Sound:If you go to the wing view you will hear realistic flap sounds (whining sound) from the passengers perspective. But of course you don't hear it in the cockpit. Also the fuel pumps have this whining sound which is realistic. This reminds me of the aircraft when going on holiday. I hope PMDG keep this sound detail in mind as it is very good, for future developments. Flight ControlsBoth rudder and aerolons seem more sensitive? I have never flown a real 737 so I can't judge this. But it feels different to the old 737NG? They have obviously been thinking about this? CDUI like the way the PMDG options and FS options are hidden in the CDU menu . You never have to leave…

Yes, I know SWAL livery (CBA to change it right now) =D I am doing a flight from YMML-YSCB in the 737-800 right now and it is simply amazing! I cannot believe how smooth it runs on ORBX YMML and ASE and REX and all this crap and it's all completely smooth. Guys, listen to me, tuning goes a LONG way. All of you with crazy PC's and horrible perf and CTD's and what not, I feel bad for you. =/

Im not that experienced simmer and this is my first time really learning about how to program the fmc. I did the tutorial flight and i tried to implement what i learned into flying out of TTPP to TTCP of BGI (Barbados)but the airport has no SIDS or STARS only approaches and runways . How do i thus program a flight plan from any of these airports so i can use VNAV LNAV etc? for eg , in the tutorial we were told to enter UL620 as a VIA to dest airpt Again im new to this. any help will be greatly appreciated. SOrry if this seems dumb to some experienced guys here but everyone starts somehwre right?

Hi!Been flying the NGX since it was released now flawlessly. But I have one problem. The autothrottle. I can't get the TO/Go around to work. I've set up the FMC and airplane properly, autothrottle engaged, but when I advance the throttles to 40% for take-off and push the TO/Go around button nothing happens. I've even tried to assign a keyboard button for the TO/GO around mode via the FMC, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong here?

Always hovered around the forums but never posted before, so here goes. So, I've been having an odd problem as of late. When using the REX weather engine, or even the default MSFSX engine, the winds change their direction between 8,000 and 15,000 feet. It doesn't happen with any other plane, just the NGX. The only option is to have a completely clear sky with no winds at all, because regardless of speed, the wind heading bug on the EFIS spins in little circles like mad. Frankly, I'm at a loss and curious if anyone else experiences this phenomenon too.

I like to use Radar Contact (RC) as my ATC. I have had a problem with flightplans that have sharp turns at waypoints. The FMC starts these turns prior to the waypoint and RC sees this as a missed waypoint and will try to direct me back to that waypoint. Is there a way to force the NGX to start its turns after crossing the waypoint. The only way that I've been able to do this is to move the turn beyond the waypoint by adding a distance to the route page (e.g., waypoint/5). Is there a better way of doing this?

Hello, In the 1st tutorial flight from Gatwick the tutorial speaks of pounds when referring to fuel and cargo loads, however the CDU is in Kilos, is there something I must change somewhere so everyone speaks the same lingo? Cheers

Not sure why I was locked out for replying to the last thread on this but nobody gave any clear answers so here are the following questions. 1) If the High Altitude switch is currently not modeled that means the max altitude for landing is 8400 ft which is what the Boeing specs say. 2) Even if it was modeled and allowed for up to 12,000 feet it still wouldnt be rated for SLLP at 13,325 ft So therefore technically the only Boeing Aircraft currently rated to take off from SLLP are either the 757 or 787?

Hi everyoneAm not sure if I have a problem with the VNAV logic. Just now I completed a flight from Innsbruck to Heathrow. Hand flew the departure from runway 26 doubling back towards RTT. Selected VNAV when I was near the magenta line and then selected the AP. The plane climbed perfectly in VNAV. Was cleared down into EGLL just before TOD selected FL260 and as the plane passed TOD she descended in VNAV from FL360, at FL 340 she stopped descending. The FMC command speed was still 0.8M. The descent profile on the ND screen showed that I was not descending quickly enough and was rapidly very high over the intended profile. I flew for about 8nm and she remained at FL340. Then…

I've tried to use the EFB .rte files with the NGX and they don't work. I just emailed Michael at Vroute and he said that he hadn't tested it with the new 737 (?) but that if it DIDN'T work, somebody here would know :>) Thanks,Mark

Is this one of the issues that is addressed in the Hot Fix ? If it is, then maybe some users can give feedback as to if they think it is fixed as well. Geoff

...at least on my system. Though I have not (as yet) had any issues with freezing panels, I installed the hot fix this morning, and just completed a 3.5 hour flight KBFI-KMCI. Though it wasn't specifically mentioned as an issue addressed in the patch, the tendency for the aircraft to make "abrupt" turn entries seems to be completely gone. During the flight, there were several 40-to-90 degree turns, both when operating in LNAV, and using heading select. Now, in every case, the aircraft rolled into each turn very smoothly - no more "lurch". This was also my NGX first flight using ASE. I have always used FSUIPC, but for this flight, I removed it from the modules folder, as …

Hello, This is what I don't like about the engines. They just don't behave realisticly. I know that because I've been on the 737 many times, in the front, so I could hear it. I've flown in the cockpit of a Transavia 737-800, I've seen on the EICAS how differently they behave, you can even see it in the video right under this post. The Tutorial 1 says, that after 40% N1, the engines accelerate really quickly. This is not the case because it's actually after 50% N1 on the NGX. But in the real NG, the engines accerelate really fast already after 30% N1! And also, they are much more stable. They accelerate, and immediately establish at the N1 input of the pilot. If you put in …

HiI have had the freeze issues and thankfully the Hotfix seems to have cured that. I have also had problems with my Go Flight throttles setting a too high N1 and together with the A/T tripping out on the climb. So I decided to use my Saitek throttle quadrant and all those problems disappeared. Am wondering if the Go Flight throttles may have contributed to the "freeze problem"? I have also upgraded my CPU to an i7 2600K o/c to 4.2GHz together with a new M/B and Corsair H70 cooler. This afternoon I o/c to 4.4GHz. This only resulted in the dreaded blue screen. I then reset my CPU to 4.2GHz and everything appears fine. Now I thought I had the cooling sorted out, but I rememb…

Is anyone else having FSX CTD when trying to start FSInn with the NGX loaded? I have trialled various starting procedures, but if I try to load FSInn with the NGX loaded, then FSX crashes to Disk. At the moment I am having to start FSInn, and then load NGX after FSInn is running. This is only happening with the NGX.
