So I recently got the NGX up and running and upgraded from the GTX 275 to the 460 and installed REX 2.0. Before Rex I was only getting about 14 fps and now that I installed REX it dropped down to 8 and I'm thinking this cant be right. I'm defintely not computer savey, but I love my flght simming, so if anyone had maybe a basic outline on how I could increase my frames that would be awesome, nothing to technical cause like I said, not to savey when it comes to the tech side of things. I was hoping with my new overclocked 460 I should be getting 20 + at least. I also don't have anything else running, this computer is basically for PMDG. Any advice would be greatly apprec…

Greetings all,. Question about a non-precision approach. I was flying the RNAV rwy 27 approach into KSAN today. The chart had me descending to 1800, and then what looks to be a 3.14 degree descent to the rwy. How do you set up the plane to descend like that? Or is that not the proper procedure? Here's the chart. Many thanks.http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/SAN/IAP/RNAV+(GPS)+RWY+27/pdf

Hello, I just want to share this with you all. I realy like to start my flight from the location where I landed and parked my brand new NGX. :) Also I want it to be in the same state as I left it.So here is how I do ti. 1. When I park and shut down I save my flight and mark it as default flight. There is a checkbox at the bottom of the window "Make this as default flight". I call this save "Current" 2. This step neads to be done only once. In FMC go to PMDG Setup and click Startup State.PMDG did great thing as they are saving plane state with FSX save. So in this list you can find saved "Current.flt". Select it. So now, every time I startup FSX I just click fly now, and …

Hello all, Real quick question...when I turn on Service Based Failures in the main "Simulation" page on the CDU, does that turn them on for every system or do I then have to enable them for each system individually as well? Thanks,Adam

A couple questions: Will automatic ignition be added in the future? Will the pax loading be changed so the actual number of desired passengers can be entered, instead of the desired number minus 7? These minor issues are the only real issues I have with NGX since switching from ASX.

About an hour ago I started a flight from LEMD - Madrid Barajas to GCLP - Las Palmas in the 737-800 Air Europa variant using the short-turnaround cockpit state. Shortly after pushback and engine start I noticed that the "Left FWD Overwing" and "Right FWD Overwing" lights were illuminated in the overhead. I didn't notice exactly when this happened, only that it was after I had done a lights test. I spent about 20mins on the ground, trying to troubleshoot this by taking the following steps: Checked QRH, section 1.14, but it was of little help. Cycled overwing exits twice. "Left & Right AFT Overwing" lights illuminated and subsequently extinguished as appropriately, bu…

Hey guys!I am using a CH Throttle quadrant and I have an axis configured for the spoilers. For some reason the spoiler on the pmdg ngx deploys automatically and it arms itself on the ground.I removed the axis assignment on FSUIPC and it still happens. What could be happening?Do you recomend using FSUIPC for it or native FSX controls? Thanks much in advance. Teo

I did now 5 full flights with the NGX and so far everything works perfect. The only issue I observed during this flights is with the brake temperatures. On all my landings I used the autobrake setting 3, and flaps 30 or 40 and idle reverse. The strange thing now is that I never observed a change on the temperature indication. After every landing they stayed at the value 0.0. I only "achieved" to get hot higher temperatures when I used manual braking. Has anyone else made the same observation? Is this a failure or just the real behaviour? BTW i use the steel brakes

I use to check my Simconnect connection a program AITraffic.exe on my laptop. It's a simple check if Simconnect is properly working before the flight.Every other aircraft shows:Connected to Flight Simulator!Received:2That's how I know that it's working good. But with NGX, I get:...AI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxxAI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxxAI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxxAI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxxAI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxxAI object removed: Type=1, ObjectID=xxxxxx...And it's permanently doing that. Not stopping. Anyone noticed the same thing?Does it impact the performance?

In some payware airports e.g.Athens the 737NGX has good fps daytime 27-30, at dusk or night fps drops to 7-10,but if I change to window mode fps returns to 27-30. Is there a simple reason for this? thanks

I have a registered copy of PMDG 737-NGX 747-400X and MD-11X on file and easily verified. Someone told me that 737-NGX is up on Pirate Bay. Why not require everyone in the forum to use their real name? The one that is associated with their PMDG 737-NGX order. Then Delete any Threads without valid names that don't have a verifiable Order on file. Might encourage people to buy the plane instead of stealing it, when they find out they can't get any support in the Forum or Updates. Or maybe introduce a virus that only affects the hacked one on Pirate bay. So when they download any future updates instead of it fixing the problem it automatically uninstalls their 737-NGX.

When executing a flight plan, at some point the init page will be replaced by an "approach" page that gives the frequency and orientation of the destination runway that you chose when making the flight plan. This information is not always correct, because FSX and NGX apparently do not always use the same database. For example, for Frankfurt runway 25L NGX gives 248 degrees an ILS frequency of 111.55 (not sure about the first 3 numbers), but the FSX map gives the ILS frequency as 111.35 and 248 degrees as well. The first time I flew Hamburg (FDDH) to Frankfurt (EDDF), everything worked fine and the plane autolanded beside the runway on a catIII autoland using the NGX freq…

Due to the terrible performance I was getting with my nVidia 7950 GT, I bought and installed a new Pny Overclocked GTX 460. This has only improved visuals marginally (a 5-10 FPS increase in general). However, my sound has gone all to hell. There is a constant popping and crackling sound whenever the game engine is rendering in 3-D. By this I mean that if you're at the settings screen when the program loads, the music plays fine. But as soon as you click on the Free Flight screen, and a plane is rendered and spinning, the distortions begin. And once you're in the actual flight engine, they become much worse. I've tried all the recommended fixes, including: Bufferpool…
