of the old-fashioned guys using 2D panels. What I found is the following: Whenever I use the secondary screens for input and thus take the focus from the primary screen (meaning the primary screen to be where FSX ist dispalying and where the 2D instrument panel is displayed) part of the sound diappears. As long as only (I guess) airconditioning sound is concerned I wouldn't mind. However things are a bit worse: all RA call outs including the altitude warning are also lost. Has someone else also noticed this? I'm using Win7 64-bit with the onboard sound chip of my ASUS P6T deluxe V2 motherboard.…

Anytime I go to a different page, such as instant replay or any click anything on the top bar, flight simulator crashes and I get a fatal error message. Is any one else getting this, and if so is there a work around. I've downloaded the hot fix and the problem stll exist.

I completed my 1st full flight today, KSAN-KELP. I jacked the approach a bit by coming in way too fast. I had the autobrake set to minimum and after I came to a stop, I turned off the autobrake and the brakes would NOT release. I had to set the parking brake and then release it so I could taxi to the gate. Once I was in motion, I had no braking at all. I used my yoke command and the keyboard command and the only brakes that would set were the parking brakes. This was not an issue that occured when I was in San Diego. Any ideas of what I missed? Okay, as is obvious, I am new to practically all this stuff. I constantly fly the tutorial, and am getting pretty good at it. The only question I have not been able to answer on my own concerns the phrase "capture the localizer". The tutorial instructs me to press the VOR/LOC button to arm the autopilot to intercept the localizer. I am familiar with ILS approaches, and know the pink diamonds guide you down, but what exactly does "capture the localizer" mean? What is a localizer? Where is the localizer guage? What indications are there that it has been captured" What does it have to do with the glideslope? What exactly does "most of the MCP mode button lights blank…

In VC view when it´s rainy, there is not rain effect in window glass. In 2D view the rain effect there is present (drops).

Could we just check that there isn't a processer issue...Many CTD folk seem to have i7's whereas Core2 Duo (and AMD 2 core flavours) seem to be ok. Worth a check?

How's it going guys? I fully understand that PMDG is busy working on the 700/600 package but I was wondering if there are going to be any TAROM repaints available for the 800/700...I was also thinking about the Retro paint and Skyteam schemes that they currently use on one of their 737s. Do you guys think you can come out with one or two?

Hi there, I've noticed that when hand flying a departure with LNAV and VNAV armed and the autopilot disengaged, that at flap acceleration hieght, the aircraft trims the elevators a little. Does anyone know what section of what manual I can read to find out more about what is going on here logic wise? Thanks,

Can someone tell me if this is user error: I have no problems at all with the system before departure - I'll service the system (via the CDU), >90% and 3,000psi - No indication of any issues. While airborne, I'll get an indication that something is wrong. The electric pump systems give me an overheat error and it registers as two failures. ( One for each system A & B ) At this point the quantity indicatied is approx 70% in the appropriate system.. I reset the failures via the CDU and everything goes back to normal.. for about ten minutues until it happens again... Is this a user issue or a 737NG quirk or something? Appreciate any feedback. When I try to check the run as administrator FSX shortcut it is grayed out, can someone tell me how to fix this

After I loaded the "must" have file...Nothing has worked rigtht...After firing up the engines and ready for takeoff...(Using single control) for dual throttle, it shows both throttles increasing on the pedestal,however, only the right engine increases power...The number one engine has no response...What am I doing wrong?

In my 30+ years of simming, I have bought every aircraft addon (with a few exceptions) and "listened" in on the forums about some people's issues with their newly acquired addon. Miraculously or very fortunately I never had an issue with ANY addon. They ALWAYS worked right out of the setup.exe. O my, I now have compassion for all of those disappointed simmers with their issues, which I never had. So here I am, with one of the most detailed, wonderful versions of a simulated aircraft I could ever dream about, after waiting years, only to be in a situation where I cannot complete a flight, not even one measly little hop from LA to Dallas. Just to let you know the NGX runs quite well on my basic system - well, after a bit of work! Frames reasonable at around 15/20 VC and 25/30+ spot views. Set to "unlimited" with Track IR the action is quite smooth so rates good enough. 280 Driver update was a big improvement and the latest "Hotfix" seems to have provided a boost as well, though I have yet to retry the tutorial which froze on first attempt when CMD selected. CFG is standard, apart from HIGHMEMFIX, and TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD remains at 1024.Only snag is, I think I prefer the look of the JS4100!!! A little less shiny perhaps?Anyway, there is a lot to look forward to.Regards,Will Evans

I still have the original Ngx installation, and never installed the first hotfix. Now, RSR said the new one has to be installed, so do I have to install the old one, or cab I just install the one?

Hi :)My NGX works perfectly on my first computer, which has FSX acceleration.It works less pleasantly on my second computer, which only has FSX SP1. (Nothing's moving, not any button, control surface, or anything else.. from any view) Does it require SP2 ?Thanks
